You can read up on these as they are listed in the SC manual.. Also you can "hover the mouse over" the greyed out picture in the menu and it will tell you how to earn it normally (without UDI or cheats) also of course you can hit "cntrl-x" and enter "you don't deserve it" to release the items..

Actually, it's ctrl+shift+alt+X but yes, that's another way to "earn" it.

Sometimes is better off to do the U-drive mission to get that station because I think that that station doesn't become available no matter you have the requisites or not. EDIT: Hey! wait a minute. The title says "Hydrogen Power" and then you ask for a railroad? Doesn't make sense to me.lol.

By the way, If you play The Sims and then Sim City, make sure you don't hit Ctrl+Alt+Shift+C. It gives you these wierd altitude lines. At least I think that's what they are.

You forgot the most important part..   You MUST BE ABLE TO TURN AROUND at each freight station in order to proceed. I suggest plopping the "U TURN" lots if you insist.. but frankly if you're gonna screw around with this why not just "you don't deserve it" .. one cheat or another cheat.. I used to use the UDI's all the time until I realized how completely boring they are and they made me make loops in all my tracks (which generally is a BAD idea anyways).. Anyways.. that's one man's opinion..

Been playing SimCity4 off and on for a few months now and thought I'd go back in and see where I could take my cities....<br /><br />Last night I had one of my cities meet the requirements for the Hydrogen Plant, so it <strong>can</strong> be done without the missions.<br /><br />K

Yep, if the game works as it should you can unlock all the locked buildings in the game without playing U-Drive it.

You do have to do other bizarre things tho.. they don't "just come".. for example you may have to be inserious debt or losing money hand over fist.. in short to get all the rewards you have to "cheat" in some way.. by cheat I simply mean do odd or bizarre things instead of just operating a good city..
