Cjah: Those rocks in the water make the shore look realistic. Aside from that, nothing much to see (unless you could see this view horizontally...) but still scenic. 7.5/10.

2ch.net simplayer:

Oh, and realism is also checked, I believe.quote>

Except for pics like this, of course. Anyway, 8/10. StarWars anyone?

Wow I am finally viewing this thread again. I completely forgot about it!

Cjah: 7.5/10. Good enough to post, like you said, but it needs more details!

2ch.net simplayer: 8/10. You need some traffic on the highways. Speaking of highways, where did the second one come from in that picture?

I will post some of mine for ratings once again when I get some free time to do so.

2ch.net simplayer: Nice city, I like the skyscrapers, though that city might not be loved by those that hate light pollution 2.gif, 8/10.

Cjah: Nice region, I like the river, add some foliage and you have a good piece of terraforming, 8/10.

In terms of artistic integrity (we're rating images, after all) I think this is probably the only 10/10 in this thread, although there have been some really nice layouts posted by others.

Also, I'm sorry to ask a ***** question on your thread, but what mod is it that szarkoz used to get those cement embankments going up the side of his roads? My biggest peeve with this game so far is how artificially-raised landscape (flatted by infrastructure) looks so ridiculous among the surroundings with a vertical-wall.

Cjah: Both of you're pics are good and i like you're new region but it's a little rocky. Might find it a little hard to build on 7/10

2ch.net simplayer: I'm not really a big fan of the whole future thing but you kinda made it work. Although some things just look our of place I'll give 7.5/10

Pogo Tribal: I really like this, great selection of nice trees and some cool towers. 9/10

ILL Tonkso: That's kinda easy to do but i really like the trees by the rail line and there's some nice looking houses there so i give 8/10

That picture was not of my doing. I was quoting the maker of that picture and giving him a 10/10 4.gif

Cjah: Region looks very nice and detailed. A closer look at the region would be better if that were possible. 8/10.

PogoTribal (work of ThePeoplesPerson): The foliage, the buildings, the shore, and the pink sidewalks, all make the picture look excellent. 9/10.

ILL Tonkso: Ah yes. A retreat from the commercial and residential high-rises. Looks like a very peaceful community with the river and everything. 8.5/10.

EDIT: Might as well upload an image too.

ILL Tonkso: Nice work, very peaceful, quite realistic too with those trees and the railways that have overhead power cables, both pictures 9/10.

Deever: Well developed and not to repetitive, a good downtown there, 8/10.

ILL Tonkso: Fantastic mosaic! Everything looks perfect, The only thing I would suggest is to change the rail dirt, and fix up those Maxis commercial buildings, They don't go too well with the W2W british buildings in that section of the city. 9/10

Deever: You are getting much better! This is one of my favorites from you so far, Very good looking commercial center, There are less repetive buildings that makes it look much better! The only thing I don't like is the cemetary 8/10

sanantonio: ohhh, looks very interesting, I really like the tunnel and radio/communications tower you put on there, I also like the GLR tracks, I won't rate because I don't think it's finished yet, Hope to see the area in your CJ soon!

Well, Enough ratings, Here is my latest mosaic:

sanantonio: Needs more flare but the transportation system and layout looks interesting. 7/10.

ilikehotdogsalot: Man, I can't beat that (well, I don't plan to). The Venice look always catches the eye. Brilliant work as usual. 10/10.

I name most of my towns based on the cities that I see in games that I love playing (or loved playing for that matter). Here's one of them:

The local Uni, upperclassmen housing, and University Village. One square block with more bars and coffee shops than most states have.

SystemUK: The image looks kinda rough (was it meant to look like that?). Although I like what you've done with the canal. And the area looks very depressed (complement)... Industrial revolution indeed. 7.5/10.

HuskerDude: Looks classy (Tennis courts, fancy housing... Definitely classy). The embankment fits in well too. 8/10.

Yeh, I tried to make it look like an old photo, worn by time.

ilikehotdogsalot: Nice, very peaceful, realistic and well themed, though one police car looks like it is about to fall into the river 18.gif, 9/10.

Deever: Good mosaic, I like the colour choice, and good sea walls and road network, 8/10.

HuskerDude: The portrait style effect really adds to it, i like the canals, fits in well with a industrial theme IMO, 8/10.

HuskerDude: Very nice wall to wall housing, I also like the trees, it fits together well overall, 8/10.

I don't have a screenie today...though I'm always happy to rate and comment. 5.gif

-------------------

Deever-8/10

I like the bridge as well as the way the highway meanders through the city; disappearing from then screen then popping back in. Some of the buildings are a bit repetitive and the blank grass spaces detract from the overall image. Placing some pedestrian tiles over the blank spaces around the cemetary and courthouse would improve that. The mix of architecture and build style gives the city both a modern and older flare

HuskerDude-7.5/10

The picture is definitely repetitives but that is obviously intentional. The multi-leveled terrain gives the screenshot some depth that totally flat cities lose. The main problem seems to be that the picture is devoid of life, probably because all of those buildings are plopped. To get some cars on the road place a few of the Traffic Generator lots in inconspicuous locations. The radio station, tennis courts, ect. add to the University feeling.

jayman68-8/10

I'm not really a fan of zoomed-out shots, simply because alot of detail is lost. Regardless, this city appears to be well done. I like how the downtown is seperated from the suburbs by the highway as well as the diversity of the skyscrapers. Your use of those highway walls is creative and something I haven't seen before. I dislike the mid-rise buildings that look strange among the suburban, single floor homes. Also, the unfinished area at the bottom of the picture detracts from the overall presentation.

definit a 10!! but that's because i saw it at your cj, it's to bad that there are gaps between the pics, not making it a complete pic.
