Hey there ...

I've been playing Simcity 4 for several years now, and although I had couple of long breaks, I keep on returning to this awesome game. Everytime I return, I always find something new and inspiring on the Simtropolis forums, and I love reading through the city journals pages.

I thought that this time, I might try to start my own CJ, track my progress in building the islands population, and perhaps give someone new ideas to other players out there too 

I've started playing on a hand made map, that I've created about a year ago in Photoshop (you can find it somewhere in Fantasy maps section of STEX), and the region was further hand terraformed before I started any cities.

Unfortunately, I haven't made screenshots before I started laying out the cities, so the satellite view below shows the islands inhabited by approx. 20 thousands people (current population):

And finally, transportation map of the archipelago. As the cities (or rather villages) are still small, most of the transportation is done only by roads and streets. On the eastern island, where most of current population resides,  you can see the first railway going from Eureka to Copacabana,

Eureka..hmm..Are you talking about Louisville327's Eureka? Or something else? Well, the islands look great (but I don't know about snowcapped mountains in a tropic island...) Looking forward to finding out more
