    Marrast Fincial District Develops!

In an unexpected turn of events - the downtown area, Marrast Finacial, has built over 16 skyscrapers in a matter of months due to powerful pushes in the economy within Los Porablos and the newest construction, Los Porablos central station.  Officials are coming in from around the world to rate this exploding joy of wonders as the buildings pop up one by one on Metropolitan Streets.

    Traffichttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Marrast%20Financial.JPG align=baseline>
Los Porablos' income is set to soar with prices shooting up daily; with jobs spurting from McDonald's Full Time Managers to Corporate Executive at Langly & Sons.  Anybody who's anybody will have to visit this majestic area to lavish in all styles of excellence.
    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//The%20Marrast%20Cathedral.JPG align=baseline>
In other news, gnag-bangs and driveby shootings have increased just outside of downtown.  The board of governers insist that there is no risk to the public from street gangs but crime is slowly doubling as the downtown area gets taller.  The Cathedral is the only safest place to hide from such acts of violence.
    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//TrainYard.JPG align=baseline>
The large train yard is in full service, with trains running through it 20 hours a day, 7 days a week.  A typical track configuration shows that every engine that passes through here has either come from, stopped at or will be going to the Central Station.  The overpass is conjested and on a light day a person such as a daily commuter could get out of their car and watch the trains run past; wishing they were on one.  Three of the five run-up rails are conjested themselves, too.  The other two are getting packed the more Los Porablos develops.  Thankfully the service line is still empty.
    The
Once the train yard becomes packed and cetral station over-loaded, the second alternative, driving, will come into play when the Milwalkie Intersection opens it'slast two lanes (Currently being resurfaced).  This highway viaduct already services 8,000 cars per working hour, and the paving is getting shabby.
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//San%20Portello.jpg width=500 align=baseline>
San Portello today.  Total population now exceeds 500,000.  That is Los Porablos alone and it is barely half completed.  This city will be the 2nd longest city to create, as it is larger and the first (No RCI requirements to start from).  But she's getting there, the new downtown area is that large clump northrly of the towns.  I'll take a proper picture and post it on the next update.

*Los Porablos population Estimated to be 1.5 million residents. 2nd Longest time to create
*Las Ventura population Estimated to be 1 million. 1st Longest (As there are Casinos to be made)
*San Fernandes population Estimated to be 2.5 million. 3rd Longest time to create (It's simple build, expand and develop)
*Georgetown estimated to be 2.5/3 million. 4th Longest (Unknown precisely, but hopefully just easy steps of one, two and three!)

Los Porablos' next step is to expand around downtown back to the beaches, and then to the port. (This'll be a fun one).  The Los Porablos International Airport will be situated in that hump sticking into the second river - it will be there were we pack our bags and fly to San Fernandes.  Unless of course you would like to take an alternate route?

I now! How about a vote?

1* We go to the airport; quick, no hassel and there in a jiffy.
2* We take the Interstate route - I30 change at I35 and straight on over Golden Gate (Traveller's Tales).
3*We take the train. (Traveller's Tales).
    4*We take a boat. (Traveller's Tales).

Up to you! Thnx again for all the comments.

Hey every1! Chinatown is having some troubles developing (Uploader didn't include links to dependancies or any files relating to them). If anyone knows where I can find the following asian wall I would be greatful.

    nuigh.JPG

These are either props or textures and yes I'm using the building above - I just can't find the wall props or textures...

This will hopefully be the first gang headquaters to pop up - The Portello Triad (5.gif).  This nutorious gang ignores the benefits of drug traffic and money-laundering, but they are more interested in the brutal subject of immegration & illegal slave employment - as they are the biggest illegal immigration corporation in the nation, the police still do not have enough power to stop this blood-thirsty trade.  The heroric police officers that died fighting for a greater cause against this ferocious clan of human-theives died unjustly, and in the main story of San Portello, they are remembered with justice.

But the Triad does have it's benefits... The social and economic balance that is gangster heaven is controlled by the Uptown Mafia, and if they are allowed to grow, the city of Los Porablos will see the biggest gang-war in history.  The Triad are the main enemies of the Mafia and they pose a great threat to them if they remain free on the streets.  It's this fear of each other that keeps the two rivalries and more 'niaeve' gangster clans in balance - but should one find out the other's weakness... There goes the neigborhood.

