Police Commissioner Loeb issues a citywide manhunt to apprehend Batman.

Glenni: Glad you read everything, Glenni. I anticipated you would. Well, actually I had no clue, but thanks for commenting anyway. 3.gif

simoplis_mayor: Search "Regal" on the STEX

    Flying_Scarecrow: Indeed he does.

csgcseri: So do I, but they're a hassle to make.

suplado!: Thanks suplado! Haven't commented in a while, have you? Think I wouldn't notice?!

homeandaway: Hey, home. Where have you been?

jrhnemo: Yeah, it's a turning point in his career.

ilikehotdogsalot: "Already on page 7," look who's talking. WORLD has two pages devoted to comments! As for the Maxis people being Batman fans, I had that suspicion before, actually. But it's mostly like just a set of organized coincidences. Glad you think this is the...*raises voice*...BEST STORY CJ EVER! /selfplug

Godzillaman: I thought you said you liked the dorks. God, I need some sleep.

Excellent! A short update, but very informative. This is probably a major plot point.

Turn point is coming up in the story. Nice update! And it's typical. When the police gets help from a "civil", the police confirms him/her a criminal.

Damn the police going after Batman, if they had done their job in the first place then Batman wouldn't need to come along to kick criminal arse! oh well an interesting twist! 3.gif

Yeah, like hotdogs said, those corrupts actually remember some of the bad cops here in Rio de Janeiro.. Thing is that police corruption is going down with the new punishment politics adopted by our state government, I'm pretty sure things will get better around here.

And will gotham? another pretty nice update, even tho its short.

    edit: not homeandaway >_<

Carmine Falcone threatens Dr. Jonathan Crane with handing over knowledge of his fear experiments to the authorities. However, the Scarecrow has a different idea on his mind.

    BubbaGump:

Short, but sweet I always say.

football_fever: Well your opinion doesn't count in this CJ. 3.gif

csgcseri: Yeah, people never know when someone is trying to help them.

frogface: Well, of course! If they were doing their job in the first place...But what you do if an unknown vigilante started severely injuring people in the city?

Benedict: More insane SC4 pics after this update...

Zarp: I think you mean ilikehotdogsalot. As for police/government corruption in Rio, I've heard about it as well, but it's not something uncommon. It happens in all parts of the world everyday, and that's the sad part. People are given a high rank of power and they abuse it. However, you mentioned that it's getting better there and you wonder what'll happen with Gotham's police system. Well, stick around and see...

    Hi, (Special)Eddie,

Yeah, the SC4 Police Headquarters--one of the few game buildings that had long stairs on the lot and looked as if it sat upon a rise.  Lucky you snagged the wallpaper for the 3D look.  The complex looks pretty unified, dignified, justified, but inside--it is rotten to the core.  26.gif

I like the washed out look you have for the maniacally detailed harbor, nice focus on the garbage docks, and you were going for ugly, right?  So Krio's post was yet another compliment.  I think we should have him checked out... 22.gif

The first official apppearance of the Caped Crusader, BIFF, BAM, POW, WUMP, SKI--skish, tunk??  I guess I had forgotten some of the lesser known sound effects.  Yeah, nobody who's really cool reads the CJ newspapers...(sneakily reads it, mutters) ...mystifying persona, Batarangs...whaa...hmmm, yeah, nobody reads those things.

Citywide Manhunt, meh, they will never catch the Batman.  And yes, I Iove your all-SC4-pic updates as well, wouldn't mind seeing another one.  But the story's good, too.  Tell on, and thanks for your comments.  It seems the least a person can do to check out and express some sentiment for your efforts.

See you in the funny papers.  21.gif

The SC4 pics blend with the rest of it so well I can hardly notice them.

And I predict someday...SOMEDAY...you'll make Gordon commissioner...

Creepy. If it were up to me, the Doc should be the one locked up in the asylum.

Again, the combination of SC4 shots and comic images is millimeter away from flawless.

    The Narrows

Built on a swampy island off the coast of Gotham City, the Narrows was originally built as a massive public housing program to ease poverty in the inner city. However, the island eventually became overcrowded and polluted, and soon enough, the Narrows had established itself as the city’s worst slum. Built on the same island, but obviously some distance away, is the mental institution Arkham Asylum. Government law prevents the Narrows from expanding to close to Arkham, so only half of the island is occupied, while the asylum takes up a vast area of wooden estate.

Note: This will be one of the few times where the SC4 location looks nothing like the scenes from the movie/comics. Building limitations will do that to you. Frogface's slums might've done the trick but they're hell to grow.

Benedict: Grim and unsavory coming right up.

jrhnemo: Yeah, he's probably like that.

Godzillaman: With the mask...and the gas. Hehe. Kinda rhymes. Wait, no--not really.

    GreekMan: Hopefully, not TOO scary...

    TheSixCents: I accept your apology.

Livin in Sim: Yep. The police headquarters is rotten to the core...but the building looks nice! And that's all that matters right?

Glad you like the harbor, too. Don't mind Krio's comment. I don't know why everyone makes a big deal over them. It's harsh, it's honest. Sure, it goes too far sometimes, but loads better than the "cant wait to see more" junk other users feed to new CJers. There's no room for improvement if you're spoonfed every day of your life.

As for the skish-tunk phenomenons you'll be seeing some more bizzare sound effects later on. Hehe...I actually try to make up some of my own by saying it out-loud. It adds to the realism of everything--or the weirdness of me.

Will they catch the Batman? Time will only tell.

SaltandVinegar: Holey Salt and Vinegar! You know...holey? Aw, forget it.

football_fever: "predictions" NOW we're getting somewhere. 2.gif I try to blend in the SC4 pics as much as I can, too. I want the focus to be on the story. I want people to go--wow! I didn't even notice it there! Sometimes I don't either...

    crazyyaya: Thank you, yaya.

csgcseri: Indeed he won't. Thanks for all the comments. You are becoming quite the frequenter.

    Peng74: Thanks, Peng.

Deever: I agree. Maybe ONE day he'll get locked up in the asylum. In the meantime, I'll have to overcome that millimeter to get to Flawless

And for those interested in seeing the location of the Narrows in the Region Map, it's the triangular island half covered with buildings, and the other half with forest. It should be pretty identifiable.
