Leech10 Thanks! More is on the way. Getting the finishing touches while simultaneously working on 4 separate updates. Who knows what order they will end up in!

Topcliff The SW would enjoy a koi pond. Frankly, I am surprised she never thought of that. No wonder she likes you so much! She sends you a bucket o' purrs!

Csgcseri Exploration is coming! I have 3 exploration thingies in various stages of readiness. No telling which will be done first! But, they are in process.

Flann Thanks! Glad you like it. And, welcome to Schulmania! Feel free to use the Newcomer's Guide to get the backstory for where we are now.

fledder200 Better luck next time! We need to see about a lucrative new career for you in loan sharking to get the extra cash you need to bid your way to victory!

Cowcorn It will probably be a while before the next auction, so you can save up your schulmonetas to bid high!

Explodingsims Thanks! It is on its way!

Jacqulina There's a lot of coins too - Schulmanidad and all of Devonshire. A lot of graphics for me to make and then upload and get code for. Hopefully, it will be worth it.

ky72x Thanks! I hope you like it!

John94538 Both are coming! Coins are 95% ready, exploration #1 is 70%, 2 is 40% and 3 is 20%. There's a lot of activity ready to happen.

Bakercity I want my baby back baby back baby back...... baby back ribs!

Thank you, Lil Wirdley-poo! Yes, but since Schulmania still doesn't fly, I have arranged for a rickety wood pier to be built behind her mansion with an old sailing vessel. Unfortunately, the ship is still under restoration using the funds I stole from the tax returns. Oh, and even though they don't fly over there, when she gets here it will be culture shock. Mercedes SLK 500 or BMW 745i?

*Response to Lauren Ahrns* Dispatcher, I need someone to get me an EMP. I know it's dangerous to set it off in the middle of a city, but it's the only thing we can do to prevent a war with this viridian maniac! The detonation point? The helipad on the roof of the Chase Commercial Bank HQ. Maximum effect over a five mile radius. Oh, and tell the SW I say hi. *end transmission*

I know, but why would anyone want to take over a ruined city? I'd rather have the entire Chase Metro destroyed than let alien scum invade! And, I bet you wouldn't invade with the knowledge that the Supreme Wirdle herself is visiting her luxurious new mansion in Channelside. You enter my city, you mess with me, 300,000 registered police and fire officials, and the Supreme Wirdle. One would think that's a bad idea, no?

By the way, TC, EM pulses don't destroy cities. They only destroy electronic things. So all that'd happen would be that anything that requires electricity would stop working. 3.gif

I know, but Chase City is all-electric! It has near double the power demands of San Diego and San Francisco combined! All the Jumbotrons, laptops, PDAs, cable boxes, etc! The entire city would be shut down! Flights would be cancelled, mass transit would be dead on the rails, and there's no way in heck the people working in Chase Commercial Bank Tower will walk down 104 stories and flights of stairs! Sculmania's lucky because it doesn't have electricity . . .

    Coinage Update 3

Hooray! Coinage has resumed in Schulmania – and at a large scale. Several towns already produce coinage in Schulmanicus and Atkinos Districts. Thanks to new deposits of metals, coinage begins now in Schulmanidad and, after a long wait, in Devonshire. Let’s see the new issues.

    SMU Common Specifications:
    1 purr – 19mm in diameter, 95% copper bronze (3.1 grams weight)
    5 purrs – 21 mm in diameter, 95% copper bronze (4.4 grams)
    10 purrs – 18 mm in diameter, 90% silver (2.5 grams)
    25 purrs - 24.5 mm in diameter, 90% silver (6.25 grams)
    50 purrs – 30.5 mm in diameter, 90% silver (12.5 grams)
    1 schulmoneta – 26.5 mm in diameter, 90% gold (8.1 grams)

    Hello, Dear Schulmanator.

I am quite happy to read that you will accept my bond purchase offer.  I trust by now you've received your check?  It is my pleasure to be be able to help the "cause" (as it were) to further our push out to unexplored territories.

As to my machine shop, let's just say that it is doing quite well and is not my only source of income.  I'd rather not explore that statement any further if you don't mind.  At least not in a public forum...

