    Jrhnemo Dingleberries, eh?

Zelgadis She may very well be up for a new residence. We'll have to see if she goes for the massive proposal sent to her desk a while back.

Joetropian1 There has not been any attack... yet. Except of course for the killer tomatoes!

Za Hmmm.. the Binford 6100 Autosharpener is under development!

    Leech10 Thanks!

Jacqulina Thanks! It aint no Rand McNally, but it's not too bad!

IDS2 Thanks. It is a fairly sleepy town to be a capital.

Leech10 That post bug cannot take a hint! Maybe I need a velvet rope around Schulmania and bouncers at the door to keep them out!

penguin007 More, thou sayest? Thy will shall be done... soon!

Explodingsims Exploding's hair: you are welcome!

DioAngel ROAD TRIP!! Let's all pile up in a wagon and ride all over town!

SimRabbit123 Thanks! And, welcome to Schulmania. I hope you like your cake.

gabry85 I do like those angled roads!

bbfan02 lol! I aim to please!

Bakercity Save your schulmonetas... there may be some new housing available soon.

suplado! Thanks. It is something different. And I had to be sneaky to get all of the plopped commercials to grow facing parks (as the roads are not transit enabled).

Abcvs I shall have to commence to rattling then!

John94538 Tuna cake is one of the Supreme Wirdle's favorites. Catkin Robins has 31 flavors of feline ice cream too - including tuna, salmon swirl and sardine chip. YUM!

dralin321 Hmmm... a virtual virtual map? An interest concept!

    gabry85 Thanks, Mayor Gabry!

ky72x Me too! Glad you liked it. And, I suppose you are quite pleased with the Nextel Cup? Twice in a row!

Mr. Beer Thanks! Glad you like it. I think the texture works better as well.

Sadar Thanks! And congratulations on de-lurking! Always glad to have another new face in Schulmania. I hope you will visit soon so that you can see your star!

John94538 Page 200? Already? The pressure! The pressure!

Joetropian1 Fear not! When the next posting awards come out, you will be in line for a nice one as well. I was going to have them come at post 5000, but it was only ~10 pages from the page 150 awards. So, I thought I would hold off a bit. Esp. since there is starting to be a lot of movement in the rankings. Oh, I am glad you liked National Plaza. Had to find a way to get the flag in town somewhere!

The Big Z Thanks! Glad to see you back.

Jrhnemo Thanks! Only problem is folding it back right to<

I'd have to say that is a very nice map, though I personally think that it is a little excessive in the number of roads that are named. For the Squares, just one name for each direction typically would to do the trick. That's just my passive-aggressive opinion, though.

As a side note, this may actually be my first post in your CJ. Not sure though, because there would be 175 pages to look through.

    Schulmanicus: Something Big Is Coming

    schulmanicusmastheadbz2.jpg

To handle the space crunch for government offices, new facilities needed to be built - fast - lest the whole town be overrun with government offices. And, serving as the government center for the District of Schulmanicus as well as for the nation leads to even more government offices. Some proposals call for twin capitol complexes and others for establishing a second capitol elsewhere. The accepted proposal came from Porkissimo & Associates, who proposed a graceful stone and metalwork edifice to house both national and district offices. A grand arcade separates the two levels of government. The site selected is down the hill from the crest of Oak Ridge, further down East Drive, which has been extended.

    capitoloverlookmk8.jpg

Looking downhill from Edgehill Lane, the rooftop of the massive new government facility can be seen on the horizon.

    capitol4ns3.jpg

A wider view shows the entire facility. On the left are the offices of national government. On the right are the district government offices. The facility is known as Schulmanicus Palace and is the first large scale government building built on Schulmanicus.

    capitol1vs8.jpg

The palace fronts a flag-laden plaza with many of the monuments Wirt and Schulmanicus have earned serving as focal points. Additional retail and administrative buildings flank the palace on two sides.

    capitol2js9.jpg

Some of the monuments are very ancient indeed. The clocks are placeholders. When a new monument has been awarded, they will be removed and replaced.

    capitol3jm2.jpg

We all remember the monument Wirt received for the Coin of the Year Award. Its new home is here on the plaza.

Now, Schulmania has a grand government building more suitable for the needs of a modern feline ruler. A service was held to commemorate the grand opening of the palace at the national church, St. Francis & St. Flora, followed by a processional to the new building.

    church1vy4.jpg

One of the oldest churches in the nation - and one of the smallest. But, the most significant as it is the site of the Supreme Wirdle's coronation.

    church2zf0.jpg

As viewed from the rooftop of the Supreme Wirdle's house, the church is quite close. It makes for a short commute on Sunday mornings.

In the next update, we will take a walk around the town and have some wider shots in larger sizes of historic Wirt.

Nice, Wirt is looking really good for a 1000 year old city! Hope it will be there for 1000 more!

BTW: My hair likes the little church! Very nice!

A Star? That is doing very bad things to my already over bloated self esteem... 43.gif

Apparently nobody is not worried about class ceiling in Schulmania.

With so much scenery, green stuff and glass, I'm worried about the birds, though... 8.gif

Maybe Her Greatness will establish a bird-clinic near the Administrative building.

Then again, She is a cat...

Great work, I love those backyards in the first shot! Please, could you tell me where can I find them? Also, nice palace, it blends well with the surroundings! 44.gif

P.S.: I can't see the "Coin of the Year Award" picture.

Yes, I'm quite pleased on how NASCAR turned out! 3.gif Just look at my avatar and sig pictures! Both honoring Jimmie Johnson, of course. Next year shall be quite an interesting season with many big drivers moving to different teams, and JGR switching to Toyotas.

That's a very nice government building. Although it looks a bit more modern, the color blends well with the plazas/paths and surrounding buildings. That was a great update. Keep up the excellent work, I can't wait for more!

Ack! *Shoots time bug with a staff cannon*

Oh, and by the way, the governmental building looks exactly like the transporter station in al'Sahra's capital... and the same exact building is also in Reshalamo, Zabitake. It seems to be a popular design on many planets. 3.gif

Love the new government building, it's fabulous... In comparison to the people, the building is like a palace.

It would be cool to see a completely, 100% planned government capital city thing. Well-paved avenues, monuments adorning block after block, huge oasises of Purr-fection, etc.

    The flags look nice, too...
