Welcome everyone to my new CJ.  After a few months of lurking, after a bad incident with my Dimmsdale map, I have returned with a new CJ, Enoch!  The map is a modified version of Tign's Map, Monica.  I resized the map, making is smaller, as my computer is a little on the geriatric side.  Anywho, here is the picture of the region.

I am going to warn everyone, I'm not much for a good story, but hopefully I'll have come good pictures for everyone.2.gif

Thanks for your nice comments.  I hope I don't let any of you down. *g*  Anyways, I will have an update all ready and posted later this afternoon.  I've been messing around with some new mods, and removing some old ones.46.gif  After I eat some lunch....

Nestled among the ridge in Western Enoch, sits Redrock Ridge.  A small rural farming community.  The Mayor of Redrock, Mr. McDouglas, wasted no time once the town was founded.  After years of struggle, now the residents of Redrock Ridge, have a town all their own.  Mayor McDouglas, aka Old McDouglas, opened  a new association within Redrock Ridge.  The Farmer's Association of Redrock Ridges(FARR).

About the sametime, a prominant member of Redrock Ridge, Ronald Railson, founded the Redrock Ridge Railroad Company(RRRC).  The RRRC builds and maintains all the railways within Redrock Ridge.

    rrr8az.jpg

Once the town had a sturdy economy, Mayor McDouglas, appointed Mr. Appleton, as Supter Attendant of Redrock Ridge School District.  A new school was built with an accompanying baseball and soccer field.

    rrsd3ci.jpg

Not only are the residents of Redrock interested in the area, but so are some major retail companies.  A few large companies have been approved to build within Redrock Ridge.

    rrdowntown7pr.jpg

Even McDonald's has been approved by the city councel to build on main street.  A Grand Opening was held, and the students of the local schools were invited.

The President of Enoch visited the small farming community of Redrock Ridge to announce a new Wildlife Preserve, for a local herd of mustangs.  The Redrock Ridge Animal Preserve(RRAP) was officially opened a few weeks later.

I've been having a couple small problems, that I've noticed while building this city.  One, I can't seem to get Peg's River lots to close.  Basically, I'll build a river, but I get stuck everytime I try to make the river, or lake, turn.  I don't know if it's just me, or what.  Two, I downloaded Marrast's nifty embankment BAT, and can't seem to find it anywhere, and it is in my plugin folder...42.gif

Thanks, ILL, for your comments.  I was hoping for an organic feel.  I grew up in a very rural area in Wyoming...well, the whole state is rural, really.  Anywho, I usually build a downtown first, then expand to a rural area.  However, this time I wanted to go backwards from what I usually do and build the rural area first and then condense into a downtown.  Hopefully, this whole map will be mostly agriculture.

Hey Z, great region and it looks like a nice start to your CJ!!

I'm afraid I don't know about PEGs river lots, but I can help you with Marrast's. They are in the Port/Water Menu, right at the very bottom, and they have very clear custom icons to help you. If you've got any of PEGs water stuff installed, Marrast's will be below that. Hope that helps!

    Keep up the good work!

yeah that problem with pegs lots I too have experienced it takes practive manipulating them the way you want, try placing roads on either side to level the terrain, they will often change the way the lots face just experiment it takes a while but your cj is looking great, I'll be following it.

Ok, things all of a sudden really picked up and I will have to postpone my update until later this evening.  However, I will leave you guys with some teaser pictures.

Aleking, I figured out how to rotate the pieces.  I don't know what I was thinking or how I missed it, but you just press the home key to rotate lots.

Looking good Z! That river kit looks excellent there, maybe I'll have to get that if you can get it looking that good...

BTW, don't rush to get the updates in if you're short of time. It's worth spending the time getting it how you'd like, rather than trying to fulfil something you might have said earlier. After all, we all have real lives! I know that I've done that, and then been up late trying to get all the pictures loaded onto Imageshack 2.gif! Take your time, and we'll be waiting to see it whenever you get it here! 10.gif

Thanks Will.  Now that I figured out how to work the river kit, I'm having too much fun.  The entire river in this town took me about 2 hours.46.gif9.gif  But it was worth it.  The funny thing is that I already know when I look a map what I want to do.  Its nice when I go to play because I already know in my head where I want certain things to go.  hehe  Anywho, here's the update!

The FARR have enough members and farmers within the city limits to open their very own Farmer's Market on the corner of Riverside Ave, and Corn Hallow Rd.

After a few months, the RRAP(Redrock Ridge Animal Preserve) finally has its own Ranger Station.  Near the small pond, the RRAP Shack, as it is know to the residents, is the HQ for the Rangers that patrol the Animal Preserve.

    rrapshack7zx.jpg

Several backpackers were able to make it to Redrock Lake and photo graph rare pictures of the wild Mustangs frolicing in the lakes cool waters.  The photographer remains unnamed, due to the fact that the preserve is off limits to hikers and backpackers.

    frolic0ys.jpg

Several Surveyers, while examining Redrocks ever growning farming community, were in a helicopter over the valley and snapped a picture of the Redrock River Cascade, with Redrock Lake.

A couple of months after the Election of Farm Old McDouglas as mayor, his new home has been completed on his property near Riverside Ave.

Redrock, after seeing a small boom, were given some recignition for the school's great work in the country wide science fair.  After completing first, the President saw it fit to start construction on an observatory upon Redrock Ridge, itself.

Yes, looking quite nice indeed. I like the roads and rails that go along or through the rock cuts.

I like the way you used the PEG Stream Kit to make the river. It looks awesome, and it makes for a beautiful-looking valley. I also like the buffer between the railway. Great job, and I can't wait to see this region develop.

oroen, thanks.  There is a canyon near my home and the railroad is built on the canyon wall, basically.  I really like the way it looks, and it saves on space in my city. hehe  So, I used the concept.

Mdz1001, thanks for your comments.  I really love your CJ, and I'm flattered you like mine.48.gif

Cjah, you must share my amazement when I stumbled across it.  My first thought was, why haven't I noticed that before...?46.gif  I'm glad you like my CJ.1.gif
