Cool! We have up to 8 custom S200 avatars in a row on a page now! If you didn't get yours, they are on page 196. Or PM me if its not there. I am making a collage of them. :-)

If you direect your attention to the tiny, perfectly round hole, you may see te similarities between it and a finger. However, because of shadows, poor lighting, etc. the hole is simply... dark. If better lighted, it may prove that the hole is in fact TOO deep for human fingers to penetrate and may be that of ALIENS!

As for any new evidence, it is inconclusive unless the mystery rock may be flipped over?... Perhaps that may or may not provide answers?

Daniel (and Vala) were able to complete a scan of the hole in the artifact last night as well, using another scanner that for some reason only displays results in the Ancient language. (I should get someone to fix that) The scan shows that the hole has a depth of 30 megananites. The scan also shows that the hole was likely made by something with a sharp point. (possibly a drill or a claw?)

It's gotta be aliens. There no other explanation. (unless someone decides to be realiiiistic) (rolls eyes)

This CJ is getting confusing. What about the news about Prince Excalibur? And the volcano in New Atkinos? And the aliens? And the spiders?

Ah, well thank you for the avatar, but I'm afraid I must decline and stick with my own. This is for two reasons.

    1) I'm rather attached to my own.

    2) I'm having trouble telling who's who now all over the forums. 3.gif

Ah, anyway, interesting family tree going on there. 4.gif Has the Supreme Wirdle disowned the Admiral for her antics yet? 3.gif

Sprit of Schulmania Thanks to these posters who have used their Schulmania at 200 Avatars to celebrate the upcoming milestone (do they have kilometer stones in metric countries?): abcvs, Leech10, Explodingsims, John94538, ilikehotdogsalot, cleaner475, Hester, ky72x, gabry85, Joetropian1, csgcseri, purpledaddy. The Supreme Wirdle is commissioning a collage of your avatars for the art museum.

Abcvs Umm, Craig... don't quit your day job just yet!

    GreekMan Awww...

John94538 John, my friend, that is an ode for the ages!

suplado! Thanks! Glad you enjoyed yours!

penguin007 Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.

Jacqulina Thanks, J. Always glad to see you in Schulmania.

Za Thanks! And a great 08 to you too!

    gabry85 Thanks, Mayor Gabry!

Leech10 Thanks! And a great 08 to you too.

Benedict You are welcome. I am glad you like it.

    bbfan02 Awwwww.....

Hester You are correct. In the Special Features section, the National Symbols updates include the gray black and white tricolor flag.

gabry85 The anniversary update will have a major revelation in it. So, be prepared!

Abcvs Uniform? We look good in uniform, don't we?

Hester We do! 8 in a row on a page already. Cool!

Leech10 It is a little. You have to read or you think it's just you!

Joetropian1 My mother thinks it is 1940 but it is hard to tell. I just don't think so. My hometown did not exist in 1940.

Leech10 The non-mystery one is from 1982. But, the mystery one is still quite the mystery!

Explodingsims Excalibur's dates are 22 Oct 1981 - 19 Mar 1982. We got him in late January, so we had him only a very short time.

John94538 Thanks for your milestone post! Runes, you say? Another Kensington Stone?

suplado! Well, one is 25. The other, who knows?!

Joetropian1 I flipped it over. It is just the shape of the ground upon which it was poured. No clues there.

    Leech10 A claw? Possible!

Joetropian1 Patience, one update at a time! I may bump Excalibur if it happens around page 200 and get him after. The others are all waiting - well, most of them, anyway!

gabry85 I am sure these artifacts will be in a museum one day. Kinda cool to have real CJ artifacts!

    Hester All shall be revealed!

Zelgadis I like your avatar too! It's a Borg-style assimilation of avatars. You know the ST motto... "many cities, one avatar"! Lol. Anyhoo, the Admiral is still in the family. Her leadership has been vital for exploration. But, if she keeps getting in trouble, she may have her Fancy feast a

My theory with Prince Excaliber has always been that Merlin was either an Ancient or a feline.  Perhaps we can ask Vala! 9.gif

Congratulations on your journal's popularity and longevity into the new year! 10.gif

zelgadis: Don't worry about that. Like for instance, not many people put the hungarian flag in their signature. And i needed a new avatar, that tram was quite an old avatar.

Schulmanator: To answer your question, yes, they (/we) do have kilometer stones. In hungarian: Kilom

Oooops! Sorry, I missed quite a bit! But a Happy New Year from British Columbia, Canada! I thank you for the avatar, but I might use it another time because I'm kind of used to the apple one! And about those artifacts, two words. Very old!

