I have. I think that having just a tiny amount of dirty industry at all does that now. As soon as I got rid of my DI my environment rating climbed a bit.

Me too, my environment rating used to be about 85% green, but it's solid red since installing RH. My dirty industry tax has been 20% for about 100 years, so I really don't have any left in my city. My air pollution is pretty low, so I think the problem might be that I have no water treatment plant. Another $350 a month, sigh... 1.gif

Same here.

But since I haven't discovered any negative effects coming from, I concentrate more on the other things that go wrong in Rush Hour 1.gif

Plant God Mode trees!  God Mode trees!  [CTRL] + [sHIFT] + [ALT] + click on God Mode icon will give you the pre-city tools again.

Any of you installed any of the clean air park lots, just wondering if they work still with rush. As i have the same problem too.

Hmm, I have a residential city, with a little commercial and a couple of farms absolutely no ID or IM.  I kept getting the "There's something in the air..." message but my air pollution was extremely low (4 or 5).  I'll have to look into this.

Hi there!

I have two cities that I can comment on.

The first I didn't place any trees and it started out completely red and rose slowly as I grew my city (it's only 3k now) and now the bar is 3/4 green. I still have all my dirty industry, coal plant, etc. So maybe it's just the parks and such.

The second city, I tried to make it an environmently friendly city (Natural Gas power plant, streets instead of roads--except to work--almost no dirty industry.) For jobs they travel to the first city and I have farms and a little commercial. Oh and I planted TONS of trees (a lot of them turned into shrubs) in God Mode. This city's environmental bar started green and is still green.

So, in conclusion, I think it's the ratio to trees and/or parks.

There has to be a glitch.

My original city had been close to a full green bar. After installing RH it was 100% red so something has drastically changed. I have low air polution low water polution with water treatment systems. My new city is the same way. The map is half trees and still 100% red bar. If I plant some tree's I can sometimes get it to 20% green and then it starts to slip again.

The frustrating thing is the environmental advisor is praising me on the low polution yet my rating sucks. So I think they inadvertently have a glitch in the game regarding that now.

I have this too. My other ratings are all fine, and I checked the environmental advisor, but she doesn't say anything. I have dirty industry in one corner of the map, but otherwise limited pollution and have tons of parks.

Sorry, This is no bug.
Mayor rating used to be much higher with SC4. However with RH U-drive-it rewarding you with money and increased mayor rating, you would have to start with a low rating to have the incentive to improve it by mission success. Therefor all ratings are lower in the beginning and I guess the environment rating depends on the mayor having done something positive like putting in parks and recreation facilities. Decreasing pollution from industry and roads will also help.
Regards
Tom

I had a city that was also about 80% green before I installed RH, then as soon as I installed it and played, the environment bar became all red. I've added new parks, planted trees, added a new water treatment plant, and have been developing more high tech and manufacturing industry, but the bar never changes. What I don't get is why it turned red after installing RH when it was so green before, especially since my city was way dirtier before too.

There seems to be a pollution calculation bug... In all my cities, pollution (only in the graphs) has multiplied approximately by ten since I got rush hour, however on the map view it's still the same.. So, perhaps it's indeed a bug...

About u-drive-it, the mayor rating effects are temporary. They last one year, at most.

The Clean air parks I have tested do not work in rush hour if you place them again, if they were there before I have seen that they do work. I have made a mod for ridding the city of pollution for Rush hour if you want it let me know.

1. Please don't revive old threads like this. It's against the rules.

2. Please don't add Me Too posts. That is also against the rules.

Look for the CSX Woodlands Collection on the STEX as well as the CSX Parklands and CSX Coastal Forests ... these three collection were developed after RH to give you a better grip on the GREEN issues ... all three collection have some good stuff under the hood but they also come at a price. So if you are a gamer, this will be nice to use.
