Just looked at your map of Saint Martin...Could you by chance give me the image you used to make the island? Reason being my brother and his girlfriend just got back from a week there and this past weekend I got bored and started modding the island..problem was that I didnt have any images of it so I just went off of what I could do with Google Earth...not very acurate at all...Unless you still happened to have the region on your computer? Maybe you could email it or something i have a gmail account so it wouldnt be too much of a pain to attach a rather large file...either way it would be awesome if I could build a better island as my brother said it prettys awesome.

Thorncliffe Transit

Largest mass transit system I've ever attempted, and for the most part it's rather successful. Most station names are derived from unique buildings near the station (some Maxis, some STEX) since I'm lousy at thinking of unique names myself. If it's from the STEX, credit will be given below each image.

Map #1 - Subway/LRT Map

mapsubwayhc5.th.gif

The Madison Skytrain used to be Monorail with about half as less as the stations it has now, then converted to Elevated Rail once my commuter rail system started to develop. The LRTs are essentially GLR pieces and have stations at most major intersections. The San Gimignanoway LRT between Shepherd and Millwood is a dedicated right-of-way (and coincidentally the most popular route among all the LRTs).

Map #2 - Commuter Rail Map

maprailew3.th.gif

Standard Rail for the most part with exception of the high-speed rail section which just has sections of the HSR up beside the current ground rail line but no stations (and a lot of eye-candy construction lots around those areas). I eventually plan on having all ground rail in the system replaced by HSR (once more stations become available). 'Peak Service only' stations are just stations that have the lowest capacity percentage. I've been trying to improve the northeastern downtown section of the system (the Niagara/Birmingham area) so you don't have to transfer twice to go from Morris Park to Niagara without it looking like a mess so I'll have to fool around with it.

Map #3 - Independant Airport RT Map

This line is Elevated Rail with some NAM puzzle pieces to go over roads in certain sections. The "construction sticker" is obviously just eye-candy, but I've had to change the track a number of times in the two sections to prepare for the HSR.

Yo does anyone know how to make streets more than two lanes? Like the avenues only with more than 2 lanes on each side?

Ah, the guilty pleasures of mapmaking...

My magnum opus - the latest Busterville Metro map. The area covered equals 5 x 5 large SC city tiles. 8 metro lines plus commuter rail service. 224 stations in all. Sources of inspiration for the map include London, Melbourne, Ottawa.

Good work Buster! In fact if you placed that map in a train station here in Melbourne, some might be mistaken that's a real map!

A rail/subway/monorial network in the secondary city of a region.  My first map, inspired by this thread.

Improved Busterville Metro map.

I decided I wanted to route all the lines through the downtown. I also moved the airport to a more sensible location where it is now served by a re-routed metro line 8, added a grid that shows the SC config of 5x5 large cities, and cleaned stuff up a bit.

I posted my map a while ago (page 8 or 9 I think), but I have since expanded my system and revised my map:
