We all know that Spiderman is da best because he actually earned his powers, his movie is better than everyone else, and of course, he's a spider.

Batman - Bought his powers with money.

Superman - Not even a human.

X-Men - Totally unbelievable.

Wonder Woman - Huh?

Hulk - Result of Nuclear Meltdown

Etc.

But, what superhero really needs a good movie?

X-Men and Batman have allready got good movies, Superman and Hulk also have had their movies and Iron Man's movie is in production like Hulk 2.

I vote Thor or Avengers (Thor vs. Loki of course and Avengers vs. Baron Zemo's Masters of Evil)

Well, x-men kinda died for some reason, and I thought they were pretty good. They don't really need a movie, they just need another tv season.

Technically not, they're just branching out.. they're now making a Wolverine and a Magneto movie.

As for the ones listed in the poll, the following have been made or are in production.

Superman

Batman

X-Men

Captain America (or so I heard..)

Hulk

Iron Man

Wonder Woman (or so I heard..)

Personally, I'd be really quite happy with more Fantastic Four movies.. best Marvel superhero team ever. 3.gif

I also like those FF movies, but Dr. Doom in FF1 was lame with his superpower and metal skin. And there is a modern Cap movie, made in 1991 if I remember right. Red Skull was main villain and Cap took many hits and was weak. They made it that studio didn't lose the rights for the movie.

Actually, I think it will be Underdog, who spends his time as shoe-shine-boy.  He loves Sweet Polly Pureheart, and saves the world from the villains who would like to infest her ...

Or then it could be Sterling Quality who took the fall for his girl friendeNelly Neverbeenhad when she was framed by that dastardly villain Snively Whiplash for stealing the corks at the vinegar works.

Or it could be Sargent Renfrew of the R.C.M.P. and his wonder dog, Cuddles.

How about the post-apocalyptic, sci-fi, sword-sorcery, and special-effects extravaganza that could be made from a live action Thundarr the Barbarian?

Perfect '80s flashback...Conan mixed with Star Wars, He-Man, Mad Max, and Saturday morning cartoons.

The year: 1994. From out of space comes a runaway planet, hurtling between the Earth and the Moon, unleashing cosmic destruction! Man's civilization is cast in ruin!

Two thousand years later, Earth is reborn...

A strange new world rises from the old: a world of savagery, super science, and sorcery. But one man bursts his bonds to fight for justice! With his companions Ookla the Mok and Princess Ariel, he pits his strength, his courage, and his fabulous Sunsword against the forces of evil.

He is Thundarr, the Barbarian!

Ah, the memories...

Thundar might be a good live action one.

to bad they would pick Vin Desil or Da Rock to play him.

Still Green Lantern would be in credible, all his powers would be CG anyway so why not?

hong kong phooey?  Isn't that something you fine on a Chinese buffet?

Now Thundarr has some serious possibilities.  Maybe pushing the Norse analog further, how about Sigfried and the Rhine Maidens?  Just a little further down the coast to Burgundy.

Agreed.

However, I'm in a state of confusion, daddyo. How did Spider-man "earn" his powers? He got bitten by a damn spider. Ooooh.

And what are you talking about "Batman bought his powers." He took a vow of poverty when he was training around the world. And X-Men unbelievable? Maybe not realistic, but the themes of alienation and xenophobia (hence the X) are definetely present in today's society.

And as much as I like comics, I think the industry is dishing out too many superhero adaptations. It was fun for the first few years, but so was American Idol.

They are making a movie for that, but it looks exceptionally sucky.  It isn't even animated, for goodness sakes!

No, Sergeant Renfrew is an invention of Second City, a comedy house in downtown Toronto.

I meant Sterling Quality( Whoever that is)

Sounds  a lot like Dudley Do Right since Snivley Whiplash was his enemy as well.

Second City ( Like in SCTV? with John Candy,Eugene Levy and Rick Moranis?)

That was some great TV there.

No, I couldn't remember the name of the villain, so I stick in Snively.  There guys are all alike.  Sterling and Nelly are part of the melodrama "Who Stole the Corks at the Vinegar Works" formerly playing at the restaurant at Riata Pass outside of Phoenix, AZ.

However, how about Captain Iqaluit?  Freezes every evil doer in his tracks.
