Donning the mask and persona as “the Batman” for the first time, Bruce Wayne questions Jim Gordon about Mafia leader Carmine Falcone, and establishes an uneasy alliance with the former Chicago officer.

BubbaGump: Glad you like the update and the transportation map.

Benedict: Well if the cops weren't corrupt in the first place, there would be no need for a Batman. It's going to be a recurring, major theme in this CJ.

GreekMan: Well, we can't know everything in life. As for the "damn" cops, Batman's precence will soon have an effect on the corrupt.

Deever: Ha. The ultimate patrol car, all right. Hang in there, Gordon will. He was probably my favorite character in Batman Begins (he was exactly like the comics). I love Gary Oldman.

    interpol12: Thanks, interpol.

AceofSpades: You and me both--but I already know what's coming next!

deimo: Good freakin' night to you too. 2.gif

    csgcseri: Thank you, csgcseri.

jrhnemo: Yeah, the character profiles help the reader understand and relate to the characters more. The problem with SC4 CJ's is that they never show the characters (except a select few). I hope to change that.

Nice update. I always liked stories about corruption. Especially about crooked cops. Gotham is the place, where the worst people are gathered (crooked politican, bad cop, mob with high power) from the world. This city gathers the waste of society. Nice 3D wiew of the police building.

Loving the rain effects. Nice introduction to Gordon as well, refusing that drug shipment offer. You can even see the money that guy Flass is offering. The story's picking the pace also. Looks like it's setting up for a confrontation with the untouchable mob boss!

Let's get to answering your questions/comments.

jacqulina: I'm fine, thanks for asking. However, the comic book illustrations belong to their rightful artists (I credited them earlier on).

Benedict: Maybe Maxis did create SC4 with my CJ in mind...6.gif

csgcseri: Who doesn't like stories about corruption? They can always teach us a lesson about ourselves now and then. I really liked your what you said in your comment too:

The city gathers the waste of society" quote>

That's a perfect description. The 3D police station is actually a Simcity wallpaper on the website. I don't know if it's there anymore--simcity.com is devoted to SCS now.

football_fever: Well go watch the movie again! It deserves multiple screenings. Glad you like the police station, too. SC4: Built With Me in Mind. 3.gif Ego...growing...must...stop. 2.gif

BubbaGump: Thanks, BG. We'll be seeing the crime boss soon enough...

Looking as amazing as ever Eddie. Nice use of the police station. Definetly looking forward to seeing what you've done in the dock area. 4.gif

The buildings look very similar, almost completely identical! You lucky little. . . Nice 3D version of the PD, BTW.

So this is Gordon's first encounter with the Batman. . . well, not quite the Batman yet but it's the same guy behind the mask.

In the early 1900’s, the Docks were the lifeblood of Gotham City. Goods went in and out of town through the harbor, and it had a major role in establishing the city as a center of trade and commerce. However, through the years, the Port of Gotham has since decayed into the center of a massive Eastern seaboard drug and black market ring.

Note: Special thanks to Shadow_Assassin the table idea.

Peng74: Thanks, Peng. You'll be seeing the dock area in just a few scrolls...

simopolis_mayor: Thanks, but your sig is pretty ironic, as you don't capitalize your sentences either. 2.gif I for one, am not a fan of leet speak either.

Deever: Yep. It's not QUITE Batman yet. See, he even refers to himself as only "the Bat." Not quite, but we're getting there!

    Carmine Falcone

They call him “The Roman.” He’s the untouchable Mafia boss of Gotham—Carmine Falcone. With two-thirds of the city bought and paid for, Falcone has the mayor, police commissioner, and the D.A. under his influence. He also controls Gotham City’s drug empire and oversees the goings-on in the Docks.

The police updates were boring and also ugly, though Maxis station resembles the "real" one much. The harbour is good, though there should me more warehouses than industry and those yellowish parts between highways are ugly.

Batman’s first adventure has him intercepting Falcone’s massive drug importing scheme, bringing the mob boss into custody at last.

Benedict: That's pretty high praise, Benedict. Thank you.

BubbaGump: Well emilin does a pretty good job...

    SockoJr53: Gracias, Socko.

Krio: I can see where you're coming from, thinking the police updates were boring. Nothing really happens there, but it helps establish the characters. This update should have some more action. I was hoping no one would notice the yellow highway grass either, but nothing escapes the Krio! 11.gif

FissileBread: Thanks. I happen to fell the same way about your Amsterdam CJ

csgcseri: Glad you think it's creepy. That's the effect I'm going for.

Now, I'm not much of a fan for newspapers in CJs (no one reads them anyway), but I decided to include one for this update. The problem I have with newspapers is that no one is willing to read long blocks of text on the internet. That being said, you don't have to read this, but I thought it looks nice.

I also think that not enough CJ'ers use real newspapers for inspiration and it loses the believability factor. I looked at various copies of the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal to come up with this paper. Being in a journalism class in high school works wonders as well. 2.gif

I read all the newspaper, as well as everything you wrote on previous updates! =P

And what can I say about that all? Amazing? Great? Awesome?

Your CJ is awesome, one of the bests so far, but only one thing is missing: more SimCity. Try including more SimCity stuff/images into the comics.

Despite that, it is wonderful. Keep up the good work.

    Comments...must...respond to!

frogface: Well thanks for reading it, froggy.

gshmails: Thanks, shmails. Glad you like it.

Benedict: Ha! I can read minds. This confirms my theories that no one reads newspapers.

    GreekMan: Yeaah!!! GREEKMAAN!!!!

Zarp: You can say "amazing"...but "great" works too. So does "awesome." And yes, you've brought up an important point. There should be more SC4 in the comics (I try to put as much in there as I can). But that's what the Settings updates are for. That's where a majority of the SC4 pics will be showcased.

    Starmanw40: Thanks!
