During my terrain scouting, I encountered an interesting bit of terrain that would make a unique region.

Tomales Bay, California

The location where the San Andreas Fault meets the ocean, and has created a rift. Very intriguing location.

I would like to humbly request a map that focuses on the Northern Kentucky point. I realize there is a map of the Cincinnati region, which includes part of this area, but it is situated in a more northerly fashion. I would like one that includes all of Northern Kentucky's three counties, Boone, Kenton, and Campbell.

The Cincinnati map is just barely outside the range of my hometown.

And if I may, I would also like to humbly request no big city areas. My computer is a bit too slow for that.

Thanks. We all appreciate the work y'all do here!

Well, since I have roamed in everywhere else. Might as well here too.

I like unusual maps and unique landscapes. Seems like the majority posting to the Squad, like more accurate real world maps.

I make my maps using Bryce5.5 terrain editor. billions of possibilities with this powerful editor and making more accurate topographicals than some I have seen on the STEX. My Bryce software and Adobe software, are legal software and registered with the developer.

Do not get me all wrong. I love the Mapp Squad submissions, they are all wonderful artworks!

If you will allow me?

I would like to post some examples of my maps, in a designated thread?

And,...a question.

It says in the Members information thread; members who are in-active for a period of time, will be removed, or something close to that.Is there a specific time period?

Just curious for now. Thank you in advance and any comments are humbly appreciated.

I'm sure we'd love to see some of your maps.

And, no, I don't think there's a specific time period for being considered inactive to the point of being kicked off the Mapp Squad.

Maybe this conversation would be best in it's own thread. 2.gif

Hey everyone,
I just had a great vacationin the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. I was wondering if anyone could make a map of its capital, Colombo. It has many waterways and an ideal spot for a huge harbor.

I'd love to see a huge project. I'd like to see a map of a part of the Italian coast, from Genova to Livorno (about 100x110km!)

Maybe this is a little too enthousiastic, so I've got a plan B:

A map of the Italian coast from Genova to La Spezia. (about 75x35km)

I hope someone can ans wants to make one of these maps for me (and of course for others)!

Emil

I would like to thank MallowtheCLoud and all the other cartographers for the much needed work that they do. Their efforts make Simcity a much more enjoyable game:
'cos lets face , the in-game maps suck.

Keep up the good work, and I hope the map pack comes out soon.

If anyone has the time, I'm looking for an accurate scale map of St. Mary's County, Maryland.

I've managed to use GoogleEarth to come up with the shoreline, but since it's satellite photos, the elevation data is worthless. I'd like the map to range as far:

west to the St. Mary's - Charles County border,
north to Prince Fredrick in Calvert Count,
east to include the shores of Calvert and St. Mary's Counties,
south to a little beyond the tip at Point Lookout in St. Mary's.

If it includes parts of Virginia or the Eastern Shore, that'd be more than fine. It's gonna be a pretty good sized region, but I need room to build. All of the inlets and bays and rivers and streams should make nice building areas though. Depending on how much room there is, I'd be thrilled if it ranged all the way north to Annapolis.

Anyway, I appreciat the help.

Could someone do a 6x6 large cities custom map like this:

<ahttp://img109.echo.cx/img109/2577/image11hw.gif align=baseline>
Where blue is water, light green is flat-ish land (but with some shallow hills), medium green has rolling hills, steep enough to require cuttings for highways using the BRF slope mod, and dark green is steep rolling hills, but not too steep? Ideally the red line indicates a point on the river which can be spanned with a single-span level bridge (this is where my main city would develop).
TIA :-D

This would be a cool map.

Also, what is the status of my map ?
