It looks better now the building has finished.

I'm trying to find a view from Portsdown Hill at night (I took one in the day, but it didn't come out very well). Tonks, can you help me out?

after that news report, I'm sure our tourism went way down.  So for those of you too scare to visit the most dangerous city in America, I give you St. Louis, Missouri.  I'm a police officer here too.  I like it here, there is only a few other place I would want to live.

Damn you guys, can't you read? ;P

Anyway, here's my part: a panoramic view over city of Tampere, Finland. This view can be seen at Pyynikki observation tower. Picture is taken by Miika Heiskanen.

800px-Tampere_panoramic_view.jpg

Clickety-click for a bigger view. (13070 x 1200 3.79 MB)

I think one of these days I'm gonna go there and take a panorama of my own. Too bad that it's too damn bright here at summer so a night panorama isn't possible since the tower closes at 8 pm.

Interchange's last picture was pretty cool and Mike the Mayor's third picture had something that appealled to me. Yet montrouge's night panorama of Paris was nearly awesome :D

Who are you, and how did you manage to just become one of my best friends on this site? There's nobody (seriously, NOBODY) on this site from Sacramento here. I . . . was . . . unique. Oh well, still am. Great picture from the Sacramento River, but wouldn't that have been taken from a boat? TopCliff

I second that.  One image folks or else the pages get all messy and no fun to view.  Thanks!

^ There are other threads to post multiple photos of your city. You can even create your own thread for your city. The author of this thread requested that you post the best image (ever) of your city.

haljackey: Not directly voted but the Monocle magazine made a little research of the best place to live. Here's the thread: The world's Best Cities. Vancouver was on the 15th place.

I have been looking at this thread for quite some time and I've always thought it was kind of cool to see all of the different pictures of other cities so i thought i would share some of my home town called Post Falls, ID, sandwiched right in between Spokane washington and Coeur d' Alene ID. It is a very enjoyable place to live with plenty of places to go and sights to see while maintaining a very rural/suburban feel. Although our town may be exceeding 50,000 by as little as 2010. Anyways, nuff sed here is a few pictures.

postfalls2bg9.jpg

This is a picture of the Post Falls Marina which is just east of the dam and the new 7 story condo's over looking the gorgeous Spokane river. Although, I couldn't find a photo of the new condos.

postfalls1op9.jpg

This is a little bit older picture and not really the best picture but it was all i could find. The brown sandy area up and to the left of the marina is where the condo's have now been put in. You can kind of see Mt. Spokane in the distance as well as the Rathdrum Sawtooth mountains. Also, most of the green fields you see are now filled with houses.

I guess thats about it for now. Good? Bad? Worth even mentioning?

Edit: took out some pictures. People don't want more than one but I think this one needs two because the first pic i just love and the next one shows a lot more of the city.

Exil3: That looks so beautiful and idyllic. Do you live far from Ålesund? I'm too lazy to look it up from some map service. I've seen some pictures of that town and I've never seen a better looking town anywhere.
