Excellent update, nice to see you diagonalised (is that a word14.gif) the roads in the first pic, which really addy variety to an otherwise boring picture, and the seafront with the piers, very scenic. But i think my favourit of this update has to be the most unsurprising (for me anyhow), the last picture, the traffic on the highway, its nice to see highways that look busy in city journals. Nice job44.gif

Great CJ. I like the look and feel of the region. The pictures look great too. I should pop in here a bit more frequently.

6underground: Thanks for that advice - I love the outcomes it gave me... put a smile to my sickened (Ill) face. The traffic mod is working perfectly for me and those pictures were just for traffic lovers like yourself! How far are you with the Embassy?

PhilsCafe: Thanks! I need to concentrate on your CJ more too, that thing has serious potential and has sparked my interests almost as much as the ones in my signature!

    Perhaps another update soon...

    Update 45

Los Porablos GLR - Stoopid or what?

Mayor Joey of San Fernandes visited Los Porablos today, and beheld a strange sight... Ground-Light-rail???

    GLRhttp://img156.echo.cx/img156/6226/nealos101update45000004nn.jpg align=baseline>
45.1 GLR passing through Beverly Heights...

He spoke to Los Porablos' mayor and he said traffic was painful and annoying, and the hillside outskirts of Beverly Heights couldn't get to work on time.  He also added that the old outskirts couldn't take part in construction but the new zones got the full swing of the service...

    Thehttp://img156.echo.cx/img156/2148/nealos101update45000019iu.jpg align=baseline>
45.2 The Hillside resorts overlooking the local lake are well-serviced by the GLR...

The GLR swerves around the hills using a smart technique of subway transitions and curves, allowing it to service the entire area quickly and calmly.

    Detail...http://img156.echo.cx/img156/5506/nealos101update45000021lm.jpg align=baseline>
45.3 The overall detail of the hills and GLR...

With no housing, it'll be some time before the GLR is heavily used... but eventually, it'll become very imporant...

You'll have to stay tuned for mroe views of the GLR in Porablos, and in Georgetown, it'll be an entrie new tram network in the bottom of the downtown skyscrapers! Woof!

Apologies if the update was short... well past my bedtime!

    Comments? Questions? I don't mind!

Interesting, seems a lot like the rail that I incorporated into my city of Hamilton, except since yours has such a neat use of transitions, I deep it much better.

Good idea to use GLR in the suburbs. It's much more decent than elevated rail... Nice update, btw.

Fairlane500: Thanks! Anyone who has enough patience to play with the GLR has a gift... Im having so much troubles with it! But it's getting there very slowly...

    sc4frk: Another bookmark! Thanks!

PhilsCafe: Thanks, I'd rather be playing with the GLR than the elevated rail - especially if it's go those cool hillside transitions that fit great into beverly heights!

lookinin: Glad you like, another update coming soon! More of Beverly Heights and back to SF.

    Update 46

    Beverly Heights Develops & Expands...

Greetings San Portello fans! Beverly Heights is still expanding and Mayor Joey is still at Los Porablos to still watch the atmosphere as it develops...

    Thishttp://img31.echo.cx/img31/6764/nealos101update46000001ov.jpg align=baseline>
46.1 This part of the city now is occupied and the GLR is being used by 90 residents! 90! Wow!!!

Beverly Heights is finally becoming famous for it's beautiful landscapes, and as the hills become to large for the brickwork tiles to be applied to the cliffs, commercial districts are wanting a spot in the development craze! Residents are a top priority, but we say glory to the Commercial!

    Universityhttp://img31.echo.cx/img31/747/nealos101update46000014ef.jpg align=baseline>
46.2 Want to live here? Just apply via the forum or PM Project President Nealos and he'll sort it out for you!

With commercial applications coming in near and wide, we couldn't just say now and keep developing housing areas, what would you do?

    70% allow...

    Morehttp://img31.echo.cx/img31/2926/nealos101update46000024hl.jpg align=baseline>
    46.3 Commercial areas develop first...

As proof of the developments, the commercial builds first, slowly followed by the housing estates.  Odd connection? I don't think so!

    Deephttp://img31.echo.cx/img31/3950/nealos101update46000034uw.jpg align=baseline>
46.4 The housing estates here today are still there - with any importance.

The local government (Run by the Mayor of San Portello), supports these local areas by concentrating on commerce and trade.  This time the mayor isn't letting anythign happen what so ever.

am44: Thanks! Im glad you enjoy San Portello and it won't be stopping soon...

lookinin: Personally, I love Beverly Heights - Id say its the best thing that's come out of San Portello so far - but Im aiming Georgetown's Downtown to be the most photo-excellent of all. Thanks again Lookinin, people like you keep this CJ going!

flappie: Thanks! The city is called Los Porablos. 48.gif It took me at least 4-5 hours to accomplish what you see here today.  Id say the more time something takes, the better it looks and Beverly Heights has prooved it.

    City

    Update 47

    LPX???????!!!

News Reporter: In an occurance of strange events, an odd hurricane that struck through San Portello yesterday only claimed one part of one of the vibrant cities in the state.  We're going live via satillite to give you this special bulliten, over to you Amie!