This will be Los Porablos' first major gang.  Other local gangs to pop up soon will be:

The West Side Brawlers (30.gif)- South African/South Americans - pose a poor threat to Los Porablos security - specialise in money-laundering and drug-traffic... very rare gun fights between rival gangs.  They fear & respect the Triads but hate the East Side Blues.  Often seen in light jeeps or the odd Nissan.

Chinchilla Cuban Extremists (28.gif) specialise in drugs, love to steal the odd banger and muscle - not to be messed with unless you are the: Mafia, East Side Blues or the SWAT teams from the LPPD.  Tend to ignore the comman folk - they concentrate on the aggrivating millionares, the Triads and the woman-frightening streakers.  They love cruising in Ford Mustangs.

No pics for today folks! I'm really tired; but maybe tomorrow when England is about to go to sleep (11:00).  I'll concentrate pictures on the beaches and the downtown areas, as they're the prettiest and most important at this time.  Thanks again peeps.

    Nealos101.

*P.S. Next update will also show the developer's guide to: Sculpting the Rockerfeller Mountians - an I30 Story.

    Preview:

'Engineers are pleased to announce that the I30 interstate has made it's first tunnel in the Rockerfeller mountians, our bore team will be resting for a short time as unexpectadly, a dead end has been presented to us.  However, as there is a gorge not too far away... We decide to build a bridge in the mountains!' (Pic unavailable at this time - stay tuned to see it!)

Mafia Stirs as Triad Colonisation suspected

    A

The Chinatown Times, Thursday April 14th.

With the newest revamp to Chinatown, Mafia mob bosses and clan leaders are starting to wonder about Chinatown's existance within the city.  It's proven the Mafia are resposible for last night's killings but this new breed of gangster are swarming in by the dozen every day.  The clansmen themselves are Chinese or Asain background, driving a big SUV/Small Lorry - the first problem they forged was a small backlash agaisnt a retired Mafia Mob boss, Al Cappichino, destroying his italian resturant not too far away from where this truck was sighted.  Reports are still sketchy and pictures of Chinatown have been burned at this time by the Tri-Da Laundrette (The busienss claims pictures will curse it, and therefore it will loose it's customers). We agree with them.

The Mafia still refuses to admit claims that it owns this tower within the Marrast Financial district, even though Al Cappichino's resturant is just across the road from it.  The store is back in business after a day of renevation, and the owners refuse to comment on the recent attack; however police witnesses are sure they saw a Triad Laudry van speed away from the scene towards Chinatown.

    The

Ah, the beauty of luck.  The first picture was sheer brilliance.  I chose that truck to be the Triad Runaround, taking protection & slave money back to chinatown.  It was simple luck that it was going towards Chinatown! lol.  No serious pictures of Chinatown though (Even though the Triads are living large in Marrast financial) Territories are being set up as you read this update and soon it'll be clear the police have a situation in their hands.  The big Triad headquaters will be in San Fernandes - in a big hotel or skyscraper.  I don't know where to place the Mafia just yet, the big green building is just a business paying for protection.  The resturant is a likeable plot for the Mafia at the moment - I'm going to put the big bosses in Limos and the gangsters in all cars black.
    Chinatown
Chinatown exists - but the main Triad hotel doesn't look healthy at this time.
    Transportation
Downtown Transportation Map.  Noticed how crammed the streets get the closer you are to the centre...

    The
The two hotels that have branches in Los Ventura - these hotels are favoured by the rich and elegant, including the Mafia mob bosses and ganglords.
    Police
Takign the El Train into downtown? expect the train to be stopped, checked and then checked again.  Security is tight on the transport and no mob boss will pass through freely without a get out of jail free card.
    Central
The Central Station in all of it's glory.  It's made a good day's work and all of the commuters have already gone home or are at work.  Trains don't run for another hour.  However, today is a very special day... in 30 minutes all lines will be stocked up to the full with Footie and Baseball fans out to see the biggest games in history.  The Porablos Penguins Vs The Georgrtown Gaffers (Football Match - Penguins set to win - game will be tonight; book your seats people!) And the Porablos Pandas vs the Ventura Vipers (Baseball for two great teams, the match will be tomorrow night book now and recieve a free Porablos Pandas T-Shirt and Signature Baseball!).

