WOOOW!! Those trees changed the way your city journal looks. From down into the Valley coast. To your highest Mountains with all the trees around and a quiet and lonely feel. This Makes you City Journal and cities look much better! Great work!

You can post your ideas for the park on the poll to - it's a forum as well - any ideas will be great and your Login Name will be implamented somewhere as a way to say thanks!

Thanks again for all of your comments! Another update hopefully tonight (Or tomorrow - depends where you live with respect to England).

    Update 17

Sculpting the I30 through the Rockerfeller Mountains

Part C - The Wookai Cluster

A good start for the board of Governers today as the lonely Wookai cluster (Wookai Mountain, Wookai Village, Wookai Valley & Wookai Satellite Installation) enters the planning proposals and desgin frame.  As the I30 begins work in the Rockerfeller basin - officials draw up plans for these lonely areas...

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17BridgewaterInfluences.JPG align=baseline>
The State Governers agreed this plan will be developed, as the Bridgewater national park is facing small crisis with respect to the Rockerfeller Basin - and as a consequence, the park's borders have expanded and now will officially end at this point:

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17BridgeingTheWookaiValley.JPG align=baseline>
This is the border - the forest's protection after this point is not so strict.  Although it is Bridgewater territory, the area formerly belongs to the village of Wookai.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17TheI30InterstateJunction.JPG align=baseline>
Officials claim that Wookai is a dense province - and there is no way we could put in a juction anywhere else - this is the Wookai Junction from the I30 - the only one in the province.  Civilization begins up the road...

    Uphttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17TheBaseOfMountWookai.JPG align=baseline>
This small inlet already exists, and would love the tourists - where the I30 flies through is just a small dirt track at this minute in time.  Commute is hell for the habitants but they never move on...

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17TheDishes.JPG align=baseline>
Up the same road you'll bump into the WFST - The Wookai Federation of Satellite Trusts.  They support everything to do with San Portello up above the atmosphere, especially Satellites.  The road doesn't end here, but planning athorities have urged governers to end it here, as the road blocks the I30 expansion...

    Keephttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17TheHotelOfWookai.JPG align=baseline>
A hotel sits dormant in Wookai - but we're going to reopen it and beautify it! It'll be called: The Wookai Hotel. Nice...

    Whilsthttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17WookaiValley.JPG align=baseline>
Make sure to stop on one side of the bridge and enjoy the view...

    There'shttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17SuspiciousRoad.JPG align=baseline>
Before the only turnoff for Wookai village, you'll come across this T-Junction.  Our best warning is to advoid it - traspassers that go past the tunnel will be shot...

    Picturehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17TopSecretInstallation.JPG align=baseline>
Us here at the Hall of San Portello Governers caught a couple of pictures of the suspicious area - no organisation has come forward to threaten us or claim responsibility...

    Picturehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update17OnlyPictureOfInstallation.JPG align=baseline>
The last picture tells the story straight.  It's a military installation - people are kept out for a good reason - the Army are playing with dangerous toys down there; we advise extreme caution when adventuring through the Wookai forests this close to the installation...

Octagon officials claimed that this military installation is a private land owner - not owned by them.  However - they answered this question before we even asked it! Press will look into this...

And so another update finished! Enjoy - maybe a few more shots tonight.

    Update 18

Sculpting the I30 through the Rockerfellers

    Part D - Morino Towers

    Los
City Hall is complete - all of it's departments can now be identified, and with this new information, we can freely navigate the departments as we continue with the updates.

    Los
Working alongside the San Portello Department of Transportation (Based in Georgetown), the Los Porablos Department of Transport can now fully function without the need of extra funding from outside powers.

The I30 draws near to the San Andreas junction, where our story begins on the I35, heading to San Fernandes.  The Department of Transport for Los Porablos will stay with this project until it reaches inside of San Fernandes juristiction.  For now though, it is mainly down to San Portello Department of Transport.

Without further adue, the I30 plans are now going through Morino Towers.

    Morino
One of the most challenging quests of the I30, digging through and past the Morino Towers will be a tough & costly one.  The Los Porablos DOT admits 23 million has already been spent, with at least 20% extra funded into the Morino Towers passage.

    Morino
A short history lesson; the Capital of Morino Towers is San Morino... Now a ghost town thanks to the lack of jobs for the occupants and basic lack of needs being fullfilled.

