Good job on the updates. I am going to my old city Virginia Beach, Virginia for vacation on July, 21 and I'll be gone for 1 week. I'll take pictures and hopefully I will show them to you and the layout of the city is amazing since the city is Virginia's largest city. P.S. Can you try to make a video update in UDI mode because I love those.

    A Quick Announcement:

    SERVER CRASH!

The Blue Hope City Journal Website experienced a web server crash on July 31st between 6 am and 4 pm. Noone was able t access the website and even after there was trouble logging into the fileshare system. Everything is up and functional again and you may now proceed to use the system as you normally did.

I would also like to welcome our new member jamesb0079!

I hope you enjoy your experience in the Blue Hope City Journal Community...
    ________________

I also wanted to show a few photos of my highway sign progress and state that I will be working on a few developments in the near future to set an example as to how the new system works so stay tuned for my request for my development.

    Sign Progress...

That's good. Also it really stinks about the server crash. Sometimes you can't really trust them all of the time. Well, Nice work on the signs.

Those signs are looking good. I have a question though. On the gantries, the vertical posts that the sign is mounted to seem to be impossible to modify. There is no place, that I can find, to change the height, so they stick up past the signs. Other than that I do have some done, and I'll do some more if you have any explanation for that. I can post a picture if you need.

I hope you get everything worked out with the website.

deathtopumpkins - The Verticle Posts are sign mounts. There are occasions in the real world where they stick up above the sign boards themselves aswell although your average sign board should be taller than the posts. Even in this example the Exit Ramp only had 2 things to say and it was larger.

If you absolutely MUST edit them, they've been converted to poly's so you'll need to select one at a time, go to the edit button (not menu), then select the "points" option. now select the move tool and select the top or buttom portion of the post and you'll beable to drag it up or down without moving the rest of the post.

deathtopumpkins - Your sign boards need to be larger than that. That is why it seems like the posts behind it are oversized but if you transfered it to the game, you would barely beable to see the signs themselves.

My Average Sign Board is around 4 Meters in length and 5 in height.

The "Modify" option is a small tab just to the right of the "Create" tab on the right window pane...

But then they wouldn't all fit... I can try to vertically stretch them out more though.

I know the modify tab, but you said the edit button in your last post.

deathtopumpkins - ways to solve that.

#1 Spread the signs out to more / different sign posts (meaning maximizing 2 signs per post or 3 if one of them are small.

#2 Use the RHW6 Sign Post and just make sure you know how to place it.

#3 Make them large enough to cover the sign posts or atleast 80% of them.

I took the third off and made the other two larger, though not quite your size you mentioned.

    Does that look better?

Well, as it stands, the old 202 Bypass (current 101 Turnpike) has been completed. If you know how to BAT, you can help with the signage. Or you can join Tuckaway Transporation in effort to find future areas to biuld other expressways.

But first you'll need to go to the website and follow the instructions followed by downloading the region. The link to the site is in my sig.

ecoba - Cool, go to UGA? I used to go to Athens Tech up that way off of U.S. 29. Loop 10 happens to be amongst my favorite freeways, I like how it's so scenic and it's much like an interstate yet its not apart of the interstate system.

I'm back from a very uninteresting vacation. Well, how's it going everyone? I hope everyone had a decent summer.

Also, I just remembered something from long past:

Screwy web development and other video games have distracted me. I just want to go back to this CJ and start developing.

Apparently, I somehow managed to make lots of neat things for the Blue Hope website, but scince the server crash FTP login info has been screwed up. I'm sorry for being oh-so-incredibly inactive. :C

Benedict - Thanks, any plans for railway extensions?

FlyingHat - LOL you've been gone for nearly the entire summer. It's fine though. Do you use MSN? I have a few questions regarding php.

Also are you proposing to develope that? If so tell me so I can reserve that Parcel.

un1 - Thanks! ^_^ - You can still develop if you desire

KingTitan - Thank you! - Stick around for awhile this time 2.gif

    jacqulina - Thanks!

VOTE - To Biuld Pallisades and Windfield or Not?

Okay! For my next update I'm going to give a demonstration (and actually develope on Newark) as to how the new system will work. So I am going to load up the region and select an area I desire to biuld upon and take a series of photos of it. After that I am going to open and edit the photo and display what I desire to biuld.

In this case, Windfield and Palisades, just west of Auringy City and east of Eaton.

This development will exist as a residential gateway to provide housing for the nearby industries of Auringy City.

It will be developed between Highway 304 and 504 which will provide convinient access to the nearby expressways.

Have a look below image, and click the link for a larger photo

    DevelopmentRequest1.jpg

Light Green represents a low density residential community will exist as a medium wealth subdivision and the Dark Green represents a High Density Residential Apartment / Condo area featuring 1x1 to 3x3 Tiles to provide homes for the LOW wealth residential market.

Unlike a standard request, where I or a Request Ordinator will approve or deny it, I will ask the SimTropolis Community to VOTE upon whether or not this development should be biult. If it is passed then I will reserve this Parcel and continue about biulding the develpment.

Well then, you got your first approved vote from me then. Because the new area looks nice for homes. But, since the new area is located next to some dirty industry areas, consider placing parks where I drew the sea foam green area to make the area look nicer

Well the only minor problem is that the High Density Residential was supposed to house lowclass residents to stimulate the job economy.