The SimIdiot Memorial Stadium - Home of the infamous Los porablos Penguins.  Matches here are exclusive on television and live on Channel 885.  The SimIdiot memorial stadium pays tribute to a truely great man, that saved the world from an evil space alien called the Watchinator and with it's scattered parts - created the great nation of Eternia! Heads bow in a minute's silence in the country's memory every time there is a match.
    The
    Los Porablos Central Stadium
A massive centralplex of magnificance - this modern wonder is a sight to behold every time there is a match and beleive me, this match will be worth a watch! Not too long ago a man by the name of Eddie Porablos found out his last name was the name of this great city - so he tried with all of his might to clean up this town and make it new again... He failed miserably when the Mafia caught up with him in Georgetown after he was discovered. Naturally, he's sleeping with the whales. 2.gif This Stadium will remember him... somehow...

    Los Porablos reaches International Shores!

During the mayor's week-long excursion to London (Very good) Los Porablos continues to develop under supervision of City Hall.

    Newhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//San%20Portello.JPG width=1023 align=baseline>
Los Porablos has a new skyline - the major port that has been constructed.  At this moment in time it looks quite the sight... an ugly sight - but which port isn't? The residential areas are all but run down and the police are having a hard time controlling the gang wars spuring up in the main port island.  City Hall officials are unsure of the port itself needs to be closed down or if, like many cases, we should let the mob run things as they always seem to keep a low profile anyway.
    Uncle
As a low-key gesture, the mob have allowed the army to station themselves at the port as well.  Some say this can lead to an increased number of break-ins (Especially at the base) and sometiems even Apache hyjacks.  However, army officials insist:

'If the Mafia Bosses try anything funny, we'll blow their brains out.'

A recent poll shows Uncle Sam seems to be becoming a big celebrity in the gangster world.  Quite frankly, we don't blame them: Army territory spans from the island fork right to where the actual base is and the mob are considering moving to a more Unsecure location.  We hope the Triads secure their port before the eyes of the mobsters sets upon it.

Here's an overview of the island port:

    Thishttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//BigPort.JPG align=baseline>
This port is full of dirty industry; a perfect for mobsters to chew their way through the industrial fabric.  Mafia representatives identify uncle sam as a bunch of hard, witty and overgrown cheapscates, and are claiming to not only move their freight industry somewhere else, but are also considering moving their resturant division elswhere to some more 'jackpotty' locations...
    Triadhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//PortOfLosPorablosInOperation.JPG align=baseline>
Whilst the mob grab their luggadge and heavy machine-guns, the traid reinforce their business by dealing with Uncle Sam in a very witty way...

They proposed that if they allow their freight to be exported to China, the Triad will offer Uncle Sam free entry to the Big Fat Stonking Jackpot casino set up across San Portello in Ventura.

Naturally, they agreed and freight imports/exports are doing well.
    Lighthttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//TriadBigWigHouse.JPG align=baseline>
Think that isnt enough? Well, with this new deal Uncle Sam may choose to opt out of the deal and do some nasty things to Triad freight, but if that happens, there goes all the other Uncle Sam business as well.  You see, the port is surrounded by a strange reef, limitign all ships to the lanes within the river esturary.  A very risky procedure for freight commuters it has been, so the Triads 'Kindly' set up this lighthouse to help the ships navigate away.  But cleverly enough, an old Triad Bigwig works there and if anything should go wrong with trade, there goes half the freight on board the RMS Titanic bound for the bottom of the esturary.

The Triads can be very mean when they want to be.  You are either on their side, a simple civilian or just dead... basically.

If you look closely at the reigon pic, you can see the expansion for downtown is looking very shabby.  This is due to City Hall messing up with the press and allowing the Mob and the Triads to start biting at each other again.  People moved out quicker than Uncle Sam who stationed themselves within the city to calm the area.  Fortunately, half the buildings knocked down were abandoned long ago...

    News on the big games:

The Penguins beat the Gaffers 2-0 at Football.  Frankie Delanco was sent off after shouting abuse at the referee about his mother sleeping with the whales after the match.  Both goals scored strangly during halftime when both sides decided not to have a coffee break, as one side wanted burgers and the other Italian.  A truely magnificant match.

The Pandas and the Vipers didn't even kick off.  No ball was hit by any Ventura bat neither did any Panda glove catch any slugged baseball.  Reports are still sketchy, but some said the Viper's bat was disqualified as it had too much gold hanging from it - the Pandas were blinded by the light it reflected.  Fairly... it was a draw.  A truely disastrous match.

Police: Neither side quarrelled after the games - in fact, all four sides fled back home because the clut classic 'Dude, where's my machine gun?' was playing.  No murders.  No car crime.  No streakers.  No tee-peeing.  Hell - the cops could sleep at night for once in their life!

    Los Porablos reaches 1,000,000!

