Ok deathtopumpkins, I'm now very glad your thinking of adding my old middle school (Larkspur Middle School LKMS) well, here's the things you need to know about the school: Sea Green colored metal roof, several atriums, in other words, look it up on Google Earth. Also can you please make my old house? Type in on Google Earth: 4602 Stonebridge Lane VA Beach, VA. it is a townhouse split into mainly 2-floor houses. So, I'll be glad if you'll make them. P.S. That mysterious hump on I-264 between the Independence Blvd and the Rosemont Rd exits is the leftover remains of a tollbooth that got torn down on I-264 in 1995.

I MIGHT make them. I have a bunch of other projects on my slate, but I'll get to this ASAP.

I know plenty about the former tolls on 264 back before it became 264. It doesn't suprise me there are remanents of toll booths.

Willg - I'm in process of fullfilling your request but I have a few questions - Do you want 400 Pumps or want 400 Tiles? And do you want 400 of whatever per Parcel or equally distributed between those three parcels?

May I also apologize for not resurrecting myself faster. Man, being dead is not fun.

I almost forgot about simtropolis and I was distracted by a nice little game called Diablo 2. :C

    Attention Everyone!

This will be my final MAINSTREAM update to satisfy requests!

This means that from here on, you MUST visit the Blue Hope City Journal Website, register to become a member, login, download the parcels, follow the instructions and fullfill your own requests for developments

    THE STORYLINE WILL CONTINUE!!!

I would like to give everyone a huge thanks and a congratulations as it stands Blue Hope in this current form would have lasted just slightly less than a year. Roughly 10 Months. The new system will ensure the city journal will remain alive and upon my spare time I will see sure to it that the website remains up to date and that memberships are approved... and of course a few extras.

BE SURE YOU KEEP WATCH ON THIS THREAD TO SEE THE MOST RECENT UPDATED PARCEL!!!

Now to continue with the update!

    ______________________________________

When we last left off, I was partway through recovering a lost update so I would like to finish that off first...

A few new developments push their way into Newark...

    ResidentialDevelopment2.jpg

    ResidentialDevelopment1.jpg

    Development1.jpg

Near Highway 2 and its underpass with the 101 Turnpike just west of Linaton a group of residential apartments and medium dense homes break into the Hill Side...

    CommercialDistrict.jpg

In the center of Eaton we find a low wealth shopping center biult upon satifying the demand of low end shops. Unfortunately most residents of Eaton are displeased with its position and hope for renovation projects to bring more wealthy commerces, however; the mayor doesn't feel the economy is stable enough to support them yet.  Just south of the development is the new 504 Highway...

ELSEWERE, Almighty Nienabar would be pleased to see that...

    GretnaFireworks.jpg

    FIREWORKS FLY OVER GRETNA'S EXPANSION!

The town conviniently located just east of the 101 Turnpike and it's interchange with Highway 2 makes it convinient to move into and out of the city and into the Downtown area or Industrial areas of the mountains! A great location indeed picked by Almighty Nienabar

    Gretna0.jpg

The overview of the new development  expansion of low density residential zoning.

    Gretna1.jpg

In its completed form it holds a few low wealth homes to accomidate for the unwealthy class who wants to live in a convinient location.

    Gretna2.jpg

The older portion of Gretna matures quite nicely.

THIS IMAGE IS CLICKABLE FOR FULL RESOLUTION

Great planning and work Almighty Nienabar, your development will flourish into the new system. keep it up!

    Highway 504 Project

For some time, the connector of Highway 304 and the South Shore Rail Line between Auringy City and Downtown Newark have suffered extreme congestion. Even service along the rail line did little to nothing towards helping against the traffic.along highway 304 and so until civil engineers could further figure how to upgrade 304 through Auringy City and Eaton, a plan was called to biuld an alternate route which would include a rail line in its median for most of its portion and would bypass the suburban areas via the south while maintaining a relatively high speed limit. The route remains at-grade to cut biuld costs but it still leaves an impression throughout Eaton and Auringy City's southern borders... Lets begin...

The next few images are going to be clickable for obvious reasons...

    Hwy504-1.jpg

The 504 begins at Highway 304 with a ground light rail merging into the center of the highway as it proceeds on the eastern side of Downtown Eaton. Proceeding south and then east. Ground Light Rail stops placed every block through Eaton for convinience. The light rail proceeding west from this point is proposed merge into the South Shore Electric Rail upon the completion into mainland to further service throughout the Newark area.

