Alrighty me and fukuda had a little talk. ITs only going to go one way on a road so there will only be wires on teh right side but there will now be 2 wires like real world.

These are sure looking good. Perfect touch to a city. i was wondering since i live in the city if the busses will also short circuit sometimes since the poles fall off after hitting an intersection with an array of wires. lol its funny when it happens theres a spark then the bus driver has to get out and readjust the poles. also i was wondering if there can be two sets of wires for traffic both ways instead of one set only allowing one direction. and i think like in the city one way roads have one set and also there are the long busses with the poles on avenues like the 49 Van Ness Mission bus.1999-07-04-15-X350.jpg

Well Trainboy: that is not going to show in game very well. One has to simplify too make it's show well in the game. What is that round thingy in the last picture ?

Yoman: Like what I see. Hope you might will provide the models for the GLR too.

Try to make a rendering of it and see how it looks inside the game. Wires are hard to get right. I had to make the cables on my station bigger.

Wow thank you all for this feedback.

skyliner22 - Fukuda made the desicion to only make it one way for now but thanks for that awsome comment concerning the city I've based this on.

trainboy2004 - Thank you for those pictures. I dont think I will be able to do the roundabout thingy though.

vester_DK - I was thinking the exact same thing and saved my original models for that. THank you for your info on the wires in Game too. I only rly want these to show at closer zoom levels though.

Alright I'm gonna do the T this morning then the original pieces are done and will be passed to Fukuda for modding.

    Now to Showcase the Pieces:

Did I mention that your creations are great. 4.gif

I know you can't make much details because you won't see them when in game mode, but I have on little request. 9.gif

Could you insert those boxes above the switches, I think that would be really nice.

I get it its a canterary. For trolley bus I dont think we need it + the models a real easy and ited be easier for you to start from scratch. I'm gonna do a rail canterary though maybe.

Also yeah me and fukuda decided never to do the turning wires. ALso that design was scrapped and its only 1 way now.

I have been following this thread enthusiastically, being a fan of all types of transportation.

Some messages have stumped me a bit. I would like to address Pilotdaryl and ask him to stop trying to becomepart of a project when not invited. As I can see both Yoman3 and Fukuda are perfectly capable of handling this project and if they would want your assistance in the project they will ask you.

Asking to hand over models is rather "rude" in my opinion and it makes me wonder what your intentions are. If you want to be part of the project, make a request to participate and let the others decide. Accept that decision.

Help is appreciated when offered not when forced upon.

This thread is stared by Yoman3 and Fukuda to work out an idea they had. You bump into this and are taking over the thread ... that is not just rude, but very rude!

Giving info is probably appreciated, but not starting to present your own experiments with this and taking over the thread. The way you behave can be compared to this:

Imagine somebody has baked a cake ... it looks delicious! You are there too ... and the you think: "Hey .. I think I am also able to bake acake". You run of to the kitched and half an hour later you present your cake ... while everybody else is still admiring the first cake.

You keep butting in on some stuff becaus of the above described behavior. If you have ideas about how things can by either better or just different, just tell people ... do not immediatley run of and come up with comparable items. It happened elsewhere on the site and it happens again.

Enthusiasm is good, it gives energy ... it might encourage others to be also active. But I feel it is not done to come in screaming and kicking taking over a thread. Follow the advise of Yoman3 and start your own thread in which you can show off all your batting qualities, which you ... there is no doubt about that ... absolutely have.

A couple posts combined and slightly edited for clarification after other messages were deleted. Mr. C.

Pilot that is not my style and not most of ST's BATer's styles. YOur models will not be included in our mod and do not post them here. That is taking over Fukuda's and my thread.

NicolaiS is right I will not just hand you my models. And if we need you we will ask. YOu are welcome to start your own project if taht is what you wish but it will not be connected to ours in any way.

We do not need to live near a trolley bus system. I have had alot of exp. with them and I even typed my first post in this thread looking at the from market street SF.

BTW you models are un-realistic. The overhanging pole would collapse if it were built like that and there would be a suspender cable/ attachment to the bar for the wires.

Like I said before do not post any more of your models and wishes to be part of this team in this thread. If you do I will ask a Mod to get rid of it. You are welcome to start your own but  do not do it in here and do not associate it with us.

Great now I've had to flame in my own thread thank you26.gif

Hey guys, I removed a couple of posts here - while enthusiasm is appreciated, it is not appreciated when a person seemingly forces themselves into a project. Starting a different thread would have been a much better idea.

If the posts above mine seem a little confusing, that is my fault - I tried to clean things up as much as possible, but I did a far from perfect sweeping job.

And, Yoman, you did not flame your own thread...I will simply call it a rant you had the right to make ;-)

Back on topic, this does look like a rather interesting project, and I will have to keep an eye on this one. When I was growing up in Dayton, Ohio, we still had some trolley lines working, and I have fond memories of riding them as a child. Keep up the great work.

    hey yoman and fukuda

looks very good, and i am eager to see it ingame

how will it work btw, are these becoming puzzle pieces, lots, eyecandy or something? it would be nice to see it function

(i thought ive read it somewhere that it would be, but im not sure)

off topic: it is nice to see some useless and rather rude posts deleted.

THank you Mr. C that was rly nice of you. I dont mind you moving stuff around at all. Glad I'm doing a nice project here with fukuda.

Vester_DK - fukuda is modding it right now and I have no clue when he'll be done. He said it should be within the week but cross your fingers.

Meastro444 - Yes so am I. A current area I'm working on in my cities are going to get it so expect those to be teh first in game pics. This will be fully functional and draggable!!!

Just do a rendering like it is. Open the plug-in manager. Find the model. Drag it to prop. Now you have made a prop. You can now close PIM.

Open the lot editor. Open a park or something. Save it with a new name. Click on the prop tab. Select all the props on the lot. Now place your prop on the lot. If you can't find it, make your lot bigger.

Well now go and replace the textures on the ground. When you think you have a good lot, to check out your model in the game, save and exit.

Open the game and you will find it in the Park menu.

All this is descriped a lot more in the BAT Essentials tutorial found in the Omnibus.