In a great frenzy of tourists and new neighbors, Los Porablos reaches the big Jackpot of 1,000,000 sims! The city itself has seen some serious recent developments and we are glad to announce city hall has done very well managing the red tape.  Here's the overview:

    Loshttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Los%20Porablos%20Big%20Score.JPG align=baseline>

Everyone is very happy - the transportation network was united as one today as well when the port of Los Porablos heralded the major junction attaching the SimGoober Freeway and the Central Freeway:

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Los%20Porablos%20Transportation%20Stage%2010.JPG align=baseline>
In other news, Chinatown is getting it big with the major Hotel now, with Triad bigwigs.  The tower below is the main Triad Hotel Complex that is making it big:
    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Triad%20Tower%20Complex.JPG align=baseline>
The Hotel has made development spawn into serious action, making everything build up quicker than you can say Triad world.  We here at City Hall are showing some serious attention to the recent Triad activity - we don't know whether to post some more cops or concentrate on more promising areas like Marrast or the port!
    Triadhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Triad%20Apartment%20Skyline.JPG align=baseline>
Triad corporations have set up large towers to house their illegal immagrants.  Quite frankly we insist the cleanup orperation downtown to be moved to here but the construction company involved has deals with the Triad, so we're basically stuck for words here... We feel the Triads have already established a leathal foothold...

    Dealhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//ChinaTown%20Cnetral.JPG align=baseline>
Central Chinatown is the heart of the Triad Business.  Everything that happens out in the world rocks right here in Chinatown central.  The Triad's trucks are everywhere here and as a poor effort to kill our society, they produce fake banknotes to cheat their way to the top.  With the smog rating hitting an all-timke high, Los Porablos is swarming with secret clans afraid to come out from hiding.  The Triads have no idea what to think of these 'backwater bodies,' but us here at city hall think the expected city riots will happen soon...

We'll keep you posted on Triad business.  Look for a small article every update about Triad dealings/franchises.  Here's a recent one:

Triads bomb Haitan gun Clan Apartment Complex!
    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Port%20Downtown%20Big%20Fire.JPG align=baseline>
Triad dealings today are phenomenaly low as the city districts settle down for a good sleep.  However, with a recent gun attack on a Triad smuggler house, the Triads park one of their mysterious laundry vans beside a Haitan apartment complex in the early hours of this morning and set the damn thing into a huge bomb! One Lama and one Haitan clan member had to be sent to hospital.  Firecrews were fighting the aftermath blaze well after the Triad lunchbreak (When Laundry vans sease to move about). The police are looking into the crime.

    Downtownhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Marrast%20Financial%20and%20Downtown.JPG align=baseline>
Triads and Haitans... they don't give up.  The Haitans are beleived to be stationed east of this picture towards the big industry.  The Triads have sent out a pretty warning signal and if thigns get too bad, we could see a massive, widespread gangland attack on anything decent and freindly.  Who will come to our rescue? Who can save us?

    Los Porablos: A Gangster's Review

    Part 1 - Mafia Troubles

Al Cappichino was a good guy, one of the family.  We trusted him with our life; it was a pity that those Triad bigshots hat to rat him out when we needed him the most.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//TriadBigWigHouse.JPG align=baseline>
Al Cappichino liked islands very very much; I remember one day him tellin' me:

Don Spaghetti, you gonna win back the port from those Uncle Sam creeps before I die?

I simply answered; Sure thing boss, whatever the family wants, I gets.

    That's a good Don.

So, after that brief conversation, I go about getting back the family's main business of the port of Los Porablos.

    Nothttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//BigPort.JPG align=baseline>
It was a simple task to favour, as the Uncle Sam pikes didn't know what hit em'.  After regaining the trust of the local port family, I set about going back to Cappicho and taking him to the new island we have.

    This is truely an acheivement.

    He said.

But what about that little island with the lighthouse?

I say it's not up for rent.  He didn't understand dat the Triad were sleeping there, and with our business controlling the Port, they weren't very happy with our recently aquired prize. However, Al Cappichino ignored this warning, and him and his Russian freinds have themselves a picnic with 44's and Tommys.  Dey killed twelve Triad officials for one, stupid smuck-off island!

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Mafia%20Big%20Business.JPG align=baseline>
As a sign of respect for Al Cappichino, I place myself within the mafia's luxorious freen hotel across the street from Cappichino's resturant.  I watched over him night and day until I dozed off.  Very stupid move.  The Triad blacksters came for Cappichino, and blew his resturant like an overloaded Christmas tree.

