In English class, we played a "game" (well, a "game" according to the teacher 18.gif  ) of writing a one page paper. The objective of the paper was to answer the question "If there was just one person in this world that you could only meet for one day, who would it be and why?" Well, it took me a while to figure out who I would write about. I finally realized that I wanted to meet my great-great-grandfather who came to America from Poland during WW2. It would have been interesting to hear about the great struggle and journey he had to take just to get to America. He would have been executed since he was a Jewish Pole, but luckily he escaped. So I wrote my paper on him.

So here's my question to you... If there was just one person in this entire world that you could only meet for one day, who would it be and why would it be that person? It can be anyone from the past, present, and even future (I suppose a fictional character). Have fun! 4.gif

The most likely person would be the fellow I am currently using as my avatar. I believe we would have many similar interests in science (especially astronomy - that would be a conversation worth many years alone), the environment, politics, religion and life in general.

Homer Simpson.

We'd have great philosophical discussions and pretty much bask in each other's intellectual greatness. Meaning we'd do something involving TV

Richard Branson

For some reason I have always been a fan of this entrepreneur, I have read his autobiography. It would be interesting if I could see him one day, I would learn a lot. Also, I might manage to convince him to give me a free ticket on Virgin Galactic. 3.gif

Johann Sebastian Bach.  I have always wanted to meet the composer of much of the contrapuntal music I so admire.

Since we can pick people in the future, I think I'd like to meet myself from the future (like Stewie did in the Family Guy movie 3.gif ).  It'd be interesting to see how my life turned out and then see if  can come back to the present and change it. 3.gif

Aaron Weiss of the band mewithoutYou.

I saw them live on the 14th in Baltimore and although I know their music so well there is somewhat of a mystery to him. I just want to meet him and get to know him and his beliefs. He is an inspiration to me and I look up to him because he is carefree and is so different and he speaks so beautifully 48.gif

Thomas Jefferson. He had such an intense interest and proficiency in practically everything, something I guess I kinda strive for. I'm a car geek, and I'd imagine he'd be fascinated by such machines.

It would be Kelis...I'd show her my Milkshake is better than hers, I could teach her but I'd have to charge2.gif jk

I guess it would be Barack Obama...I've developed some kind of fascination over that guy after reading his books...I'm not sure it's a good thing for either of us....

Samuel Clemmons

He just seems like a fun person to hang out with.

Plus id like to hear him rant about what they have done to his books.

Very good question! There are so many people that I would like to meet or have a chance to meet if they were still here.

The one that I would chose though would be Jesus. I would love to be able to just learn from the man himself without having some over religious goober try to interpret what he was trying to tell us. I believe that there would be more to it then what we have been taught throughout the years.

Seeing myself in the future would be cool, and if I didn't like what I saw I could always change it (like in Click).

But as for another person I would like to meet the person who invented language and speak to him/her (assuming he/she spoke English 3.gif) about how he/she managed to teach speechless people how to communicate with one another, and what gave him/her the idea the idea to do so. It has always plagued my mind...

This is quite difficult. It would have to be someone I would remember for the rest of my life.

I would love to have a long chat over a cup of tea with Tony Blair. He has always fascinated me and I would love to know how he has coped with being the most important man in Europe (imho) for 10 years. Also I would love to know how to get to the top of the political ladder.

Gosh, so many possibilities...Jesus, Siddharta Guatama, Confucious, Mohammed, Aristotle, Cleopatra, Napoleon, DaVinci, Michelangelo, Einstein, Yoda, Q...

But I wonder, what insights would the last human, the final descendant of mankind in the future before whatever glorious or tragic destiny befalls us, have to share. Anything we should watch for, anything we should look forward too?

Or I could settle for the Lascivious Queen of the Beautiful Amazon Women on their Planet of Carnal Pleasure. Aww, does it have to be just a day? Wait a minute, just what did happen to all the men here...

Lead singer of The Used; Bert McCracken.  I'd love to see how his mind works and how he thinks about things, I'd love to get some inspirations for writings as amazing as his and I'd like him to see some of mine.  It'd be so awesome considering he's like, my IDOL!  9.gif

Well, there are a ton of great minds that I would love to meet, if only for an hour. However, I would have to say that it would be fantastic to meet and talk to Charles Darwin. I would love to be the one to show him how biology has progressed, including the development of genetics, cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and medical science.