I was also very, very please to see the new coinage of the land.  These new issues are sure to make many, many people very, very happy and have opened up a tremendous amount of opportunity for a hard-working entrepreneur.  Yes, I believe this new coinage will be quite lucrative...

    Regards,

    Gary

Now Schulmanator, if the Supreme Wirdle will be staying at her mansion in Channelside anytime soon, we need to figure out the conversion rate between her purrs and my bucks! Once I have the conversion rate, I will have the best bank in Chase pull together her conversion amount and deposit it in her massive safe behind the desk in her office. Thank you, and good day.

Topcliff Unfortunately, the Supreme Wirdle does not like cars. Whe associates them with trips to the vet. Perhaps if there was some sort of luxury rickshaw with cat toys dangling from the top, she would take a ride. I wonder if Bentley makes one of those...

    fledder200 Noooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!

dralin321 We shall see! It is getting much closer now!

Leech10 Lauren, your coinage update has been posted, as per your request!

SimsRealator Thanks! [blushing] It really takes less time than you would think. I work very fast. The longest part is building the cities. The rest of it really is not too bad. It was longer at first, but now I have sort of a system going. And, I already have the storyline worked out. I plan the updates when I am bored, so all I have to do is type it up and slap in some pix. And then of course throw in some random stuff from time to time too. Come on back anytime to Schulmania!

Shadow_Assassin Schulminions look quizzically at each other: "What is electricity?"

Gop Thanks! Want some? I can work up a nice set for sale!

suplado! Glad you like them. Think I should offer a set for sale?

Jrhnemo Spend away! Keep the economy going. And, where's that catnip mountain?

Csgcseri Thank you for stopping by again. Yes, the coins are all of the same size and composition. So, they are fully interchangeable. Early on, every town was totally different and scales had to be brought out for every transaction. So, it is sort of like the euro, except that all of the coins are from one nation - not many. Perhaps as the nation spreads it will condense national coinage into intermediate states or perhaps a single nationwide currency. We'll have to see about that as it develops.

Vandy Thanks for dropping by. I am sure that you will be pleased to know that your bon purchase has enabled the Wirdleonia discovery corps to hasten preparation and be able to fan out to cover more territory. Already, Schulmanidad is experiencing the buildup of explorers and supplies. Surplus funds are being used to help equip the Devonshire Expeditionary Group and build a stronger fleet of ships to sail west.

Rahjan What say I offer some sets for sale? If I do, I wonder if it should be the whole set from everywhere or perhaps just the gold coins.

Topcliff The official exchange rate is 100 purrs= 1 schulmoneta. 1 schulmoneta is equal to 8.1 grams of 90% pure gold, or 0.23438 troy ounces of pure gold. At today's NY gold closing price of US$ 656.30, that makes a schulmoneta worth a whopping US $153.82! How does a Chase City Buck convert to US$?

Explodingsims I am glad you like the latest coinage installment. Schulmania is now decimal, 100 purrs in a schulmoneta.

Villagemayor That's the new money for those towns. Lake George Council issues all have a rose on the one purr and a crown on the ten. Their coinage also circulates in Monkey Power Mountain and in the backwoods of Devonshire. The Schulmanidad money is also used in Old Schulmania and in Risa Beach.

ky72x Thanks! I think I will be offering sets for sale. The coinage is roughly based on US coins - as that was the easiest set of specs for me to get. I opted for a copper 5 instead of silver color to add visual variety. The 1-10-25-50 are all of the identical size and composition of their US counterparts (prior to 1964, anyway). The schulmoneta is the same size as the US golden dollar, but a different composition. I am using the scale of 10 pixels to 1 mm in the images. So, the 1 purr is 190 pixels or 19 mm, just like the US cent.

Fallon144 Hmmm, I am sensing a mint set being readied for sale!

El Burro I am so relived they don't have chocolate money... I would eat through my savings in no time!

John94538 That's the latest batch of schulmonetas, anyway! If you go to the main index (link in sig) you can find links to the other 2 batches of Schulmania coins. The "treasury reports" are the banknotes, BTW.

Za Glad you are back! And, congrats on the 200th post. And, added to the sig... I will have to spot you a free mint set of coins when they are available!

Leech10 More? More is coming soon! Working on it now. And something I thought up while eating pizza... or, shall I say.... *8* things I thought up!