    Hwy504-2.jpg

Through the suburban area of Eaton it proceeds east, gaining a bit more room for the grade as the electric rail leaves the downtown area. Higher speed limits may be attained here.

    Hwy504-3.jpg

As we prepare to leave Eaton, the 504 overpasses a county street. The empty land to the west of the south-east bend is now government property. Here will be biult a stadium, a large park, and the city council services such as the court and city hall aswell as numerous other government related biuldings. I will feature on my next miniature update. (It is already biult.)

    Hwy504-10.jpg

Leaving Eaton we enter Millidge County. A small industrial enter bids the welcome as the light rail is elevated for another stop. 504 welcomes to railway back into its median without an at-grade crossing as it proceeds eastward toward Auringy City... (East is now left)

    Hwy504-11.jpg

It proceeds through the country as a divided highway with 55 MPH speed limits. Upon entering Auringy City's southern portion, the limit declines to 45 MPH and the median is decorated with trees... Auringy residents are allowed access to the train via railstops planted along the way....

    Hwy504-12.jpg

Close up photo's as we enter Auringy City...

    Hwy504-13.jpg

The residential development here has been middle to upper wealth as this community offers shelter from crime and the heavy traffic volume that Highway 304 offers through downtown Auringy City...

    Hwy504-14.jpg

The railway services its last station above ground as it proceeds over the parenting Highway 504 to proceed North into its railway with the South Shore Rail Line - 504 proceeds east...

    Hwy504-15.jpg

Just after crossing under the railway, Highway 504 is greeted with an interchange with the 101 Turnpike from Tuckaway Transportation. This would be Exit 13 for the Turnpike.

    Hwy504-16.jpg

504 Comes to an end with Highway 25 in an industrial sector just east of Highway 304. An proposal offers to extend the highway Northeast into Highway 304 and possibaly further Northeast into Highway 104 as a southern extension of 104 or as International Highway into the Newark International Airport... The raillines proceeding South East at the bottom left corner of this photo is the South Shore Rail Line, this portion currently only offers freight transportation.

    Hwy504-17.jpg

New railyard for the SSRL and the 504 Light Rail...

I'm forced once again to continue this update tomorrow for timing reasons but rest assure it will be finalized...

I've got a question: Are we still using the points system? Because if people can just download a parcel and do it themselves, who could stop them from fudging the numbers if they went a little over?

If so, I'd kinda still like to know.

    Thanks,

    -DTP

    Almighty Nienaber - Thanks

deathtopumpkins - Read the instructions, your development has to be APPROVED BEFORE you can biuld it and upload it. Meaning yes we still are. You have to post your plans and photos of what you intend to do (before you do it) on the CJ before it can continue about biulding.

deathtopumpkins - No problem it's just I don't want anyone to go into the fileshare system without reading the instructions because if they go on the impression that they can just download and re-upload without making a request then that can lead to ALOT of chaos...

    mapmaker89 - Talk about perfect timing 2.gif

jacqulina - Thank you, you have a great CJ going on yourself btw.

un1 - It's in my sig but I see you've found it, your account has been approved .. I really need to make a banner for my website aswell.

mapmaker89 - Make sure you deduct the COST TO BIULD from the user's points whenever someone biulds a development. It is only deducted upon the construction of the development and after that you only use the total income field. Willg just recieved a deed so make sure you adjust his score accordingly. Feel free, make a request even if you like.

deathtopumpkins - Agreed, btw how're the signs for 130 Coming? you can download the region / plugins and impliment them if you wish... just make sure you tell me if you are or not so I can notify everyone..

    Final Update Continued -

    Click for full resolution!

    Midtown.jpg

Midtown developes northeast of the Hwy 4, NWTP 101 Interchange. The housing project allows low wealth residents to live much closer to downtown, however with the sacrifice  of space. The avenue here is Park Place Industrial Blvd and is the first exit for Hwy 4's sunken area. This low wealth community is among one of many projects to bring more residents into Newark for the Oil Industry...

Highway 37 has seen some substantial growth northward with the anticipation of the oil industry's arrival in the mountains and the mall of Newark near Hwy 4.

    NewDevelopment.jpg

About 10 Miles west of Mount Kendra we find the Rural route of 37 to service several community subdivisions in these higher elevations. The addition of a new garbage dump relocates the previous old dump from the Highway 35 Cooridoor. The new dump offers up to twice as much capacity as the previous dump allowed and has cleaned up several surface streets from the plains just south of the mountains.

