    Update 30

    Journeys of the I-35

The I-35 refurbishment is going smoothly... and we're pleased to report the Sloppet state freeway has opened for service of San Fernandes' outside districts - this'll be good!

    Thehttp://img90.echo.cx/img90/6666/nealos101update30000009ms.jpg align=baseline>
30.1 The picturetesque Freeway Bridge - set in the centre of the production of the local river within Easter Basin.

The Freeway junctions off the I-35 during the wowing central view... you keep driving on the I-35 you may get to San Fernandes more quickly... but you'll miss this spectacular sight.

    Thehttp://img90.echo.cx/img90/2286/nealos101update30000012wo.jpg align=baseline>
30.2 A closer look at the Bridge; and the central island in the main river junction.

This freeway was constructed during the maintenance phase of the I-35 back near Hoober Dam; it's new and it's beautiful and at this moment in time it remains empty.  Don't worry - it'll begin to get packed very soon!

    Ahhttp://img90.echo.cx/img90/9425/nealos101update30000029od.jpg align=baseline>
30.3 The I-35 of the future... bright and early in the day, ready for the rushing Las Ventura<>San Fernandes Traffic.  Brillance is nothing... The I-35 is everything.

    Thehttp://img90.echo.cx/img90/7430/nealos101update30000033ni.jpg align=baseline>
30.4 The major I-35 tolls - marking the new juristiction for the state.  Technically the I-35 is now in San Fernandes hands, but we won't let the I-35's maintenance plans go until we get to the Golden Gate.

The current tolls bring in thousands per day - however capacity is being reached with harsh consequences.  Our solution? Expand it like the above shown!

    Skyviewhttp://img90.echo.cx/img90/5376/nealos101update30000041sc.jpg align=baseline>
30.5 The I-35 now.  This includes the Sloppet Freeway still under construction a few weeks ago.

The I-35 is doing well - all is glad to hear, and the I-35 itself is reachign it's near edge of the Los Porablos border line.  San Fernandes juristiction... we never thought it would come so soon... We're paying millions to keep the plans in Los Porablos until we reach the Golden Gate - phar!

    Thehttp://img90.echo.cx/img90/7080/nealos101update30000055gw.jpg align=baseline>
30.6 Jacob & Ashville Heights - good from helicopter - exciting from boat.  Take both when visiting!

Planning refusals are everywhere - we're not sure whether to allow more housing estates to be built or to let the thugs back at Las Ventura build casinos... In mountains? Are you kidding? There will be a poll on areas like this...

    Thanks for all the comments!

sloppet: Thanks! where are you going?

    jacqulina: Thanks again.

More updates coming soon - any comments will be appreciated!

Don't worry about the lack of comments - loads of people 'round here (including me) prefer to look rather then post. But, seeing as you were disheartened, I posted.

    Update 31

San Fernades Home Straight! (Journeys of the I-35)

Ladies and gentlemen, this is it... we have reached San Fernandes Juristiction.  City Hall is VERY excited with the completed planning project; and as a result, we can now finish our jobs without worring about moving everything about again! So... here's our final photos of the San Fernandes Home straight...

    Thehttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/3475/nealos101update31000004wz.jpg align=baseline>
31.1 The current bridge had collapsed while we were surveying it! Everything had to be shut down... traffic diverted and people calmed down.  A few minor injurys - we got everyone off the bridge before it collapsed.

This small incident has put us on hold for good... A serious safety issue with bridges? Hell - we had to deal with it, and we did...

    Thehttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/2161/nealos101update31000019zf.jpg align=baseline>
31.2 The former bridge was a large structure... it towered over the hills over the golden river like the Georgetown watergate. (Long time to go till we see that one!)

As a result, we changed the levels and built some lowering areas of the Interstate.  The Bridge will be supported more securly and people will be able to see the fantastic views more clearly... Few...

    Acrosshttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/2281/nealos101update31000025tq.jpg align=baseline>
31.3 Across the river, the Interstate claims rule to a small inlet - with it's only communication line a off-shore wind turbine and a ferry port.  With the development, the I-35 will serve this inlet properly.