    Morino
Morino Village is now the capital - at least 1,000 inhabitants.  Every one can afford proper transport now - and the Rockerfeller Mountains can cater for them properly now.  There were no complaints from the village for the I30 passing through - in fact it was a boost in planning!

    Everything
This is the 2 million project - a good, economic cost.  We would have rather created a bridge than dug into the valley, uprooting plenty of good trees and foilage.  We expect peak traffic useage here will be sufficient for our troubles.

Like the area before, Mount Wookai, there will be only one junction - each costs 500,000 simoleans to build, mind! (You know the actual cost for SC4- im adding reality).

    The
This junction is guarenteed to feed the local industry and the village...

    The
The industry is running at a loss - and the I30 will bring it back to International Standards.

    Another
Another Wind Farm - this feeds into the main network, generating power for San Fernandes; the main distributor of power for San Portello.

The I30 is a good supplier for goods, but power needs a good source - the wind farms all over the Rockerfellers will occupy this requirement.

As a final note - these are all the departments that have been Identified:

    Los
    City Hall

    Los
    Department of Transport

    Department
    Seaport Freight Transportation & Exportation

    San
Department of welfare & Loyalties (State Control Centre)

    State
Department of Health & Education (State Headquaters for Operations & Manadgement)

These buildings are streamlined with new funding materials - the State want to show off - City Hall has been there for years.

    That's all folks!

    Update 19

Sculpting the I30 through the Rockerfeller Mountains

...Has been put on hold.  While we work on the I30 in Morino Towers, we'll look at Los Porablos and how it's getting on:

    Loshttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update18LosPorablosCityHall.JPG align=baseline>
    City Hall Announcement!

City Hall is proud to announce Los Porablos rich equalities have touched high standards with the introduction of Beverly Heights!
    The
    Northerly city is Beverly Heights

Home to over 20,000 rich or well-off sims, Beverly Heights is a richman's dream if he wants to get on with life in the big spin! Jollywood next door welcomes the new Precinct, as it can get more film stars for it's studios.

    Ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update20BerverlyHeightsHousing1.JPG align=baseline>
Rich & medium wealth sims ONLY.  Afraid to say, this is basically Snobtown.  But for intelligent reasons!

Celebrities like: Cycledogg (Creator of the Hit-Abulm - Tree me my Reigon); Sloppet (Voice-over charecter for hit video The Xirtam) and; Pegasus (World Leading Company that created the infamous 'Pine Trail' trilogy and many more hit classics).

    Anotherhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update20BeverlyHeightsHousing2.JPG align=baseline>
Classy as it seems, there's no serious issues arousing in Beverly Heights, unless you can't afford the good stuff here...

House prices shot up in the 'boom' after the major riots yesterday - we'll take a look at them later.

    Housinghttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update20BeverlyHeightsHousing3.JPG align=baseline>
Freebies and locals are great at choosing the right location, arn't they?

Beverly Heights was a hideout for locals last night as the riots exploded to serious confrontations.  SWAT teams and Army personell had to be called in to asses the situation.  Here's beverly heights in relation to Los Porablos:

    Loshttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update20LosPorablos.JPG align=baseline>
Los Porablos is getting close to it's borders - LPX is coming soon... stay tuned!

    JuStIcE sUx In LoS pOrAbLoS!

...was one of the lines written on the side of the city courthouse a week ago when, the crooked infamous cop, Officer Redwood of West Side, was set free with no charges to his name.  Everyone knows what he did... He made decent people killers - and killers Urban-Expodities.  Everyone whos anyone began throwing objects a day later and soon those objects became fire for everyone's eyes...

Some say the nutorious missing gangster EP Story Link began the riots when, he posted the above remark on the courts.

The Mafia & Triad ganglords have also gone missing - leaving behind their guardogs and mobsters... Whom soon had their fair fire at the cops...

    Youhttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update19PoliceStage1.JPG align=baseline>
Mafia mob and Triads working together? While on the other side of town...

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update19RiotsStage4.JPG align=baseline>
The mobs send their messages - the small gang clans begin to fight and the Russians and true Chinamen have a gorgeous fight of their own downtown...

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update19LosPorablosRiots.JPG align=baseline>
All pictures of the riots downtown were not printed - the sences were too graphic... Here's an overview of the riot's beginning to the end counting over days...

