Michael1980: thank you, wow that's some high praise.

panthersimcity4: hey thanks for visiting again; well big avnues and axises are normal in South American cities, look at countries like Brazil for example. Wow that's is a good word indeed, a confidence boost.

Goin2Chicago: love your avatar man, Hendrix was a guitar God! thank you, I really enjoyed that comment, it's good to know thay people like looking at my pictures.

SpecialEddie: hey dude, you're pretty much a regular visitor now, i'm, glad you like my work. You'll be pleased to know that this time I got tonnes of comments despite the quietness around the mssage boards. That's what I'm hoping to achieve, my aim is to "re-create" a middle income south american country, wait until you see what's instore. yeah those Paris buildings are gorgeous they add such a great "vintage" feel to a cj. Unfortunately the shipyard isn't available anywhere on the internet, there are some smaller shipyards on the Stex but the one I have was a reward from MasterPlanMan (author of Glen Harbor) for visiting his cj, only a handful of people received one. I would share mine with you but I have to ask MPN for permission and unfortunately he hasn't been around since the beginning of the year, his cj hasn't bene updated in months which is a pity really.., I'll see what I can do but I can't guarantee anything, I'll send him a PM to see what he says (if he replies that is) As for the history, I had to do extensive research on Argentina's history mainly which was quite interesting. I wanted the government district (La Quinta Tinta - the pic you quoted) to have a commanding feel about it and from reading what you said I think I achieved it, thanks dude that's really relieving to know. Lol I still have a problem with the High Speed Rail, it's a bug that I've tried so hard to get rid off but I just couldn't find the solution to solve it but it still works fine and  has helped me with the ingame Communte Time a lot. People's Square is the square outside the Socialist Party's HQ, they do govern Casanares but they're not Communists and they're not anti-capitalists either but they are left wing...I wouldn't say Casanares is a Communist nation though. BA was the main inspiration for this city especially, some areas were also inspired by Caracas, like the huge mountains rising over the massive skyscrapers, I have something like that cooking up which I have yet to show but I will show it in due course2.gif. Thanks so much for your amazing comment I enjoyed replying to it a lot!19.gif.

Yoman: yo! man3.gif, do you get it (hehe, only kidding) hey thanks for the comment and yeah the history took ages to write (..or type?42.gif, lol) I especially wanted the flag to coincide with key historic national events and I think I achieved that well as you said. yeah the national assembly is huge, it has to be to fit 250 odd members in it, lol. Great comment.

S1acker: I had a good laugh looking at your avatar, that is so clever! hey thanks for the nice comment I really appreciate it.1.gif

Diamond Dave66: thank you very very very very very very very very much for your comment, lol and thanks for opening the page with those cute bunnies, lol3.gif.

Eggie99: Thanks for your comment, your cj is also very nice, the last time I had a look at it though all the pictures were gone!15.gif

Pepsi: Hey that was a great boost in my confidence to continue with this cj a really amazing comment, i'm relieved.

aleking: wow what a great honour to have you comment here, I love your poop album btw it's overwhelmingly realistic (I loved the part about Christina and Britney, that was so funny!17.gif) thanks for the comments, you can be certain that I learn a lot from your work that's how I know how to place the BATs in key places. Thanks mate!

    Leech: Thanks

Jarnomiedema: That's great to know jarno, to know that great cjers such as yourself like my cj, really I feel honoured to receive such comments and feedback. Yes I've been mainly showing the inner city you can tell by its vibrancy as you said. It's okay I've not always been around to comment in Chaumont so don't blame yourself plus if you stop by every now and then as you said that's more than enough to be relieved that people do look at my cj, I can tell by the number of views, however commenting is also great and really makes me happy and makes me want to continue showing my cj44.gif. That was a great comment thanks a lot Jarno!5.gif.

Jeallosex: hehehe, I wish I was God, lol3.gif! lol trust me a woman's body is far better than my cj, lol I can guarantee you that, lol. That's been one of the best comments so far, you've made my day dude, lol

Jacquilina: wow that was an awesome comment from such an admired and loved member of this community. Thank you very much jacqui!35.gif

Jasperdeman.nl: hey it's great to see you around again (*reminisces about Giran de Cani back in the day*) hehe, thanks a lot for the great comment and if you want to know how i tweaked my cj pictures on photoshop don't hesitate to ask me, you can PM at anytime.

Kwakelaar: yay, I love seeing old faces around the block again!39.gif it's okay my cj is just beginning to get noticed but i'm glad you discovered it on time because the best is yet to come! Thanks for the comment.

luigiguy: Thanks, that's what I pretty much set out to do, create a realistic cj, I'm glad to hear you say that. (lol I didn't quite get your second comment, if you want to ask for or request a building don't hesitate to tell me, I'm always glad to be of help)

Cjah: Wow, another legendary face around. yeah I didn't realize that about the South American style cjs in Simtropolis, I know about PantherSimcity4's cj (which is really south american, more than mine even, mine is more southern-south american, his shows the style of countries in the north of Soth America, the other one I now about is Rasec, by Fabiosc which is one of my favourites. Great to see you here and who knows, maybe next year I'll come up with an Asian style cj. Thanks for commenting1.gif.

crazychickensc12: Thanks, there will be loads more to come.40.gif

Waz_Up_Tiger: hey welcome to Casanares. I'm sure you'll one day learn how to build nice cities, I was a $%&^! once but I've come a long way. maybe i'll post some tutorials in the future on city layout and how to build realistic inner city areas. Thanks for the comment.

