Wow nice!!

I love HK too... although I have much more experience in Kowloon since the majority of my relatives live there... I've only been to Hong Kong island a few times; road the ding ding car, went to the library, visited one relative's family... didn't do shopping there -- is there shopping there? I know Kowloon is crazy though, wish I was there longer 15.gif Oh well, probably going back again next year 9.gif

There is plenty of Shopping (and much better) in the Island - particularly around Causeway bay it is much more varied and comfortable than Kowloon side and often even cheaper too! Much less touristy (at least than the southern part of Kowloon). Trams are blast! Cheap at set 2 HK$ for any trip too! (although you have to have a change in your pocket all the time) there are greater variety of eating places on the island too (again better quality and cheater, for comparable prices, naturally - you can have a great mean at central for about 20-23 HK$ in Kowloon side (again south of it you'd pay about 10 HK$ more for about the same)

what I've found terribly annoying uis that City Fathers are literally penalize you for crossing Victoria Harbour. Doin so on either bus (through tunnel) or MTR (local metro/underground) adds to your fare about 5 HK$ This time I've stayed on the Kowloon side, but will not repeat same mistake second time. It is totally possible to find hotel on the island side for same or even cheaper in a decent location (like mentioned above Causeway Bay) generally 80

awesome Simfox. I cant wait to go there. I always had a feeling Kowloon was over-the-top. But then again it is the sightseeing place. After spending time in SF (san Fran) even the ruttiest nastiest places were top dollar because of location. So basically you are saying the new 'it' area is across the bay - which they call Victoria Bay - Area? I am guessing the cheap and fun stuff is near Gateway Towers, and Intercontinental Hotel?? I and curious about Tsing Yi.

Bixel: It is just the reverse, the more nearer it gets to the harbourside, the more expensive it gets (the landvalue indicates it), Gateway Towers and Intercontinental Hotel are 5-star tourist spots at the peninsula tip, where all those famous brands are no means to be cheap. If you are interested in cheap and fun stuffs perhaps Temple street or MongKok might suit you more =]

Tsing Yi has nothing much to do with tourism, though there is a large shopping centre just next to the MTR station, but there are loads of much larger malls in Kowloon or HK Island, most of Tsing Yi is just housing estates and more housing estates... Well, I'm sure you'll be interested in those mega-estates!

And it is Victoria Harbour, which there is basically no means of getting through it for free... (unless u swim across it~) the cheapest way of crossing it is by ferry, which is also the most sceneric route

SimFox: you are right! Many of those "guest houses / hostels" are pretty low-standard and poorly monitored, so don't bother to get into them... But for McDonalds, I didn't really noticed the price difference, perhaps I just simply rarely have mcdonalds

Wow! Great shot of the roof there. I had already put in several hours on the roof, but I made some corrections according to the photo. I am getting a little tired tho and I want to wrap this building up to go. So I think this is pretty good for the roof.

Tell me if you want more work on it - but for now this roof is finished.

Seems a little too blue, try desaturaing. I'm eying C0ckatoos building to the left and thinking something similar couldn't hurt. That and I don't know if I'm liking the streaky thing either, I think it would make more sense to have the windows with more independent variation. The frames just don't cover things up well enough for that to work IMO.

Just a side note, but are those windows on the top right supposed to be beige like that? Looks like there's some geometry covering the windows up.

All and all it looks pretty damn good,

I have to agree with Todd here, those windows just don't look right. But other than that (the model, roof, etc) its GREAT!