    1. Officer Redwood found not guilty on all charges and set free.  Message appeares outside the courthouse where EP stands waving the battle-hardened Greens await for him.
    2. A huge gunfight starts downtown and the riots begin.  All across the city people realise what is happening and join in the struggle - clans come out of hiding and grab all the territory they can.  Gang war after gang war - nothing could get worse!
    3. The Triads take their ganglords out of town with the Mafia tailing them.  The Russians cover up any tracks left behind by attacking police stations.  Triads dislike this and go for them.
    4. Downtown falls into dissarray - SWAT teams are called in.
    5. City Hall perimeter secured - SWAT teams call in Army backup.
    6. The riots are cleaned-sweeped - district after district the felons are drawn from their running and are forced to give up.
Officer Redwood was found dead outside the Green's hideout - the house itself abandoned with no sign of San Portello's most wanted: Eddie Porablos.  The hunt is on.  Fire departments were called from out of town and the city is beginning to be cleared up:

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update19RiotsAreOverButFiresAreStillBurning.JPG align=baseline>
An endless skyline of black cloud soon becomes just an invisible smog - the fires will die out eventually but until then... it's time the city got some well-deserved rest.

The Los Porablos riots screwed up the city's economy - and it's security policy.  Now, the police are on the search for Eddie Porablos - the man that started it all... If they have to go far and wide... he's out there... somewhere...

Thus begins... The San Portello main story.

Mafia: 'We're gonna get him Al Cappichino - that dirty rat won't cheat another Mafia ganglord again - he'll be sleeping with the whales by the time he gets to the border...'

Triads: 'Chinatown in shadow... What must we do now? Do we go after this forsaken one? Or do we secure our wealth in Ventura?'

Redwood: 'It's over Eddie... The city is in chaos and it's all because of you - you can't shoot an innocent man...'

    Eddie: Shudup!

    Coming soon...

Nealos101 - Thanks for comments - any more will be very helpful!

    Update 21

    Sculpting the Rockerfeller Mountains

    Part E - Node's point dilema

    Node'shttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update21NodesPointOverview.JPG align=baseline>
Node's Point - top left medium-sized city which is the runup to the San Andreas Interchange between the I30 and I35 - where we start our travels to the glorious city of San Fernandes.

One serious issue here... A little village called Node's Point, had developed on the city planner's optional area.  3 years into the project and this happens - damn those thugs at the Governer's office! Anyway, we at city hall decided before our budget gets to hefty - we shall do the work for the governs so Node's point is saved...

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update21NodesPoint.JPG align=baseline>
The I-30 now sits upon a huge embankment that cuts through the area like a devilish eyesore (Or so we plan) - at this moment in time the I-30 is still working it's way through Morino... The embankment is half finished though...

The Governers office decided the industry needed a boost - so we added a little commercial district...

    Spicehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update21NodesPointCommercialArea.JPG align=baseline>
The Node's Point forest wasn't very spectacular - but it was worth salvadging.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update21Mines.JPG align=baseline>
The Node's Point Mines have a history behind them - it mined Platinum from 1850-1921.  Then it was shut down after the ghost of a lama spooked all the workers away...

Now it's just for looks, but it still uses it's rich area for High-Tech industry.

    Thehttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//Nealos101Update21NodesPointTransportMap.JPG align=baseline>
The I-30 isn't too far from the San Andreas intersection now...

And now, before I leave - here's a few extra shots!

This looks really great, and I'm surprised there hasn't been more interest. Large center city and large sprawling suburbs on flat land, with mountains in the background. Nice combination of high wealth and low wealth. Definitely a California resemblance, if you ask me.

The construction of the I30 through the mountains reminds me a bit of how I-70 was built through the mountains of Colorado. That was quite the marvel of engineering.

    Update 22

Sculpting the I-30 through the Rockerfeller Mountains

Part F - The Hoober Dam passage

    The
The I30 and the I35 have connected, our story for the interstate 30 has ended.  We begin with the I-35 next update - the main basin of the Nevada Plain has been developed.

The Governer's office has already developed the I-30 into the basin, however structural work hasn't been completed on the suspension bridge over the river Ventura.  We can only give you brief pictures of the basin at this time, but we here at Los Porablos city hall can offer you a few pictures.

