The pizza finally arrived... after taking twice as long as it was supposed to take. Maybe the reason it was late was because it went though the Bajoran wormhole...

And maybe I will BAT that mouse ship...

    Schulminion Monetary Union
    Coinage Update 4

An expanded nation has an expanded need for commerce – and for money. New deposits of metals in the south and east allow for as many coins as needed to be produced. Each town is allowed to produce coins in all available denominations as needed, provided that the issues use the common Schulminion specifications. Nearly every town produces coins, except for Old Schulmania and Risa Beach and the three new coastal towns in Devonshire. Perhaps they, too, will produce some soon.

For the collector, it is important to note the relative rarity of coins from certain cities. Production is dependent on need, which in turn is dependent upon population and size of local economy. Here is a list of the most common and most rare issues:

    Most Common
    Schulmanicus: Wirt, Busscastle, Smightower
Atkinos: Gran Maru, Atkinos, Schulmanidad (also used for Risa Beach and Old Schulmania)
Devonshire: Schulmericho, Georgehampton, Darkel by the Sea

    Least Common
    Schulmanicus: Wanda, Stell
    Atkinos: Babalonia
Devonshire: George’s Crossroads, Monkey Power Mountain

Some additional notes for collectors: new designs are proposed by some of the established towns in Atkinos and Schulmanicus districts. Some towns have used the same design for centuries and are ready for a change. The Supreme Wirdle has authorized towns to change up to two of their coin designs. Most interest is on the larger silver coins. Additionally, the upcoming governmental reorganization proposed by the Supreme Wirdle’s council would provide additional opportunities for coin issues by intercity governmental units, perhaps in other, higher denominations.

    SMU Common Specifications:
    1 purr – 19mm in diameter, 95% copper bronze (3.1 grams weight)
    5 purrs – 21 mm in diameter, 95% copper bronze (4.4 grams)
    10 purrs – 18 mm in diameter, 90% silver (2.5 grams)
    25 purrs - 24.5 mm in diameter, 90% silver (6.25 grams)
    50 purrs – 30.5 mm in diameter, 90% silver (12.5 grams)
    1 schulmoneta – 26.5 mm in diameter, 90% gold (8.1 grams)

    Mint: Schulmanidad

I think I have a few of those coins in my vault. I collected some at the big party last Spring when I was playing my tuba, You remember...I had to get a dish pan to carry the over flow of money people threw in my tip jar. Hey..when you're good, you're good. Of course wearing my Fledder Made wooden skirt and stilettos didn't hurt. I looked good, didn't I?

Money, yay... The Supreme Wirdle must have been busy lately with designing new money. Will it become popular or fail ecause of humanoids annoying feeling of endearment for the older currency???

And the emissary will return in a few days after a tour of Miltonia and major cities.

I'm beginning to think that it will wind up like the old American money system. It will become confusing. Not unless the money is accepted in all the towns.

Return of the coins! Awesome. I could see the designs on these coins becoming wrappers for chocolate. I think that would be a good idea, considering what's already happened to Gabry over there. 3.gif

Oh look at the sweet faces on the Babalonia 25 Purr coin! I hope the mint made plenty because I just discovered I don't have any put away in the Vault from all my tuba playing. Tell me the address of the Mint so I can order some Mint sets. Maybe they have a Prestige set?

I need a few New Atkinos coins myself. Even though selling fruit and blue towels havent gotten more than 25 purrs I still would love to have a couple of Schulmentas in my pocket to show to my red kite selling friends.

You didn't get any of Lauren's gold lumps at the towel store?

Twenty five Purrs is pretty good.  So YOU are the one selling blue towels and fruit? I have some red kites for you if you want to sell them on commission. 4.gif

Smarty218 Thanks! GO VOLS! First men's #1 ranking since the time the earth cooled... errr, since BEFORE the earth cooled! Ranked higher than the women - a first for that too. Though, nobody will ever be the coach Pat Summitt is. Someday, well in the future, her mummified body will be laying in state courtside and still piling up victories. She is that dominant of a coach. Seriously - can you think of a program which has NEVER failed to reach the Sweet 16 of a NCAA tournament? Just one comes to mind - the Tennessee women.

Leech10 Really? You would BAT the mouse ship? I will use it if you do!

Hester That was QUITE a game!

    Leech10 Part 4, that is...

NMUSpidey Definitely NOT bubbly! Tee hee!

Leech10 Precognitive?? How about tomorrow's Powerball #'s? I will split it with you 50-50!

suplado! Thanks! Glad you like them - and, welcome back!

Hester So THAT is what you were doing... I thought you were panhandling...

    gabry85 Ummm... nope. Ow!

Joetropian1 The coins are first issues from newer towns... to the same specifications as the existing currency. They all circulate together much like the 50 state quarter program or 12 province quarter programs do in the US and Canada, respectively. Or, the Euro-zone coins.

Shingure No confusion anymore - 100 purrs is one schulmonetas anywhere you go!

Hester The most valuable collector's one is Babalonia - by far the smallest issue.

bbfan02 I have nearly 20 towns issuing coins right now. And some redesigns in the works for some older issues. We're covered up in money... unlike me in RL!

    Smarty218 Hmmm... got a fave?

ky72x Chocolate coins? What would happen to the savings accounts? Raided for snack time!

Hester If there is sufficient demand, I will see about some collectors' sets.

Shingure You could always make a few more purrs renting out blue towels at beachside!

    Leech10 What gold lumps? Hehehehe....

Well I just had a couple of people from Wirt they purchased 30 royal blue towels for about 15 Schulmentas , Meaning I have 1500 purrs. I love the towel purchasing business.

How the hell did you get 150 pages while I was gone? Get a job, you!

Interactive, entertaining, and well-polished, like always. Glad to see you haven't changed.