So i run down the stairs across the boulevard into Cappichino's wasted spot, and I find a note swearing that if we don't hand over the port to Chinatown Laundry, Cappichino will go to jail.  In my anger, I grab a couple of guys and head to the place...

    Wehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//ChinaTown%20Cnetral.JPG align=baseline>
We took the freeway all the way there and had a party of our own with the local business.  3 buildings smashed and 4 punks dead - Cappichino safe in our car.  The pigs were on our tail by nightfall, and the family business was surrounded by them.  We needed a place to stay, and some kid by the name of Ed Porablos let us stay in his clan's house in exchange for the location of the Triad business - we told them the spot and thought nutin of it.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101SouthsideGreensHideOut.JPG align=baseline>
When it was daybreak, we set about regaining our strength and confronting the Triad bigwig, who supposedly was hiding in our own business, the Green Hotel.  Day came, we thanked Ed and his gangster freinds and left them without a word of advice or warning.  We head for the Green Hotel.
    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101MafiaGreenHotel.JPG align=baseline>
After a long gunfight, we had the place back, and the cops didn't do squat.  However, into the early hours of the next day, Triad thugs pay us a visit with Uncle Sam...

In a pointless struggle, Al Cappichino runs for the backalley of his resturant, but is confronted by the Cuban Extremists.  They took Cappichino, stashed them in one of their pickups and flew all the way back to Green Territory, within their drughouse.
    Cubanshttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101CubanDrugHouse.JPG align=baseline>
We chased a van that was late with the convoy and in minutes we were at the drughouse.  It was a mess of a sight.

Triad, Haitan, Greens and Russian Mafia mobsters were laying seige to the fortress, whilst battling their enemies for Cappichino.  The Triads broke through first, leaving a trial of death, and kidnapped Cappichino to the local police station.  Reports are not too clear, but Cappichino is being shipped to San Fernandes where our quest for Cappichino will continue in San Fernandes' story Part 1.

Part 2 will introduce the Greens.

    MAFIA CRIMEWAVE SILENCED!

    Chinatown Times, Saturday April 30th.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//MafiaHumVee.JPG align=baseline>
After a huge bust up thanks to the LPPD, FBO and CPD, the Mafia crime bosses (Including Al Cappichino) have been forced out of our great city of Los Porablos! We beleive they are still San Portello but clues are still sketchy.  The serious action was discovered when, a huge collection of Hum-Vees and trucks were stolen from a Local Army base.  We beleive the suspect vehicles were painted to hide their other identies, with licence plates added for added protection.

We have also noticed the shoking crime waves from Mafia-related incodents have severly decreased in the past few weeks.  Was it simple mistake to populate their masses in LP? Did the Triad colonies rat out their corporative success? Did the LPPD finish their dealings and shut down their stores? Who knows.  The big, sprawling Mafia business in Los Porablos has finished, but close clan gangs are following.  All that is left is their Russian brothers, guarding important areas of the city which make the local business 'remember' the Los Porablos Mafia.

Reports are still sketchy on the Al Cappichino case, but when Al Cappichino was force-moved out to another city, the whole gang central seemed to go with him.  We suspect a single 'mole' in this case (STORY LINK!), who ratted out the Mafia's location to local gangs, the Triads and the cops - and we fear for his future to this date - and basically drew them to beleive a serious uprising.

Good riddance.  Normal citizens in Los Porablos have one less mobster to worry about... for now...

Updates will be back to normal hopefully in a few days - Serious Internet problem.  Reigon pick to follow - Los Porablos has passed the big 1 Million!

    Los Porablos: Update 12

    Los Porablos City Surveyors

    Takenhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//LosPorablosUpdate12.JPG align=baseline>

    Overview:

    Population: 1,089,423

City Rating: 7.8 (Good growing metropolis, but still has sufficient room for improvement)

Commercial Opinion Polls: 75% of Office workers find driving in Los Porablos a breeze, 15% dislike the weather.

Residential Opinion Polls: 99.9% of Residents complain about the smog, 8% dislike living in the East Coast.

Action Required: Better schools, parks, a central airport and perhaps an expansion towards the hills.

    Journal

'We do this every year, and over and over again we have to study local residents' opinions and views.  Then we take pictures and receive feedback from city hall (After processing sixty miles of red tape).  The same old boring procedure...

    'Why me... ?

    'The central district...

Downtownhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//LosPorablosDowntownUpdate12.JPG align=baseline>You can navigate from the major train yard which is central station (Like a quake fualt in the landscape of skyscrapers).