    LPX
47.1 A serious computer glitch claimed this city area... It's the one and only LPX 32.gif

Amie: Thankyou! Im now following what looks like LPX, untouched by any hurricane thus far... but... wait! HOLY GOD!

*Channel flickers and zapps to and fro as a huge thunderstorm makes LPX look like a chilli sandwhich left in the fridge for five days with some ants munching on it*

    News Reporter: Amie? Amie?

Amie: Wow... I don't know what the hell just happened, but the flash that just occurred came from outer space! It zapped through the eye of the hurricane and what appears to be ... No ... It can't be?

    LPX
47.2 Deleting the city, and rebuilding it took painful tears. 8.gif

    Amie: LPX is gone!

News Reporter: Yes, it has been closed for several weeks...

Amie: No, I mean it's actually gone from the cityscape area!

News Reporter: It's not in the cityscape ara... San Portello doesn't have an airport in a cityscape area...

Amie: Whatever man! I know what Im seeing! It's NOT THERE.

News Reporter: Aliens! Ahh! They've abducted LPX and are now coming for us! No!! Run for your life!

    *Reporter jumps out a window*

Amie: Right... Close enough.  End of report.

    Lpx'shttp://img121.echo.cx/img121/4397/nealos101update47000025pg.jpg align=baseline>
47.3 LPX was reconstructed... very slowly...

Mayor: This is insane! A major commuter airport doesn't just vanish, leaving thousands of commuters stranded on the outbreakers of the city! what are we supposed to do?

Transportation Department: Bah! Poddycock! I say go fetch it and punish it!

Seaport Export & Import Division: Build another seaport there!

Los Porablos Aviation Authority: We have to act quickly before the commuters within Porablos become angry and use the highways to get home!

Environment Agency: Too much pollution! Too much pollution!

Mayor: Alright everyone.  Plan B in your textbooks.

*The entire hall opens up a hardback book entilted 'Plan B.'*

San Portello Governing Body: Mayor! Governer Nealos wants results from a satisfactory airport, not a broken-down one! Your situation at this mayoral post is here by defective if you do not propose a strategy in sixty seconds...

Los Porablos Aviation Authority: We begin with the industry! Get it back on track and begin taxing them to support the reconstruction!

Transportation Department: Bah! Highways! Expressways! Mass-transit! Hurrumpf!

    Transporthttp://img121.echo.cx/img121/2118/nealos101update47000034uw.jpg align=baseline>
47.4 Confusing, but the in-depth pictures coming...

Mayor: Already planned! The airport is already under construction! Transport department - show us your plans...

Transportation Department: Bah! Hurumpf! Expressway branching from Simgoober freeway serving industry as a by-pass to and from airport! With rail junction yard in-between. Bah! Hip-cak-wollop!

Department of Public Affairs: Commute times will be lifted! We agree to the proposal! Mayor! You have yourself a project!

Environment Agency: Too much pollution! Too much pollution!

    Everyone Else: Gawd...

    Constructionhttp://img121.echo.cx/img121/1715/nealos101update47000049ec.jpg align=baseline>
47.5 Work begins... and is almost finished...

Mayor: Good stuff everyone! what are we to do with the airport problem?

Aviation Authority: The airport served a measly 400,000 passengers, we suggest adding some more facilities to boost population usage to 1,000,000!

Transportation Department: Expressway! Bah! Conjestion! Toll booths!

    Mayor: Good thinking... Anyone else?

    Everyone else: Hmmm...

Environment Agency: Too much pollution! Too mu...

47.6 The expressway is almost complete...

Mayor: We're on track! More proposals?

    *Environment agency raises hand...*

    Mayor: Yes?

    Environment Agency: Too much pollution!

    Everyone Else: Aye!

    *Environment Agency raises hands...*

Mayor: I KNOW THERE'S TOO MUCH POLLUTION! WE'LL DEAL WITH THAT LATER! Now everyone go home!!!!

*Hall empties except for Environment Agency...*

Environment Agency: This new policy is working great, soon he'll have to cut pollution...

Sorry to learn you lost part of your city - I'm sure that after the reconstruction it will be even better 1.gif You have a great sense of humor!

I love the elevated avenues too, but I can't tell if it's the image filter or if you're using the older NAM version, but the white parts look too bright - the new version has some cosmetic fixes. If it's your filter, sorry for bringing it up. 1.gif ( NetworkAddon_Beta (June 2005) )

Great job in any case - it's a pleasure to visit your CJ after each update! 44.gif

Photoshop is boosting the colours in the NAM overpasses, so they look that way. Lol! Its a shame really, I love those overpasses - I beleive I have the latest version... If not, Ill discover soon enough! I like to add some humor now and then, I don't want this CJ to be boring 24/7!

nice update keep them coming. I was just wondering with your custom airport how many people use it because mine barely gets used with about 16 people using it. I have got the tram and the control tower as well with a region of 2.2 million. What do you think im doing wrong?

Haven't posted here in a bit, but it's looking really great. Beverly Heights looks wonderful the way you've terraced those houses. The new LPX looks well laid out, especially the highway junctions. And the region view is just impressive.

Great job nealos101! The airport looks great and I love the way you've laid out the highways & avenues. The light towers never quite fit - I guess they had to be taller to actually shed light to the surroundings, but they still look nice. Awesome work, great night pics!