Merging of Real Life Archaeology and Schulmania

Part 2: Voice of the Ancients

    wp1sa3.jpg

    Wirtyplace, center of the realm

The Supreme Wirdle, leader of the nation and embodiment of supremacy, was trying on her new cloak. The fabulous gold cloak was designed by the acclaimed fashion house of Manning & Fulmer, best known for the elegant orange and white gowns used for the Coronation Ball last year. Amazingly enough, the fabric was made entirely from woven gold. Pure gold was spun so thin that it could be woven like fabric. This new advance was made possible by the push for greater technology. Fabric mills can now produce finer cloth than ever before – and at astounding rates. The finest cloth, of gold, was spun for the Supreme Wirdle in honor of the new year.

    newcloakoh3.jpg

The cloak was very comfortable, though a bit billowy on her 5.5 pound (<3 kg) frame. But, if you were 5.5 pounds, your clothes would be billowy too.

She then performed one of her most important rituals, going inside and outside. She likes to have her servants hold the doors open to Wirtyplace so that she can go in and out several times a day. She gets a laugh out of staying in the doorway, pausing long enough that her servants wonder if she intends to go out or reverse course and stay inside. When it is snowy, she often does indeed reverse course. She does not like cold paws. After her 9th egress, a messenger arrived with an urgent message. He reported that he had arrived in Stell via boat from Babalonia and rode straightaway to Wirt. He reported that a strange, perhaps ominous, but definitely perplexing, artifact was found during reconstruction efforts.

    bb2cb1.jpg

At the Treasury of the Whiskers, which has been fenced off during restoration, thousands of artifacts have been recovered. But, this one was different. This one had the name of her nephew, Prince Excalibur. As the name was quite uncommon, it aroused a great deal of attention. The Supreme Wirdle asked to have the artifact brought to her at once for examination.

    xcaliburug8.jpg

Prince Excalibur was unavailable at the time. He and a large group of cats and humanoids were setting up a large exploration expedition deep in the forests of Devonshire. She would not be able to question him.

The item arrived. Found in three fragments, it appears to have his name and dates on it. The date matches up with his birthday, October 22nd. But, it appeared to be a tombstone. How could that be? He was very much alive – as far as anyone knew. And, this artifact was ancient in the extreme.

    archaeology2xcalwr5.jpg

This find raised more questions than it could answer

She sent the fragments and a team of investigators to consult with elders at the Sacred Precinct. Surely, these custodians of culture would know the significance of this find.

    sacredr6hr9.jpg

This caused quite a stir. Everyone from monastic students all the way up to Bishop Hamby tried to interpret the findings.

Some perceived t as a hoax. Others, a coincidence. A few saw it as a threat to the life of the prince. Perhaps a prophecy from the ancient past? It was decided to report this to the prince, so that he would be aware of it. But, as it turns out, the expedition had already set forth to Devonshire and was already moving toward base camp at Monkey Power Mountain.

    wider10ky5.jpg

Excalibur was too far ahead for any messenger to reach him

And, if a messenger did reach him, what would they say? A chilling thought did occur: as the expedition makes their eastern drive, what awaits them? After all, was it not foretold that something dangerous would come from the east? To Schulmericho? Would that apply to the prince?

We will have to see what the expedition finds…

Oh gosh, that sounds ominous!!!!! I am starting to be concerned for Prince Excalibur's life. I am anxious for more news.

The Supreme Wirdle's billowy cloak is most gorgeous. Spun gold. That is entirely fitting. (no pun intended)

Hmm, strange. Perhaps the aliens or spiders can time-travel. Or perhaps the spiders ARE aliens. But, since Schulmania is in the 1700's, Prince Excalibur won't be in danger for 200 more years. The Schulmanians in New Atkinos should be worrying about that volcano, too.

Pffft pffft.... is this thing on...

(Still learning how to use the mod buttons...XD)

    Well... um er...

As lovely as they are, please do not start a craze of putting avatars, old, new, celebratory or otherwise in your signature...  the reason is simple...  an 80x80 avatar exceeds the signature height limit of 50 pixels.

If you want to resize them to 50x50 that is fine. However the total sum of signature images must still be within the 300x50 limits.  So technically you could put 6, 50x50 avatars in your sig if you really wanted to...

I hope that was not too confusing.

Also I know it is terribly exciting and all with the big 200 celebration thingy and everything, but do please keep the posts focused on the updates rather than chatter about page 200...

Page 200 (and post 6000 for that matter) WILL come - it is like Christmas and birthdays...  the suspense is huge but it does come whether grinchy CJ mods like it or not... XD.

Oh and by the way Mrs Abcivvis says 1940....  and she is pretty much always right... cos she is MY moderator...  *shudders*

After doing some advanced methods to clear the surface of the picture- we noticed a startling fact- that they were in fact  THREE different rocks. We presume two were added to the orginal one in a clever attempt to change it's meaning.

    The orginal rock says:

    =xcal

    -22 19c

    1C

    Now, with the additions:

    (D Mi)*

    Excalibur

    -22 1981-

    1C

*we were unable to find where it aligned with the orginal.

The image is attached- no, it isn't! Sorry.