    Agriculture
The basin (Unlike it's real counterpart) was originally a desert but now is a fertile havean for well-going farmers.  The freight trucks pass through the dirt track currently, but the planning office insists the San Andreas junction completed swiftly and economically.

We here at City Hall like to know where this planning policy is going - we know the I-30 will cater this freight, as well as the inter-city commuters.  The farms go on for miles until Las Ventura is close.  Little inlets and villages will pop up here and there.

    Nealos101Update22HooberDam.JPG
The I30 is now out of LP City Hall juristiction, but here is a preview of what is to come when San Fernandes is complete.

We will follow the I-35 shortly after tomorrow's big rush hour, but for now, one last picture...

    The
The Mobil Resupply Centre, running the mains supply to Las Ventura and San Fernandes.  The pipes are now udnerground for eye-catching reasons, but the supplies are still abundant.

That's all from City Hall - we're trying our best here people but with the mayor on holiday to France, it's getting harder by the day.

    Nealos101.

Thanks everyone - remember; I need comments! lol! Don't forget that poll too. Enjoy. 49.gif

    Update 23

    The San Andreas Junction

    • Sculpting the I-30 through the Rockerfellers.
    • I-35; The journey to San Fernandes.
    The
Like the Milwalkie Intersection, the San Andreas intersection will serve a good swarm of traffic from other parts of Simnation including Las Ventura, Simtropolis and Witicone.

Although it isn't special, planners are now releived that this intersection is fully landscaped and completed.  However, the I-30 is still halfway through cutting itself through Node's Point... plus the I-35 is now open for redevelopment.

The Problem: The I-35 is a completed freeway/highway and has been here since Simnation had it's first highway way back in 18'.  Maintenance workers haven't paid much attention to it since then (Now it is 215); and it's falling apart with every trackload that flies over it.

The Solution: Replace the greasy tarmac with state-of-the art road covering, introducing new junctions/diversions if necessary.  Expected price: 200 million simoleans.  San Portello governers are working with the rest of Simnation to maintain the highway to full spec by the end of 225.  Whilst that is in progress, the I-30 will pass through Las Ventura and head toward Georgetown, before going west out of the reigon.

    Serious
Hoober dam is now running at full capacity... Las Ventura's streets are beginning to light up and those dirt tracks will be there for quite a while longer before we see any serious improvement!

The Hoober lake was established by the Mobil & Hoober Corporative trust (Oil company using water pressure to boost it's oil & gas transport speeds). The lake services the river in the Hoober Basin, and also the trust.

    The
The river was originally a petty stream - now it's MASSIVE! And becuase of that, trees have started to sprout in the desert of the Rockerfeller canyon! State Gvoerners love this feature - hopefully the entire desert will be populated with the same forestry.

The stream came from up-canyon, from a shady mountian beside the I-35, now a large network of pipes pressurise it underground and feed it under the Mobil & Hoober Trust Data Centre.

    3
This allows the trust to undertake tests and of course, implement the ferocious pressures into the oil & gas supply system.

A small stream also came from the local peak - not very active - so we boosted it also.  The trust enjoys toying around with nature to boost it's effectiveness for the industry.

    The
The water supplies here match Los Porablos - the water system feeds Las Ventura and thus allowing it to begin expanding towards it's acheivable goal as gambling capital of the world.

Of course - the water will naturally corrode the lake and soon, the pressure will lower - but the industry has already tracked this and added a forth & fifth pipe to accomidate!

    The
The data centre grows every month - it lets some land to other industry - for a good bargain price.

The trust itself also keeps a keen eye on the Intersection - as one small service pipe as delebiratly taken from the main supply and placed it below the intersection to produce a small water table for the habitat around the intersection.  As you saw - it's alive!

    If
The I-30 is now back to reasonable levels near the sea, and it's going to be like that for a long while.  The I-35 though has a hell of a long way to go.

    • Los Porablos City Hall would like to thank everyone for their support
    • The Mobil & Hoober Trust appreciate your comments
    • The San Portello State Governers appreciate the publicity and specially thank the Planning Department for working so hard with the I-30 in it's early years.
    • I-30 Construction case file Sculpting the I-30 through the Rockerfellers is now closed.
    9.gifYey! Now it's onto the I-35...

    Nealos101.  Stay tuned...