The Interstate draws close to you-know what...

    Anotherhttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/8673/nealos101update31000033bv.jpg align=baseline>
31.4 Another bridge crossing a small valley - all it needs is a respray and a re-sharpen.  The Interstate isn't the best draw-on item to contend with in the mountains, but like the I-30, we can do it!

Our plans still conincide with San Fernades juristiction...

    Thehttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/1470/nealos101update31000045dy.jpg align=baseline>
31.5 The Golden Gate! Voilla! The I-35 here needs a new paint job... and a new systematic traffic program such as a toll booth or a subway... Toll Booth!

As always, we have the large bends...

The picture is too large, to see it, click here .

31.6 Traffic accidents are at a plus - but they still show us some problems...

The views from an airplane are still oddly skewey when heading towards San Fernandes, but it's still backed up by this incredable view:

    Viewhttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/7229/nealos101update31000073xx.jpg align=baseline>
31.7 You can clearly see the bridge over the Golden River...

Villages and towns are due to develop on this coastline, but for now, we're sticking to the maintenance budget... Development is up to San Portello City Governers.

    Thehttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/8332/nealos101update31000089tk.jpg align=baseline>
31.8 Being part of the public advisory council, I really enjoy the network as a whole...

The more the major cities develop, the more towns & villages you'll hear about... One of which is set to become a city (None of the famous four, though.) It's called Peterborough.

    Thehttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/1972/nealos101update31000092dq.jpg align=baseline>
    31.9 Ah, an airplane shoot...

We think it's lovely without the Bobinator Financial district... but spectacular with it... so let's get hasty and introduce you to the city shall we?

    Alcatrazhttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/3069/nealos101update31000103gw.jpg align=baseline>
31.10 Sorry - no city pics yet - haven't built anything yet silly!

The city is going to be in bloom in the next update - plus we'll show you the terraforming involved... lets hope it fills with realistic standards (roughly).

    Ahttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/899/nealos101update31000119os.jpg align=baseline>
31.11 Perhaps not the prettyiest little village... but it's good for the travelling population of simnation.

One more picture before we finish...

    Ahttp://img95.echo.cx/img95/9392/nealos101update31000121bc.jpg align=baseline>
31.12 This junction is here for show... just to remind you of how things are with regards to connections... good, we say...

That's all for the I-35! We'd like to thank:

    • San Portello Governer's Office
    • Los Porablos City Hall
    • San Fernandes City Hall
    • The I-35 restoration project managers
    • And of course, you the public.
Thanks for the comments during the life of the interstates I-30 and I-35... what a success! You guys kept me going!

    First MAJOR update.

    Keep the comments rolling in...

...San Fernandes is on the horizon...

    Sanhttp://img285.echo.cx/img285/8747/nealos101update32000008ns.jpg align=baseline>

    Update 33

    San Fernandes grows

San Fernandes is growing gradually... I think I need to alter my production patterns a little; we'll start developing the other areas first! But here's the promised pictures...

    The
33.1 The home of the Fernandes Froggers, the Bobinator Financial District.

It's really jobs at the moment, people require homes, so in the next update San Fernandes will have exploded westward along the small lake.  Hopefully by then, the Financial District will start to boom.  Right now it's chugging poorly but strongly.

    The
33.2 The Bay Bridge and the Railway Bridge are ready, at least a thousand commuters use them both to get to the industry across the shore.

On the Bobinator Freeway meanwhile, at least 7,000 vehicles pass through it!

    Better
33.3 A better view of the stadium.  The marinas serve at least twelve dozen tourists per month, and fill the river with all sorts of vessel.

    The
33.4 The Bay Bridge transport linkadge - two freeways inter-connect on this cloverleaf, servicing lots of commutes either going on the bridge or just making a detour onto the other freeway.

The network is stabilizing, the main subway routes have been placed... the district needs to grow properly now!

    Heavy
33.5 All of the commuters on this one-way road bay area enjoy taking this road, even if it is backlogged at times.

People on the ferry have it good, as they can get from here all the way to Los Porablos without having to get off!