'Next... City Hall's recent developments - new Flood Canals and Transport Network:

'The overseen problem of the shallow main river was causing serious problems when considering flooding, and the port population had enough of wading through flooded streets.  So, by act of city hall, the city built the canals...

Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//LosPorablosFloodCanals.JPG align=baseline>Pressure & current isolated at this main point - a perfect system describes a 50% decrease in water pressure & current, therefore reducing the risk of flooding by 50%.  Once the water passes into the bridging viaduct (Stem into the beacheads), presurre is then cut by another 25% (relative to the entry pressure), which basically means there is a 75% chance of flooding in Los Porabloas' main river.

'We'd like to thank the Board of Transport for Submitting this final picture...

Smallhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//AirportOnTheCanal.JPG align=baseline>The main Canal neautraliser (Orton Point), takes care of pressure & current from the streams by meshing them together and turning both values against each other.

'Here's an example of how it works:

Left Stream Pressure - Right Stream Pressure = Input Potential Pressure

'Without this equation, the flood canals would basically overflow with the backlog stress put onto the Orton Point entry point.  The equation is active from bridge point all the way to that same entry point.  All very consufing, but it works. Report Ends.'

Ahh! Yeah - that canal took most of my update time - especially fighting the reconcile tool.  Close-up pictures to follow shortly.

    Orton Point Housing Assosiates

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update13OrtonPointHousingEstateAgent.JPG width=463 align=baseline>

Ever wanted to buy a house close to the sea, with easy access to it whenever you needed? Thought about raising a family under the endless sounds of water rushing past? Do you love to fish? Well my freinds these may be the places for you...

    • Orton Point Housing Development, Orton Point, Los Porablos
    • Finchly Road, Port of Los Porablos, Los Porablos
    • Beagle Island, Orton Point, Los Porablos

Orton Point Housing Development is situated in the heart of the district, with housing starting from one-bedroom flats to sequential villas down some pretty avenue.  From 10,000 simoleans to 1,000,000; this house range is good for those who want a good start and a good finish.

    Locatedhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update13WestBank.JPG align=baseline>
The ferry terminal can take you all the way to San Fernandes, where you tour the city or take the car ferry from there to Georgetown, the city of magic.  Education here is good, health: ok.  Crime is low and fire hazards are to a minimum.  Downtown isn't too far away.

Finchly Road Housing Development is a good to settle when you've scaled the large economic ladder and become the richest cat on the block you already live in.  These are mostly villas and mansions for the well-off, prices start from 750,000 simoleans.
    Nothttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update13PortVillas.JPG align=baseline>
Education is good, people live here are healthy and safety is a must.  Built for the rich citizens and a good relaxion choice, and is not too far from the SimGoober freeway, which connects to the central interstates and dual carridgeways.

Beagle Island boasts some good tourist spots, plus excellent commercial services around the bay area.  Mostly flats, with prices between 20,000 simoleans to 250,000 for the maisonettes.
    Beaglehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update13WestBankOfCanals.JPG align=baseline>
In terms of location, services and utilities are excellent for supply & reliablilty.

    Canalshttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update13CanalsExitPoint.JPG align=baseline>
Pressure is dangerous until the water leaves this exit point.  This river is now perfectly safe for exotic tourists using the marina or the boats that travel via cable through the canals.

    Malibuhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update13FeederCanal.JPG align=baseline>
This feeder canal boosts pressure as it travels into the main canal, it also serves the city's main water service.  The higher the water level in the main canal, the greater the pressure push that comes from the feeder canal.  The malibu enjoys the water changes.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update13OrtonPointTwoFerries.JPG align=baseline>
The pressure isn't hard here, so ferries have fun traversing upstream.  But downstream it's tough - so they are temporarily connected to a cable between two stoppage ferry terminals.

    Here'shttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update13StreamWaterBreakers.JPG align=baseline>
This is the start of the water pressure breaker, marked by two familiar statues that can also be seen at the port area.

That's all for now - more to come later!

    Update 14

Sculpting the I30 through the Rockerfeller Mountians

It's time to leave Los Porablos for a minute and begin the long-overdue sculpting of the I-30 throguh the rockerfeller mountians.

Part A - The Bridgewood National Park

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14BridgewoodNationalParkFromTheAir.JPG align=baseline>
The I-30 Construction Has begun, and already we see great progress.

