- Big metropoli (such as NY)

- Big city (such as Madrid)

- Medium-sized city (such as Wichita,US)

-Big town (such as Chadderton,UK)

you're wrong ..  madrid has 6 milions pepole living in the metropolitan area, san francisco reach 7,7  dallas 6,3 and boston 7,5

Well depends on how you're asking the question... do you mean game wise? Or real life living wise? Game wise NY styled huge tall citys. Real life living Between Big and Medium like Dallas TX.

I prefer really large cities like NYC, LA, and Chicago for those huge skyscrapers, but small, rural areas are nice as well (and a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle).

I kind of like something like the Twin Cities, or like Salt Lake City. A dense commercial downtown, with high rise residential, and then urban sprawl. Also like Washington DC, but with taller buildings.