Wow my figers hurt but I loved all the comments.

For now I'll leave you with this: hey guess what! I've started work on another city tile and on downtown.

    bocacy6.jpg

I'm working on the next update as we speak. It'll be finished by tonight, hopefully.

Yep. I'm going to be a regular visitor, so there's no way of getting rid of me. So you're incorpating middle-class South American cities? I can't wait to see more of the mountains such as those bordering in Santiago, Chile; Caracas (as you mentioned), and maybe a taste of Rio De Janeiro, and the cosmopolitan flair of Montevideo!

Are there going to be any shanty towns and slums--every South American city seems to have them...

As for the teaser...the terraforming can only indicate one thing...and that's a PORT.

Crazychickensc12: Thank you, it is going to take me a while to develop that tile but i will sure show it when it is done.

S1acker: lol, thanks, I'm still not sure what I'm going to build on it but I'll figure something out.2.gif

SpecialEddie: It's great to know that you're going to be visiting regularly, I sure do enjoy your comments mate5.gif. I'll show you a little preview of the mountains in today's update, i hope you enjoy it. it looks like you know a lot about South America, I do to, I love that place! land of amazing contrasts36.gif. yes of course there ar going to be shanty towns, I'm hoping to build them on a mountain side, like the ones in Lima. Hey dude, you've given me a great idea as for what to build on that city tile, I swear, the word port hadn't crossed my mind until now but now you mention it, that's what i'm going to do. Thanks for the idea4.gif.

Panthersimcity4: It's not a new city but it's part of Santa Eufrasia (Santa Eufrasia is going to be a sprawl, but as it is only the capital city of Casanares, I will sure be showing more cities, other than SE) thanks for the comment.

    Flumes: Thanks, here's more, lol

Jeallosex: lol, it certainly did. In this next update you'll be able to get a glimpse of the moutains covered in rainforest. Thank you.

    Update 6

Various Residential Areas and Inner City Areas

    Teaser

I present you with Lago Perdido (Lost Lake) It was the main source of clean water for the early Conquistadores who set up military post a few yards south of the lake. The lake used to cover a much larger area but due to urbanisation land from it has been reclaimed for decades, especially since the begining og the 20th century. It was named Lost Lake because a folk legend has it that the lake would appear and disappear in times of human unrest. the original indigenous population of the pre-colonial era used to be "subjects" of the lake which they believed was the birth place of their God.

What remains of the lake today is rigorously protected by the local authorities.

    Night pic

    lagoperdidonightcopyur8.jpg

The larger residential area surrounding the lake is called Barrio Perdido, this area used to be under water in 1900 when the old district of La Quinta Tinta used to be the main commercial and residential area of Santa Eufrasia. Santa Eufrasia only began major expansion eastward towards the sea in 1890. The area is served by Autopista 12 (Highway 12)

    mosaic30copyet7.jpg

    Night pic as usual

    mosaic31copyyu6.jpg

Torre Sonora, Santa Eufrasia's tallest residential building, an ambitious project costing the government some $250 million and described by the President of the Republic Antonio Lasséc as "the New Age in affordable housing", currently housing over 2500 thousand people, it was built on the south bank of the River San Martín and very close to the main commercial district of the city. The project was completed in 2003 and has brought major investement to a declining residential area. The tower was built on the flattest section of the Aragón Mountain Range, a protected National Natural Reserve (RNN).

I wasn't thinking on showing this but Iliked so much that I thought I might well show it. it's one of my favourite shots ever.

This is a personal favourite, I really like it. I'm sure you can spot some wealthy residential areas as well.

    Low wealth residential areas

This is what the government likes to call "affordable housing", lol

    affordablehousingcopynj1.jpg

    affordablehousing1copyci5.jpg

And now here's the teaser I promised

    mosaic41teaserwr6.jpg

That's all for now, i hope you enjoy it and for the next update I have something much better prepared. I just had to show residential areas today because that was the only material I had in my album.

    Thank you10.gif.

    Affordable Housing \o/

I liked that building that fits 2.500 people in it. Most of my town could fit in it!

That teaser looks like an industrial port of some sort. I love my industrial ports so im looking forward to it. If its not an industrial port well i'll probably enjoy it anyway 3.gif

Hello again. So are the concil members old? I hope they have comfy chairs.

About the pics I think the first teaser will be a seaport. The update was great too. Nice use of trees, highways, and HSR. You rly use HSR. I like the fact that you showed the same pics over and over from different angles and at different times of day.

That last picture is getting a little section of this comment for its selve. Amazing. Fantastic. The fact taht you screwed it up makes it better. My favorite parts are the bridges but everything looks great!