The Bridgewood National Park protection service has fought tirelessly to keep the park from not being touched, however the council and governers of San Portello has pointed out that some of the trees in the area were damadged due to last year's forest fires.  The government has allowed the construction to go forward, so long as the national parks was protected for all time and the dead trees replanted.

We will concentrate on Mount Simtropolis - as this is the end point of Los Porablos, marked by one final major industrial district and then an endless adventure from here on.

    Twohttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14BridgewoodNationalPark.JPG align=baseline>
Both highways you see here is just one, the I-30.  The Bridgewood National park will hardly be changed and as par with contract, the new village of Bridgewood has been planned to facilitate a protection oder.
    Bridgewoodhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14BridgewoodVillage.JPG align=baseline>
Living in this village will support the National Park, through a percentage of taxes.  People living here will have the priviladges to fish, fly and go bird spotting for free.

The growth of the trees will be accelerated (Thanks to the port of Los Proablos environmental research centre - just across the base from the Army Base.) All will be ready as planned.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14BridgewoodNationalParkResevior.JPG align=baseline>
The Old Church will be converted into a pumping station for service to Los Porablos and the village, but will also have religious meetings as usual.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14BridgewoodGolfingGreen.JPG align=baseline>
The Abandoned Golfing Green will be reastablished and put back into use.  It was left to rot when the industry grew to very polluting hieghts, leaving a black cloud to choke the well-gowers.  With the new plans, the industry will be reformed and become 75% less pollutant.  A preservation order will also request them to plant trees.
    Atophttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14MountSimtropolisRangerStation.JPG align=baseline>
Tourists and visitors will come by the National Park to see the sights, but also to meet the man behind the historic forest within his precious ranger station.

Part B will show you the Ghsot towns of the Rockerfeller Mountains and the developments that take place, including the new TV-Union Dish Array.  The I-30 has a long way to go, any ideas for what I could build on the way would be appreciated.

    Part B Coming soon...

And now - A New federal Prison!

Mount Chinchilla Prison establishment has suffered it's last breakout, and as a reaction to all these breakouts the governers decided to maximise the prison, and mvoe the current prisoners to Alcaprise Island in San Fernandes.

The new Maximim Security prison for the Post-Modernly Insane has Arrived!

    Ifhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14MaximumSecurityPrisonForPostModernlyInsane.JPG align=baseline>
Although small compared to Alcaprise, this prison facilitates the need to keep Insaniacs and post-modern warfarists in jail.

The police refused to post any more pictures of the development, with fear of attempted outside breakouts beggining again.  So far the prison has 200 offenders within it's walls.

    Traffic Police Report Serious Problems!
    Traffichttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14TrafficDowntownAtNine.JPG align=baseline>
It's starting to look like chaos out there on the streets of Los Porablos, police call City Hall to take action...
    Traffichttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14TrafficDowntownAtThree.JPG align=baseline>
We here at City Hall refuse to give any comments, but we are planning to place is some serious mass-transportation changes very soon.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14TrafficAtTheSeaport.JPG align=baseline>
Then the police bring up the seaport... The roads are clogged with trucks and SUV's wanting to go to the seaport.  We here at City Hall refuse to attend this situation at this time, becuase we are trying to concentrate on more important issues like getting the honest paid worker to work on time!

Without freight getting out of town in enough time... we'll have worse problems on our platters pretty soon.  Keep a lookout for those traffic problems folks - Los Porablos is getting big and any serious situation like conjestion msut be dealt with immediately.

    History Lesson

    'Moring class.'

    'Moring Miss Price.'

'As usual, we are going to look at the History of Los Porablos, and today, becuase the big planning department have posted the developmetn of the I-30 through the National park, we'll look at it's history...

Orignally, the park was a normal forest with no river.  The devlopers of the Industry there today wanted to produce a huge industrial district on the forest, but, becuase of new protection laws that had passed, the forest couldn't be destroyed.

However, the industry had tricky plans up it's sleeves...

    Troublehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14ForestFires.JPG align=baseline>
The industry let a fire get too out of hand, so the fires spread across the forest.  The forest was desolated in it's tracks, it had crossed the Chinchilla mountains and burnt the forest down to a pulp.  But the winds were changing, across the national park and taking the remains of the forest with it.  The ranger station was in serious danger - and the fire crews were called...
    Ithttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update14FireCrewsSaveTheForest.JPG align=baseline>
After the last of the forest was saved, the Industry wrote for claim of the burnt areas of the forest.  The Governers disilked this plan, and they sold parts of the land to Mobil, Texaco, Shell and the Society for the Heratige of Simnation Nature.  The Industry was forced to pay the SHSN 200million simoleans.  With this money, the forest was rebuilt quickly and then protected by not only by law, but by the fire service.

