Hello, All.

Have you been looking for "that mapping or terraforming thread that you just know use to be here"?  Or, spent time searching through the forum for "that mapping or terraforming tutorial that you just know use to be here"?

Well, it is entirely possible that the thread(s) or tutorial(s) you been looking for have been moved to the Mapping & Terraforming section of the Simtropolis Omnibus.

This new Omnibus section has become the repository for Simtropolis' mapping and terraforming information.  As I search through the forum and find a worthwhile addition to OmniMaps, I will take the information and create an article containing the information found.

The original information will be archived (removed from public view) and a notice will be placed in this thread detailing what the old information (thread or tutorial) was as well as a link to the new OmniMaps article containing the information.

If you have any questions concerning this, please feel free to PM a site staff member.

Regards,

Vandy

hi - i get an error message 103 when i click on youre "Installing a Region Downloaded from the STEX" link

Yes, the Omnibus was recently moved from the forums into a Wiki style format and we're still in the process of transferring a few articles and updating links in the forums.

The link to the new Omnibus is at the top of every page, or you can just click here.

The specific tutorial you were looking for is right here.

Let me know if you need a hand finding any other tutorials!

Everything is coming up with error messages.

Why exactly do we have a thread telling us where to get a thread instead of just having a thread on the original topic?

Just a note to add to your "links" for the pinned messages, they probably should include some version of this post I made recently elsewhere. There are often requests for help with SC4TerraFormer (also known as SC4TF). This should help those looking for sources and support:

Be sure you have the latest
(also called the "NHP release" NOTE: You must be
    to download) It includes a
    readme.html
that explains in detail the needs and requirements of the program including dependencies and links to those dependencies and to support threads. If you have the older version 1.0 the links are there (were on Simtropolis), but not longer work properly

No, in fact the installation is quite required. You may not simply open it and run it in most cases

Yes, and they're all fixed now in the posts above. *;)

This should've been done a long time ago!
