Electric Trolley Bus Project

Well I am here sitting in my hotel room looking at market street in San Francisco. Below me is a maze of wire networks for the market street tram AND an electriclly powered bus network.

Ok get the basic idea? The main reason I am starting this thread is because I will need a modder and some help Batting it. I will be the one Batting it but I will need the help.

These will be puzzel pieces and not a mod. I will ask a friend if he can put the power polls on the bues.

Its going to be draggable!

Good luck with this - I've been wishing for them for a long time. Eastern Europe is full of them. They're called "trolley buses".

It can be done by overrides, like my draggable GLR

As some of you know My PC is having problems right now. And I cant BAT as a result.

It should be fixed sometime next week. And i will make the stuff. The real hard part is the modding by fukuda so most of the work is being done by fukuda.

Sounds great!  I will definitely use these in my cities.  I wonder what transit network will it be on, will it be a separate transit network based on the default networks, or what?  I suggest it be made in puzzle pieces, for more customization.

If you want, I can help, if you need it just ask me.  They have trolleybuses running all around the Vancouver area.  If I'm in, I'll work on the bus stops (Yes they will be road-top.  Maybe it will be included in a future version of the RTMT), and some other stuff such as other TE lots that have wires on top of them (such as tollbooths).

It will not be puzzel pieces because dukuda will be able to modd it with overides. Aka you drag a road and drag lets say for the hell of it a highway next to it the road gets the wires then you get rid of the highway. Get my drift. No help is needed at the time because its on hold because of my PC problems.

After A million years my computer is a ok again. I re-downloaded BAT and started work. I only got 1 piece done and didnt even texture it.

I still have to do A corner and a T but once that is done we have teh basic pieces. So expect this to be done tommorrow. After that I will do intercestions.

PS fukuda would it be possible to add these to a GLR straight piece?

Alright corner piece is done. Now All I have to do is the T( just putting a reverse corner on top of the corner, so fast) and teh intersection 4 way

Wires are lookin' good!!!  However, this is what real wires would look like:

Two wires each direction.  That's the type they use in almost every city, including Vancouver.

Pilot- Yeah I realized that but it would get way too croweded and it becomes a lot more complicated by having 4 wires in total. 

T is done just have to do teh 4 way now!

Um--hardly any city in the world uses one wire for their trolleybuses---they only do that for streetcars.

If it gets too complicated for you, I could help.

Also, the wires aren't er... curved.  They seem to be straight---it will put a little challenge for the drivers.