With the last area of damadged forest sold off to the I-30 planning commitee, the forest will soon be complete.  See above for the plans for the beginning... of the Quest to San Fernandes.

Some pictures of the Beaches & the Sea

While we wait for next month to come and the poll to the finish, I'll show you some pictures of San Portlello's exotic beaches within Los Porablos.  Sculting the I30 has been put on hold for a short period, dealing with the contours of the land and such.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update15UpTheBeachAlongFreeway.JPG align=baseline>
Traffic is high so we at city hall are proud to say the boulevard upgrates to a freeway shortly upstream.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update15TheIslandWithTheBeach.JPG align=baseline>
This freeway itself soon connects to the SimGoober Freeway.

    Simgooberhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update15SimGooberFreeway.JPG align=baseline>
The SimGoober freeway will be jam-packed with cars, and this is the releiver highway.  We hope both freeways will run smoothly after the city finishes all construction.

    bothhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update15TransportationMap.JPG align=baseline>
Both feeways are roughly the same length and grandeur - the SimGoober freeway has a long way to go yet though...

This is a new part of the port - within the big esturary.  This has increased the port's capacity from shipment of 1,000 freight per 6 hours to 5,000.  The backlog of freight trucks has reduced, and delivery procedures have become nicely paced.

    Shippinghttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update15TheOceanFreight.JPG align=baseline>
More boats are now seen travelling from and into port, and pollution is at it's lowest.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update15HightechIndustryNearMarrastFinancial.JPG align=baseline>
Industry has boomed with this rse of freight capacity, and many industries no longer have to control backlogs.  Freight from each industrial district is shipped once every two days thanks to the expansion.

Beagle island is the oporation's centre for the big freight moves and transportation - the recognisable golden commercial tower is head of operations for the Department of Freight Shipping & Transportation (DFST).

    Update 16

    I30 Sculpts through Rockerfeller Basin

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update16I30InterstateUnderConstructed.JPG align=baseline>
The I30 has been constructed through the entrance of Bridgewater national park, and the village there is doing well.  Now it's onto the Rockerfeller basin...

Heavy sculpting took place, with construction workers night & day digging the twin tunnels that'll cut through the mountains in question.  We then took on the heavy duty of building the main highway part the interstate, and then building the major wind farm.  Soon we'll have the small Rockerfeller basin village built for any people wishing to overlook the basin (Poll will decide what'll be at the bottom of the basin).

    Ourhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update16RockerfellerBasinVillage.JPG align=baseline>
We expect the village to be low-wealth first, but our plans also conspire a small elemetary house to cater for the village.  Police will be around the basin to protect the animals.

Our plans include a new hotel resort to cater for the tourists, plus a small tourist location for any further visitors.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update16BridgewaterResortHotel.JPG align=baseline>
The power cables will be a small view, but their elevations limit their location relevant to the basin's good views.  Every room will probably see the top of each pylon but that'll be it.

Along with picturtesque locations, the tourist area will be in place beside one of the tunnels (Although the entrance will be up the interstate). The trip from the inmterstate to the area itself may be long - but tourists will require to travel this road to get to the hotel too.  The good side of it all is that the picturetesque views will be open whilst they drive to the hotel and tourist area.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update16I30InterstateCompleted.JPG align=baseline>
It may be small but it serves all the tourists well.

The Wind farm itself serves a good portion of the Rockerfeller basin - and also boosts the national grid surplus for San Portello.

    Wehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update16BridgewaterWindFarm.JPG align=baseline>
This is a good power supplier for the Rockerfeller mountains, as it is mostly villages and small business.  However heavy industry needs more power to generate profit for Simnation's GDP.

And finally, the Bridgewood National Park in a few short hours...

    Rememberhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update16BridgewaterNationalParkExpanding.JPG align=baseline>
Once the 4th of June comes to pass, the poll will close and I will count up the votes - remember - the Board of Governers is counting on you, the public to make a decision!

Here's the interstate sculpting through the national park...

    Youhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update16I30TransportMap.JPG align=baseline>
The train line will junction off down the basin - to Las Ventura and San Fernandes.  The Las Ventura will then join the main line to Georgetown.

Any ideas, comments will be appreciated! And thanks to all whose who have already commented - don't forget about the poll! (Second hyperlink in my signature).
