    Autumn in Redrock Ridge

Fall has come to Redrock Ridge, and the farmers are busy harvesting their crops for the winter.
Word has it that this winter will be the coldest and wettest on record.

    harvest35az.jpg

Farmer Johnson is in such a hurry to beat the weather that he has hired help, so he can harvest his crops before winter sets in.

    harvest21xz.jpg

While the farmers are out harvestin their crops, the photographers are out taking as many pictures as they can before the wonderful colors of fall disappear for another year.

The small water fall leading into the lower lake is especially beautiful in Fall.

The stream that feeds the Upper Redrock Lake, cruves in and out of the trees.

The trees of the lower lake seem to tower over the water.

    Yay, Page 3!35.gif

Aleking, thanks.  I know how you feel.  I still feel that way.  And what's worse, is that it is written in the Hot Key page in the Handbook.46.gif

Jacqulina, thank you.  I try to be as detailed as I can.

I have a question for anyone, but how do I get the Christmas Easter Egg to work?  I tried setting my date on my computer to Christmas and played the game, but it didn't show up.  Am I doing something wrong?  Or perhaps its CycleDogg's Modd?  I'm just wondering...

Kwakelaar, thank you.  I've been really happy with this new Terrain modd that came out and its made building this rural town even more fun.

Dhoppeii, I agree.  I think its adds a very nice sense of realism to this game.  I'm just happy to have someone like PEG who is talented and makes such fine BAT's and Mods.

GaryGB, thank you for your nice comments.

Great updates.  The region is beautiful.  Can't wait to see how you develop it.  Also glad to see that you could recreate Redrock Ridge close to the original.  Keep up the good work.

    Hey Z,

Just read the whole thing! It's a very beautiful CJ, simple, peaceful and no nonsense! 16.gif
The rural feeling is there, the use of the the ponds and streams is very well done. 3.gif
One detail I like very much is the little Observatory! Nice touch! 44.gif

Up until now Dhoppeii and you are doing the best rural CJ I've seen so far!

    Keep it up! 44.gif44.gif

BTW Your train station is great looking, is it a japanese BAT?

Hey Z, its amazing and admirable how much effort you're putting into this CJ! I love the rural look, those seasonal trees, and the way CycleDogg's terrain mod has really brought a new feel to Enoch.

    Keep up the great work!

Prophet42, thank you.  I hope that my updates won't disappoint you.2.gif

Darmok, I'm really honored to have you say such nice comments.  Especially after viewing your CJ, which is amazing!  Most of the reason I used the Observatory is that there is one on the top of a mountain near where I live, and I really like the idea. *g*

Johnnyman7, thanks.  I glad that you enjoy it!

Will_Silver, thanks.  I do find that CycleDogg's Terrain Mod, and many of PEG's projects to look fantastic when put together.  I can't wait to see what they come out with next.

    UPDATE TIME!!!

New zoning has been approved for farms.  Near the Redrock Hallow, new farms have been established.  Mostly flower farms, as the soil is full of nuitrients that the flower need to grow, and aren't found anywhere else in Redrock Ridge. (White is White Roses, Red is Red Roses and the Pink/White are Carnations)

    fallflowers5wm.jpg

Two seperate Red Rose Farms were planted next to each other.  A father and his son own the two Farms and work together to sell their flowers to local florists and at the farmer's market on their own.

Thank you all for your kind comments.  I am still wondering how I get the Christmas Easter Egg to work.  Do I set my computer's clock to December 25, or is it something else?  Thanks in advance.

Ah, I seem to have missed several updates here! I don't have anything specific to say, just that it looks just very stunning.

Okay, okay... you dragged it out of me... I'll stay true to my commenting style and make some specific observations. The waterfall was nothing short of amazing, and all the flower farms next to each other look really pretty. Sometimes those bright colors can be a bit off-putting, but in this case you've made it look just right!

Fredval, thanks.  I love Aldebaran, and I'm glad that you like my CJ.

oroen, thanks.  I was actually rather surprised when the flower farms sprang up.  It was unexpected, but a nice surprise.

Andrew, thanks.  I really can't say how much I love PEG's Ponds and River kits.

Thanks, Superstar, for your nice comments.  I'm glad it makes you feel that way. 5.gif

These next pictures are dedicated to SimGoober, the creator of these magnificiant irrigation canals!

FARR(Farmers Association of Redrock Ridge) has finally made enough money, with the growing economy of Enoch, to build their own Headquarters, among other buildings. (Thanks to BSC, CSX and SimGoober for these BAT's).

And, as per Dhoppeii's request, a larger picture of the Rose Farms.

(and the Z was serious done accidentally.  I didn't even notice it until the farms had been built.)

A new community has been founded.  Due to the dislike of development in Redrock Ridge, several residents have moved away, and started their own town, North Ridge.  Just on the other side of Redrock Ridge, itself, sits their small, but growing town.  Already nearing 5,000 residents they have built their own extention to the University of Enoch(UE).  The small College sits across the street from a Blockbuster and Wendy's.(which is actually quite funny because I used to work at a Blockbuster, and there is a Wendy's across the street from it. hehe).  Anywho, students frequent Wendy's between lunches and Blockbuster during the weekends for a relaxing time watching movies or play video games.

    nrcollege7gm.jpg

The students of the UE Extention have a variety of housing options.  However, most students prefer to share small townhouses, perfect for several roommates to reside.

    nrrow5an.jpg

After a few years, the bad feelings between those of Redrock Ridge and North Ridge settled to a low rivalry between local high schools.  In order to provide better transportaion and quick commute times between North Ridge and Redrock Ridge, the road leading to the Obeservatory was extended down the other side of the Ridge.

As a little niffty note to go along with the West Enoch Pictures.  The Pictures, with the hotel, and the island; The Island, I actually did combining PEG's Pond and Stream Kits.  They work out really well to make some awesome islands in the ponds.  Just thought that might come in a little handy...maybe.2.gif

There's a Blockbuster right across the street from a Wendy's near where I'm living right now. It must be a trend...

This CJ is quickly becoming one of my favorites. There's a great blend of rural landscape, single family housing, and retail commercial that I would expect to see in many real life places. The first picture in the West Enoch preview has many details to make it look so much like a real suburban commercial area, and the row of townhouses came out really nicely.

I also admire your use of both SG's irrigation canals and PEG's pond and stream kit, mainly because I have not yet been able to master them myself.

oroen, thanks.  It must be a trend.  I'm glad that you like this CJ so much.  I would have to say that all the credit for it goes to those who make such great BAT's.  I can only imagine what my cities wood look like if I hadn't any BAT's...Can we say, Wren Insurance...? hehe2.gif

Excellent use of Simgoober's irrigation canals. I never think about it but it's really cool in your rural environment...

    Keep up the great work.
