Nice update. Can't wait for City Hall.

One question: Did you read Arkham Asylum: A Serious House on Serious Earth? (I did)

As for the police blimps, one is actually used in Caracas, Venezuela, and zeppelins were an added security measure during during the '96 Atlanta Olympics. Interesting fact.quote>
.

Interesting fact indeed. Thanks for sharing.

As for the update, it was hilarious (in a good way)! The change of mood from witty to dead serious was amusing.

The landscape of the city is changing. The new face of Gotham City politics is an honest one, though there are some wrinkles to be ironed out. Politicians with mob relations have been driven out in a massive scandal, while the city's corrupt cops are being systematically replaced. Though corruption is slowly being driven out of the city, even the honest ones have trouble trusting the mysterious vigilante, Batman.

csgcseri: Yeah I've read Serious House. Very weird book, but good in its own unique way. I particulary liked how the book was painted. It's just a good old-fashioned Batman horror story.

    jrhnemo: Thanks, J.

Deever: A quick search on Wikipedia does wonders. Heh. 3.gif And I guess the sudden change of moods in the updates can be amusing. 2.gif

Curious George: THANKS! YOU ARE VERY SPECIAL.

    Mayor Hamilton Hill:

Elected after the great scandal, in which dozens of politicians with mob relations were driven out of office (including the former mayor), Hamilton Hill is a clean-cut politician. He is against corruption, but doesn't approve of Batman either.

    Harvey Bullock

Though his motives are questionable and he is often suspended for his actions, Harvey Bullock is a good cop. He may not look the part (often unshaven and poorly dressed), but Bullock is passionate about enforcing the law. He is, however, distrustful of the Batman, and gets in frequent arguments with Gordon concerning Batman's vigilante motives. Bullock leaps at every opportunity to apprehend Gotham's Dark Knight.

Interesting bios. Good thing they gave that corruption the heave-hos! I feel for the guys who's unshaven and poorly dressed, for who'd want to fight crime in their very bestest best? Leonardo

Amazing work on the region surrounding the city hall, especially the small park just in front of it.

Ah, the meinhosen style of city hall-building. My favorite. Looks very political--nice choice of BATs.

Great city hall! I see a number of government buildings nearby. They're all great. Very Washington DCish.

Nice introduction of the those two personalities. Though they both disapprove of Batman, they're on the good side.

Nice City Hall. Isn't Hamilton Hill a corrupt politician either? At least as I know, he's Rupert Thorne's puppet.

With the mayor's authorization, the police once again wage war on  Gotham's masked vigilante. Meanwhile, Batman investigates Phoenix Pharmaceutcals in an attempt to clear his name. The police have something else in mind, however.

    ilikehotdogsalot: Thanks, hotdog.

    topcliff: Thanks for the comment.

Benedict: Glad you liked the update and my own way of responding to comments. 2.gif

    jacqulina: Gracias, por favor.

sunrise: Thanks, sunrise. I always like how you point out the details in my updates.

BubbaGump: Yep. Ralston had a major impact on my city-hall building skills.

englishmonkey: Well there are dozens of short stories so just pick one and run with it. You don't have to read the entire CJ

    Godzillaman: Thanks a lot!

Greekman: Many thanks. I appreciate the comment.

jrhnemo: Heh. Because they're different styles all together. Bullock's a much more seedy character in the comics.

Deever: I guess it does look a bit like DC, but its based on Meinhosen's Ralston and LA's city hall district most. Glad you liked the character profiles too.

csgcseri: Hehe. Reading up on Wikipedia have you? He may be corrupt in the comics, but he wasn't in the animated series.

The story's progressing quite nicely and the similarities in cars and buildings are great as always.

I hate that Bullock. I think he's full of it. I like his car, but he himself is sub-par. Leonardo

Wow! The two cars are so similar! How fortunate can you get?

Yeesh. What's Bullock's beef with Batman? I guess he's just a 'by the book' type of person. He fails to see the big picture though.

I used to watch Batman: TAS every day after school. I love it.

On another note, in Bullock you have a great villain that is still good, which is the best kind. Being able to find characters that are both good and bad in very similar ways is a gem in story telling...believe me...I've had to invent them all my own for CC. I know this stuff is based somewhat on the existing batman stories, but I also know that you've added your own Eddieness (for lack of a better term) to the storylines. You've got good stuff going so far...keep it up.

Also, sorry I haven't replied in awhile, I try to reply only when I have something useful to say...like now.

Things heat up (literally) when the police corner Batman at Phoenix Pharmaceuticals.

Benedict: Yeah, sometimes story can prevail over art (though I like the TAS style myself). There's a lot of good storylines with this style.

    BubbaGump: Thanks!

topcliff: Yeah, Bullock's pretty nasty...for now.

Brad-MacD: Thanks, Brad. We may have our disagreement in music, but in the CJ section--it's all good.

    jrhnemo: Thanks for the comment.

    Addison.Wesley: Thanks, Addison. Wesley.

Deever: I got lucky with the cars this time. They can get pretty tricky later on (especially with some 30s limos). And yes, you are spot-on with the "by-the-book" description.

football_fever: Yeah, TAS after school was the good ole days. Of course, I used to live in the Philippines so it showed in the evening (8-ish). Thing is, TAS didn't interest me until I got older (hey! DVD box sets!), and I really started to realize how mature the storylines are.

Glad you liked my touch of Eddieness to the characters/story. I want to stay true to the form, but not so true that's it's just downright plagiarism. Big no-no. However, there are just some moments of dialogue I would never change, and I'll point those out in the future.

Don't worry about keeping up with replies. It's no big deal.

    csgcseri: Thanks.
