everything is great and makes me proud to be an american except that 80 south....it looks like a) my butt, or b) a little kids toy.

is transnational place going to be somewhere in the 1200's now?? it was originally 1000, but then they made it taller.

There's a building boom coming in Boston, the South Bay tower is a proposed 1,000 ft and South Station Tower is getting under way, planned to be about 950 ft.

    Indeed. It looks like something you would see in Japan (no offense to Japan). It just doesn't look like something you would see in the New York skyline. And you're right, its future is still uncertain. The building has not sold any one of its 10 multi-million dollar residential cubes, and it is unlikely that construction will commence until more units are sold. So to me, that's actually good news.

    Interchange...

    I really wish the transbay towers get built, sure SF has a nice skyline planned out but most of those buildings are from the 70s and less its time SF steps up to bring in more HQs and offices and why not top it off with the tallest buildings west of the mississippi? Sure transamerica is known but internationally not quite as say sears tower or EST. And y stop the awesome construction, SOMA sure needs a change and the recent one is great! Plus transbay will perhaps serve the future CA HSR and caltrain so y not top off a grand central for SF with a magestic skyscraper? Sheesh u people and oh it blocks the bridge view BS, so what! Imagine if they put a viewing deck there and how much of the Bay Area you can see. Thats wat SF lacks a viewing deck. Sure u got Twin Peaks but you dont get instant 360 views now do you?

    thanks to those idiotic NIMBYs, south bay tower will most likely not be built. isnt south station going to be 695? as it said on some other site, "only in Boston do you have NIMBYs complaining that a 600 foot tower will interfere with air traffic when there is an 800 foot tower right next to it" 3.gif

    actually, SF is the Boston of the west coast, because Boston came first (first big city in america!, also we have first public beach, first public park, and a bunch of other firsts 3.gif)

    the only building i truly hate is that 80 south street, so many awesome buildings were proposed for over there and they come out with boxes on a stick! To me its a waste of money if that thing gets built, it doesent house enough people for it to be that tall! which is why i am infuiated at the proposal of "stick in the box"!

    Hey don't diss America's tallest! 3.gif I really hope the Chicago Spire gets built. Pretty cool. I also like the Crown Las Vegas and the Freedom tower...Rincon Hill looks awesome but I don't like that 80 south street. If there more than 10 residences it might have a point, but 10 units? What a waste. A total waste. However, like I said the new WTC looks awesome, all of it, so does the Trump Chicago and the New York Times tower, the Bank of America looks good and everything completed looks good. Yeah verything except 80 south street (cool design but waste of space and money)

    Looking at all these, we're becoming the large populous planet with large, confusing glass megascrapers everywhere from all those sci-fi movies. That's just my opinion though. Leonardo

    Bank of America Tower in New york is actually reffered to as one bryant park, all of the documentations i saw of it never said anything about Bank of America, so Im not sure if is a Bank of America Tower. But I do like what the building does to the environment. The building will actually cleanse 90% of all the air in Manhattan, generate its own electricity, and is made like the new hearst Building, out of recycled material, will collect rain water and such, which is why I love the tower completely, because it gives back to the environment, and thats no joke!

    They have broken ground. But for some reason, it's not considered under construction until the crane for the tower is up which should either be up today or tomorrow.

    Awesome! Even though I don't live there anymore, I've been waiting to see some pictures on what's been going on in Vegas. There are a whole bunch of new 'scrapers being built (including a nice 900+ tower downtown that I think will be residential). Vegas was never known for having a tall skyline...having the second tallest building in America (if it's approved by the FAA) would definitely help change that.

    <Edit>

    900+ ft. tower isn't being built.  Not enough demand.  I say they build some rewards...
