Finally, completed my first house. Hope you like it.  I didn't emphazise on Night Windows, but used self-illuminating rooms. It looks really good in the game and wanted to show it first before I uploaded. Thanks to SimFox again for the direction on the board to the links I needed to get my lights to work. I made a garage to match and will be finishing that up tonight, but would like to release them together.

wuoa....... that house looks beautiful.... the lot size will be 1x1, right? bt, if u add garage.... maybe the lot will be larger....

maybe you want to make it in to type?(1x1, or larger.....)

I think I'll release it as a prop, so you can decorate your own yard. I also have a link to an awesome texture software, totally free, it's how I made the green brick and wood.

i love it but its no good as a prop to me i would need it when you release it as a lot or bat,im no good at batting or lotting lol i just love looking at other peoples work its wonderfull

From what I can tell in the thumbnail, that looks like the typical house design you would see in the midwest. If you just released it as a BAT without texture, or color this would be interesting to play around with, but thats just me. Some people can't handle gmax, I myself feel novice at it. Well, I do have to admit that spiral did have some good stuff. This should really be referenced further.

Holy schnikes, I was expecting to see a badly textured newbie BAT, and what do I see? Great job so far!

Btw, there's no need to turn the house into a prop to enable people to do what they want with it. Making it a prop has several disadvantages: You need an invisible dummy building to mod the house, you won't see an appropriately sized scaffold, and the house won't highlight on hovering the mouse cursor over it like a proper building would.

Thanks so much again. I did alot of reading of the tutorials here for help. And bought the gmax handbook which is very helpful too. I want to learn more about Blender to model, but that thing is so hard to set up, especially with attaching folder to the right places. I'm too comfortable with gmax at this time.

I will make this a residential, I see your views.  The garage I would assume will be ok as a prop? And I find it hard to decide which type of residential, I think of it as high residential (4$$$). Any help is greatly appreciated.  I just need one more night to make sure everything is in place before uploading. Would love to hang out, but get up quite early for work. Glad you like it.  Anyone try the Spiral Graphics yet?? I'll check back tomorrow.

hehe, sorry. But you can help me now! I tried to make this BAT a residential, but when it shows up in the game it doesn't look like what I made, no other props show up with it. I made it a Landmark and ploppable, it's only one house. I'm ready for upload. If you want you can reassign it in your own plugin manager. It will be up today after question answered below.

Sorry it took so long for me to respond, my computer has to go have a check-up. No virus, but I think it's the processor or my video card. It's buzzing inside and stops when I save something or open files, but starts again shortly after. So I reformatted the computer (I really needed to), we were using this for our business, but now relocated and bought another system for work, that's why I reformatted. Now the only progam I have in here in SimCity (YEA!!), which is great, but it's still buzzing inside. And sometimes when I hit buttons with the mouse, I have to hit it a few times before it moves (hard to explain, hope you get the idea). So, after I upload, I will have to take her in, bummer.

Question for moderators of STEX: once I upload, will it matter if my computer is off, the upload still stays in the STEX without my computer?? Once I get a reply to this, I will upload the file. Thanks for help in advance and patience.

I don't understand this paragraph. Could you clarify? Maybe you have a picture to show us what you mean?

As for the release, once uploaded to the STEX, it's stored on the STEX server and will stay there, regardless of what you do with your PC.

However, I wouldn't upload before the problem you mentioned is solved and everything is 100% the way you intended it to be. All problems can be solved, it may only require some help from others (that's what we're here for, that's the purpose of this forum) and some patience - that would be your part.
