i love the way you made the tropical look and feel. my advice is maybe you can search the STEX to find a less urban looking hospital.

^^^

depending how well he does throughout the rest of year,he could be in the running for the trixie for best CJ custom graphics(but im definetely not the person to make any sort of comment on that). Its still too early to tell though. And he hasnt done anything with logos or titles or borders like BoerneID and his Broome Country which won last time. Still, it really is excellent and possibly a winner. Looks way better than what im capable of currently. Im gonna follow this one so i can get ideas.

Very very nice. Love the FX you used. Gradients and water reflections look very pleasing aesthetically.

Micah - Haha! I'm always trying to add little things to pictures to make them a little more interesting. I'm honoured to be bookmarked! Thanks.

SpecialEddie - Hmmm. On my Monitor it shows up fine. I find that the original darkness is more like an overcast day. However, having some people not see pictures is no good. No worries though, I've tweaked my lighting settings for night time shots so that they will appear brighter, but still maintain a night look to them. Let me know how you can see them after the next update.

jasperdeman.nl - Thanks. Can't wait to show a region shot, which is coming very soon, I promise 4.gif

jackel.22 - Thanks. I spent a little extra time on it, since a small island by itself wouldn't have been quite as interesting 2.gif

Darmok - Lol, no kidding, thanks

    imcity_4 - I'll see you again soon then 4.gif

rkoz - Thanks. It's a refreshing change from my last 2 regions being a more decidious and coniferous mix.

    Battlecat - Thanks

hamsterTK - Quite a variety of techniques. Depending on the angle/complexity, I use different ways. Once the reflection is on the water, I use a filter or 2, or in the case of the first update, I smudge it to give it a more artistic look. It really depends on what I think suits the scene the best.

jacqulina - Thanks, glad you like the cave!

    Cjah - Thanks

Leech10 - Thanks. Good to see you again. I see you have moved on to a new CJ as well, I'll have to check it out.

    Ynterboy - Thanks alot!

augustachris - I have. I find the STEX is really lacking in Civil service buildings. The only one I've seen is Goober's hospital, which still has quite a large city look to it.

    aleko - Thanks

dgrid - Thanks, its an honour. There's alot of competition out there though in terms of nice overlay graphics and styles.

hamsterTK - I'm looking into adding more graphics. You'll see the journal evolve a bit over the next few pages probably until I'm content with the style.

plasticboy - Thanks. The next update I'll be doing has drawn some heavy inspiration from you journal that I recently saw. I normally shyed away from night pictures, but after seeing what you did with them I decided to give it a shot as well.

GMT- Awesome! Glad you like it so much, and I'll see you back again soon!

Thanks everyone for your comments. Stay tuned for an update tonight showcasing some city shots (finally).

    once moer great pics.

tho they are a little to dark in my oppinion. but this makes, on the other hand, the lightings come out more brilliant.

anyway, great work as usual, and I can't wait for more

Cool update, the 'feel' of the pictures is great, though a little too dark. What is the cheapest way to get a room in one of those hotels!? They look fabulous!

Great night pics, and I noticed a Tim Horton's, best doughnuts bar none! 3.gif

    NO offense to Krispy Kreme.

And fortunately Mr Horton was best at making doughnuts than playing hockey for the Maple Leafs. No disrespect intended, it's just showing that his doughnuts are great!

And yes, the pics are a bit too dark to be fully appreciated.

    Take care!

    yoder7652 - Awesome, thanks!

jackel.22 -  Yeah the things you can do in photoshop is quite amazing.

hamsterTK - Haha, thats funny. When I plopped Timmies, shortly after, the building that was across from it got rebuilt into a Krispy kreme. Totally unplanned, but I made it historic and now they compete for business. Looks like Krispy is more popular with the police 2.gif

    anubis89 - Thanks!

jacqulina - Glad you like the night pics. I find many CJ's avoid night shots.

bat - Glad you liked it.

GMT - I don't know if I can make them much lighter or else the lighting will become washed out. On my monitor they're quite balanced now, and I can make out all the details of even the far off stuff without a problem. I do have a relatively new LCD monitor and a powerful graphics card though, so that could be the reason why.

jasperdeman.nl - They're top of the line hotels, I hope you have the money 2.gif . Some more affordable hotels will be shown down the street. And the region shot is coming, I haven't forgot about it.

Leech10 - Its kinda hard to say how dark they should be like. Like I said to GMT, I can make eveyrthing out perfectly fine. Its too dark if somone can only make out the lights and vehicles or so. I was using a depth of field technique on these pictures, which I'll probably not use again except for shots I want to emphasize something (It worked really well on the first picture IMO, the next 2 I think it was unnecessary). That might allow people to see a little better.

Thanks for your continued support of the CJ! As usual, another update is planned for tonight.

Ok due to popular demand I quickly touched up the last 3 pictures and made them brighter. THis isn't a real update, just trying to get the perfect lighting on these pictures. Let me know how these are.

    Wow, pretty lights!

I can definatly make out the detail on the new versions better than the others.

    Can't wait for more!