    NewDevelopment2.jpg

A closer image of 37's course through the mountains and a subdivision.

    NewDump.jpg

The new trash dump (pretty site isn't it? Nonetheless it's important so I'll feature it anyway) is conviniently located off of the new Hwy 8. Speaking of, Highway 8 is a east/west route that was just finished to connect residents of these mountain tops to Highway 35 and Mount Kendra's coaling facilities without needing to proceed into Newark to accomplish this.

It was originally proposed as a divided highway but more industry occupied the locals nearby and so upgrades were not necessary. A divided highway would have also been far more expensive to biuld through this jagged terrain, lets have a look at it...

    Route8-1.jpg

After proceeding from the garbage dump, the route curves into the hills and proceeds North East as it gains altitude in preparation to climb to the BASE of Mount Kendra...The grades were controlled causing the need for several switch backs. The routes highest speed limit is 55 MPH and is biult into rural highway standards which allow oncoming lane passing and has shoulder room on the side. There are no commercial services along the way (yet) so for now, you must drive into Newark to purchase gasoline before proceeding through Highway 8 if you're low.

    Route8-2.jpg

Route 8 enters the next Parcel eastward having an intersection with another route that proceeds northeast into a coal power station and an Oil Rig Setup from willg. It proceeds mostly eastward as it rides against the shoulder of a mountain...

    Route8-3.jpg

The cliff like terrain levels off after awhile as it proceeds into more stable but still higher ground...  Can you immagine taking  a route like this on your daily commute? 500 residents can! Thats the amount who currently use this route.

    Hwy8-4.jpg

Proceeding finally into Parcel 13 we continue to outwit the rugged terrain by riding the shoulder of the mountain.

    Hwy8-5.jpg

Highway 8 continues eastward until finally approaching the climax of its journey, the base of Mount Kendra. The area is too jagged and steep to safely biuld on so the best way to handle it was to go under it and thats exactly what Highway 8 does, featuring a tunnel a mile and a half long as it passes under Mount Kendra...

    Hwy8-6.jpg

Highway 8 finally reemerges in a location that only see's daylight from morning to afternoon. It proceeds east and temporairly terminates into Highway 35, north of Industrial Park Place and South of the Coaling Industries. There are proposals to extend Highway 8 into Highway 25, and perhaps Toll Road 130 to provide access to Turner Station, Fireplace and proceed right into Riverseed and Johnson Village as the existing avenue over the oconee river. The extension may also take it Southeast into Highway 4 as an access controlled highway making plans for an northern outer beltway for Newark, to return to Highway 4 just west of Lantia.

    Hwy8-7.jpg

Closeup photo of the terminus of Highway 8 into Highway 35.

    _____________________________________

With that, I'd like to show some upgrades along Highway 37 and then we'll move into willg's request...

    Hwy37-Overview.jpg

South of the New Dump, and slightly lower in altitude (but not much) we come to a new development called crossroads. A major developement that spawled due to the convinience Hwy 37 and this new road offered. 37 Proceeds north to the oil rigs and south back to Newark. The east/west road provides access to the industrial fortresses located on the base of Mount Kendra...

    Hwy37-1.jpg

    Closer image...

    OilRigs8.jpg

Just south of crossroads as we climb down in elevation we come to an intersection which provides access to another one of WillG's oil rig locations, and speaking of I suppose it's about time we covered his oil situation!

WillG purchased 400 tiles worth of Oil Rigs. Most of which are distributed along Highway 37 with another portion given access by Highway 8...

    OilRigs.jpg

The first batch located north of this residential community in the Mountains...

    OilRigs2.jpg

The plants work dilligently to pump black gold from the ground. The new fuel for Newarks Economy is at met as soon Industries from around the globe will be drawn to Newark.

    OilRigs3.jpg

    Closer look at the plants

Northwest of Mnt Kendra this drilling facility is given access by Highway 8. The local road runs into and dead ends into Highway 8 at the border of this Parcel.

I'm working on them, I have a couple done with the new gantry, but I'm having a problem. The vertical posts mounted on the top that the actual signboards are attached to are too tall for my signs, but gmax isn't letting me change any of their dimensions. It's just not an option, so for now the posts just stick up above the signs.

Looks like you're missing a base texture on those oil wells.