    Bank
33.6 A good thing about the financial district is that it is strong in the battle against the elements of economy - already those tower blocks make the district look like London... a few more developments and it'll be present-Fernandes style!

The Transamerican Pyramid is abandoned 27.gif but - as an idencator of how the district is doing, if it isn't abandoned, you'll know the district is doing well... If not and it is... well... you get the idea...

    Thehttp://img273.echo.cx/img273/3986/nealos101update33000065eq.jpg align=baseline>
33.7 One thing is for certian; it's easier on the eyes than before.  Yeah, westerly, you'll see some terraced housing tracks creeping up and then the skyscrapers (Hopefully).

The network is sustainable (I think) and is working it's way to success, the tram network is the rail line - servicing a total of 13,000 commuters per rush hour!!!!!! Yippeee!

    Thehttp://img91.echo.cx/img91/4528/nealos101update33000071hh.jpg align=baseline>
33.8 San Fernandes International airport... just one of the premade Maxis strips - the Airport across the bay will be the stunner!

The only conjested roads (Beleivably) is the one-way road you saw earlier and some of the onramps onto the freeways.  Also, one avenue is usually packed, but that's nothing compared to what it will be when those skyscrapers start to appear!

Thanks for the comments - look forward to more!

For now im afraid, Im off to bed.

    See yaz!

    Update 34

    San Fernandes Memorial Park

    Thehttp://img277.echo.cx/img277/3456/nealos101update34000005su.jpg align=baseline>
34.1 Here it is - the State's Memorial Park - The San Fransisco Memorial.

State Governers had erected this site many years after the Future Wars (Probably Next CJ) which crushed a brilliant nation called America into dust.  San Fransisco was one of the many countless cities struck by a nuclear bomb and a futuristic UFO attack.  We asked Dr Vu at Area 5.1 whether he had any idea but before he even answered... He vanished.  Suspicious...

    Thehttp://img277.echo.cx/img277/7863/nealos101update34000014vj.jpg align=baseline>
34.2 Shamefully, everything was destroyed.  And when San Fernandes built on the ruined site, many state officials decided that it was time to rebuild the Sutro Tower.  Their first sight was too hill, while the next was too shallow, but finally, this site accomidated for all.

    Thehttp://img277.echo.cx/img277/8389/nealos101update34000024od.jpg align=baseline>
34.3 Nothing survivied the 100 years war, but as Los Porablos developed, so did San Fernandes.  The memorial itself was the dedication the troops of San Fransisco fighting for it at the very last moment... Their souls resting in peace... their dignity still safe... The Future Wars Over.

The Future Wars last 100 years, cutting off all technology, destroying everything man worked for.  Every major city in the world either began to rot or was nuked... One survivor, the City of Bay View, will tell the story of the future wars and the struggle between three major cities on the planet.  When this reigon is finished and stories complete - get ready for the Future Wars!

    Toohttp://img277.echo.cx/img277/787/nealos101update34000033zd.jpg align=baseline>
34.4 The main memorial.  This is where the story of the Future wars begin... and finish.  We beleive the last person to be beried here was a fore-named Eddie Porablos...

The park services the population very well - don't forget to check out those Old Chinatown buildings that stood during the nuclear attack - they are a serious asset to the histories!

    Thehttp://img277.echo.cx/img277/8615/nealos101update34000048zn.jpg align=baseline>
34.5 The Park and it's housing tracks now - notice snow-capped peaks are starting to develop... good idea? Bad idea? Tell us and we'll melt them!

    Ahttp://img277.echo.cx/img277/8114/nealos101update34000056js.png align=baseline>
34.6 The snow-capped peaks that will come into effect - we need your imput on this people - you'll see this everywhere on the rockerfellers eventually remember!

    Sanhttp://img277.echo.cx/img277/7785/nealos101update34000061dg.jpg align=baseline>
34.7 The Future Wars can't hold down a good city forever.  The memories move on...

Update 34 and soon onto the sixth page!

Thanks again people - we need feedback on those snowy peaks - bad idea/good idea?
    Any comments will be appreciated!

    Thanks, Nealos.

I say flatten that area, but then I don't really build mountains. The peak does look out of place though.
