Ok. I can confidently say that the Narrows sucks, with all that fear gas lingering around.

. . . Cool! Gordon gets to drive the Batmobile! Lucky cop.

Oh yeah, the Axe and Hammer thing (You asked that already? Sorry. I must've missed it). I'm not so sure but I think Axe and Hammer is the name of the company/industry you work for in the game Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War. Either way, that "Axe and Hammer, precision instrument industry" title always pops up before every mission briefing.

PS: This CJ has officially reached two digits with the tenth page. WELCOME TO PAGE 10!

A giant-sized update! Very good, although you are probably going to be annoyed about the typo... and funnily enough the word is spelled correctly the next time you use it 2.gif

Finally, thanks for showing the region view with the city borders - good stuff.

The final confrontation has Batman fighting his old martial arts master, Ra’s al Ghul, on the midnight train. Meanwhile Jim Gordon is in the Batmobile, trying to find a way to stop the train from crashing into Wayne Tower...and poisoning all of Gotham City in the process.

    BubbaGump: The final confrontation indeed!

Zarp: Glad you liked the winter pictures. Took me quite a while to get the snow just right.

GreekMan: Well, no need to spoil the ending for everybody. 2.gif And as for getting more posts, well...once you've had a taste of the good life, there's no coming back. 2.gif I love getting comments.

    Godzillaman: Thank YOU!

Deever: I hope the Narrows sucks in a good way. As for the Axe and Hammer banner, since you're not sure what it is, you'd think you would use that space in your sig to advertise your CJ. 2.gif Thanks for opening the 10th page.

asturianu: Thank you, Cristian, and congrats on Lloyd's one year anniversary. Even I haven't been able to keep a CJ for that long!

Benedict: If you thought THAT was a giant update, this one will encompass five pages! Glad you like the region--it must be the fifth one I've showed you!

    jacqulina: Thank you.

OK, that was spectacular. Those shots of Gotham City at night with the el tracks heading to Wayne Tower (especially the shot in the 4th frame of the update) are amazing.

And by the way, when I said your CJ was inspiring, my current update in my own journal is imspired by you (and mtbrocket in Far Away and Long Ago). Thanks again for the inspiration!

wow this CJ is of epic scale! Quite a climax.

But what struck me most is how Ra's said, "Theatricality and deception" before the train exploded. The movie made his death quite vague, but I have a feeling you'll be bringing him back.38.gif

Indeed I will, although I'll stop if I'm a pill. Still waiting here for more, but wait too long and it'll be a bore! Leonardo

Heart-pounding! I like the thrill rides that your updates provide.

Don't worry. The Narrows sucks in a good way, I can assure you.

I may not know exactly what 'Axe and Hammer' is but I do love the game that it came from. I'd probably change it to a CJ advertisement in a few weeks anyway (or not. It depends).

Gordon shows the Dark Knight the new Bat-signal and tells him how the police force has finally pulled the task force trying to arrest him. The GCPD is also showing signs of recovering from corruption, but the city still has plenty of problems...including the appearance of a new criminal.

So ends Batman’s first year of fighting crime in Gotham City.

    topcliff:

Are you really gonna keep up this rhyming gimmick every update? 2.gif

Benedict: I like that fourth panel myself. By the way, I'm glad I inspired Port Sin in your CJ...along with mtbrocket of course. 40.gif

Godzillaman: Don't celebrate JUST yet. Year One ends tomorrow...

Zarp: Thank you. Simple as that. 40.gif

    BubbaGump: Shhh! Not so loud...38.gif

    topcliff: You're a pill. 3.gif

Mikeaut1: Thanks, you always give off a nice dose of positive energy.

    ichduersiees: YEAH

Deever: Heart-pounding? Really? *checks pulse* Hmm...

I bet you're thanking Glenni, and you should be a plenty! Good luck goes out to you Batman, as once you're done with Gotham, you can go disarm Iran! Leonardo

well, I missed a couple updates, but here they are. Amazing that you wrapped that whole story into just a few updates. You did manage to cut out a lot of the BS like the whole Katie Holmes thing...ugh. Nice work with that...

Can't wait to see what's next!

...although...*looks around*...you should make sure your pics are within 800x600...before a mod notices...

    who said that?

ilikehotdogsalot has a great tutorial on how to make mosaics out of your bigger pics, and with GIMP it's actually pretty easy. Let me know if you want me to show you how

After one major storyline finished, I just thought that I'd take the time to thank everyone who has supported this CJ so far: Those who comment every update, those who stop by every now an then, and even the lurkers who have never shown their presence, but make an impact on Gotham's view count.

But mostly I'd like to thank the handful of devoted readers, the helpers, and the stop-by-more-oftens.

Don't mind me. Just trying to get the update to the next page...*whistles*

frogface: Glad to hear you're eager, frogface.

Benedict: Thanks, I guess I am pretty prolific, updating every day and all. I wanted to update today though, but I would've liked to post it it on the next page. Hopefully, answering people's comments would be enough to catch just enough peoples' attention to get this CJ to the next page. Heh. I'm a perfectionist, I suppose.

csgcseri: You guessed right. It will definitely show the Joker. Batman won't make an appearance for a while, though...

Glenni: Thanks for the cars, Glenni. I really appreciate it. They look great. Now I hope I'm not asking for too much, but can you post some pics of the GMAX models? I'd like to see them up close and personal. 10.gif Thank you once again, you've been a big help.

    jrhnemo: No city-wide manhunt...for now.

El Burro: It WILL make Glenni nervous. I want it that way. 2.gif Stop by more often, El Burro!

topcliff: So after I end this CJ, I have to disarm Iran? *frantically keeps making more updates*

football_fever: Hey, man. Heard about the bridge disaster. Hope everyone's okay there.

Now to reply to your comment (CJ-life must go on). Glad you liked how I edited out Katie Holmes. 2.gif It was quite a task since she appeared in quite a few panels. Had to edit out a lot of scenes and try to redo them again with different pictures to keep the plot flowing smoothly. In my own humble opinion, I think it turned out okay.

As for the pictures, the first updates were actually seperate pictures but along the road I noticed that long mosaics (no breaks for seperate images) actually loads the page faster than dozens of different pictures. It's a silly rule in its own right (many people have mentioned it as well), but just to play things on the safe side, I'll cut the pictures up for the joy of the mods from now on. Hey, who said that? Another reason why I don't like cutting up the mosaics is that the pages don't always cut up to nice little pieces. They'll usually end up 800x1356 or some odd number so that it's quite difficult to cut it up to nice little 800x600 pieces. I'd really like to see hotdogs method on this.

MasterPlanMan: Thank you! That means a lot coming from a master CJer such as yourself.

    Next Update: Interlude: The Joker