Oh and I'll wait a little while and get some more done before I download the parcel.

deathtopumpkins - Very well. I'm working on the E/W Connector Signs myself and things are coming kind of slow so I understand. Whats the texture I'm missing on the oil wells?

lilmanjs - Alot, Blue Hope's system has changed into fileshare system. I no longer will fullfill requests due to a breakneck schedule in my RL. However I have biult the site to accomidate for you all to share the region and make your own requests and developments. Basically you download the parcels and plugins, load the parcel you interested in developing in, take a snapshot of the area you're interested in developing in, plot your plans on M.S. Paint or an imaging program like you did before and host it on photobucket / imageshack, come to this thread and post your plans and if they're approved I will assign you a slot in which you may proceed about BIULDING your development. Reupload to the website when you're done and tell us it's been updated along with posting your update / images of what you did.

When you recieve a timeslot, you'll be notified if someone else is already working in that Parcel, if they are then you'll need to download the Parcel again after they're done uploading it BEFORE biulding your development otherwise you'll overwrite his development.

You MUST upload the plugins you've used - do NOT just post a link to them...

Asside from that I've activated your account so you can login and download everything.

Read the instructions on the first page and the website

Videos are now on the first page of the cityjournal / youtube AND downloadable for high quality versions...

    Miniature Update

I've forgot to cover a few things so let me square some stuff away...

    Overview.jpg

    1. The new Civil Center located in the suburban Eaton area just south of the new Hwy 504.

    2. A large recreation center based in Eaton, known as the Eaton Central Park.

    3. Baseball stadum for the little league

    4. Planning for new homes in this once thriving farm community. Almighty Nienaber has also contributed to two high capacity Industrial Centers.

    5. Intersection and Road Upgrades to Hwy 304.

    CivicServices.jpg

Starting with #1, Newark constructs its county court and city hall in the lush lands of Eaton, accessable just south of Hwy 504. This was once nothing but farmland however as Newark proceeds to push 500,000 people, the city was forced to open up a centralized government system. Here lies the council which will control the entire colony of Newark.

    CivicServices2.jpg

The City Hall is located in the center of OconeePalm Pkwy, access is made convinent by a roundabout.

    CivicServices3.jpg

The Eaton Central Police Headquarters is conviniently located in the area not only to protect the government services however a good majority of the Eaton area. Located to its right is the city court, convinient in such a way where Justice will reign.

    EatonGrandePark.jpg

The Eaton Central Park finds itself conviniently located just outside of the Stadium on the OconeePalm Pkwy just where the road reforms from a split to a joined avenue. The 504 overpasses a community road and continues westward. The Park is a peacefull quiet spot for many citizens of Eaton to relax. There are plans in the works to add fountains. Contained in the park are two small ponds, playgrounds and a tennis court to entertain the youth.

    EatonGrandePark2.jpg

Closeup photo of the lush environment the new park provides.

    Stadium.jpg

Just south of the Park is Newarks Baseball Stadium for the Major League. Provided was a medium sized parking which currently is aquedate for the crowd. The OconeePalm Pkwy proceeds Eastward from here.

    Stadium3.jpg

Finally the OconeePalm Pkwy lets way to a few medium dense residential communities and terminates just South of Hwy 504 into East Eaton Drive. East Eaton Drive experienced a surge of traffic with the addition of new residential communities and jobs and was just converted into a divided highway which proceeds north and south.

Proceeding North along East Eaton Drive, we find ourselves at a new residential community which was inspired by the introduction of Industry provided by Almighty Nienabar...

    NewDevelopment.jpg

This residnetial development is planned to expand behind the industrial manufactures to provide homes for workers in the area.

    NewIndustry.jpg

Inspired by Almighty Nienabar, this Industrial Community provides jobs for the lower income residents of Newark along the East Eaton Drive.

Almighty Nienabar your deed is pending...

    Hwy304Upgrade.jpg

The new upgraded intersection between Highway 304 and East Eaton Drive where 304 gains extra lanes to distribute traffic accordingly from the Auringy City area and East Eaton Drive returns to its original state just north of the intersection. East Eaton Drive proceeds normally from here across the E/W Connector (Hwy 4) via an Overpass and into Northern Eaton.

Thats all for today folks, I hope to see your development requests soon 4.gif

I'm not sure what the texture is. If you look on some of them you can see the grid showing through, which means there's a missing texture. Double-check the dependency list.
