Thanks to some helpful input, and a few less hairs on my head, all three of my Rail Stations have been updated, and fixed.  The two that worked did not allow freight traffic, so have been fixed to remedy this.  The Clock Tower is also now completely useable as well.  I now have a good working knowledge of Transit Switch Modding to add to my Modding Resume.... 3.gif

Just FYI, been busy, and playing the game.. so no major new projects under way.  I might even start a CJ.. as I am playing more than anything now, so development is slow.  I did revamp the old Costco Distribution center; the model is the same, but the old one had unrealistic properties.  I'll try to update that to the STEX in a few days.  Made a few last minute tweaks, and want to be sure the growable works as expected first.

Also, if anyone updated the rail stations, please let me know if there are any issues?? I found a major bug on one of my copies, but think I may have accidentally changed it after updating.. as I checked them before hand and I am 90% sure this bug wasn't there.  One had a very low capacity... 1000.. instead of 20,000....

Hey SG, I want to commend you on your floral prop collection.  I've reworked many lots that I've downloaded, and I always find myself going back and using many of yours (and a few of D66's too).  I really love the wildflower props... I didn't really grasp how great they looked until I saw Mickebear using them on his building thread... they really cover an area very well and decrease the amount of time it takes to turn an average lot into a spectacular looking one!

Ooooo-k, I don't know if anyone else noticed this, but every now and then, a lotta of my downloaded SG lots have no queries. Whenever I click on it with the question-mark icon, nothin' happens. Ya hear the commercial buzzin', typin', ringin', etc sound effects, but ya see nothin'. Has anyone else had this problem? It seems to be with the latest commercial and industrial lots of yours, SG. Help me out.

jglei701 probably meant these wildflowers by SG that I used in testing my Mediterranean Villa Carlotta:

Yep, those are the ones... I really like how you get full coverage of an area with flowers without having to plop 400 individual flowers.

I really like the other sets too (the herb and flower gardens, the sets that were used in the trail set, the rose gardens, etc).

Mickebear, that is a gorgeous lot!  nice job on that.  1.gif

As to the query issue.. a long time ago, we were still getting a hand on how the installer program works.  We included certain essentials files that were shared with other lots, as we were under the impression this program would only over-write older versions.  Turns out the free version doesn't have that capability, so if you install an older lot with an older version, it can downgrade the file.

Since then we have kept these queries in the Essentials installer, so updates are always current.  A few older lots have the old version though, so if you lose the query, re-install it.  As I find lots that have the essentials file installed with them, I am updating them on the STEX to remove it, but it's very hit or miss, as I didn't keep records of which lots had them.

And I am already considering an expansion to the NIMBY collection... still in early planning stages, but I am thinking of more urban style lots, for the city as it grows....

I got a small request from Liedl that I decided to do.  There is a water tower up his way, that is designed to look like a giant fishing bobber!  It's a simplistic design, though getting the ladder right was a little challenge.  It's rendering now, and should only take about 10 minutes... I'll just make it similar in properties to the smiley face one (it's about the same size), and probably release it in a day or two..

Love these small town pieces; they have a bunch of character..  1.gif

    SG,

i recently dl'ed your Mathew Keenan Townhomes and i noticed that two of them appear in my parks menu.  i looked at the included files and didnt see anything about ploppables and was wondering which file to remove so they dont show up in my already cluttered parks menu.

btw...im lovin the new water towers, they add a great deal of realism to smaller communities

    SG, you make great stuff.

I have a request. Could you note in the file name if a plop lot is a reward lot? I can recognize always plop lots (civic, etc.), but I can't tell if some of your SG_xxx lots are rewards or straight plops. For example, I know that the Buffalo Grill's plop lot is actually a reward. Could you note that in the file name in the future? With the Buffalo Grill, you could name it something like this: SG_Buffalo_Grill_Reward.sc4lot. I don't care for RCI menu plops but I love reward ones.

    Inspiring work, Simgoober!

Used the beautiful new Washburn water tower. Noticed that it didn't add to the water supply correctly at first. (usage was 6% while others in my town were closer to 100%). Only after running more pipes through its footprint did the usage jump to a correct 60%+.

    Just my 2p observations.
Looking forward to your future projects!

    Hello,

Just wanted to say: wonderful job you did on all of your creations.
I especially like the clock tower station, because it has a working clock!
Is it possible to make/update clocktowers with working clocks?

    Thank you.

    Aramus,

Many, if not all custom water system buidings have this problem.  The solution is just what you said... you need to cover the footprint with pipes, and it should work like normal.

I thought your NIMBY lots were great!  I look forward to the second installment, and would like to offer some suggestions if I may:

Liquor stores- both trashy and more upscale versions
Bars- lower and upper class, and ones like you may see around college campuses
    Pool Halls

and how about some meth labs that look like regular homes except with the occasional explosions, J/K?!

Anyway, I've downloaded almost all of your lots and used many of your textures and props to improve other peoples BATS, so I just wanted to say thank you!

Seemurray2, that had me rolling.  Thanks for the laugh.  This could add a whole new dimension of gameplay.  UDI helicopters flying in circles, random audio files playing things like, this is the police, you are surrounded, or an occasional burst of gunfire.

SG, I know you don't do requests, but have you ever thought of a used records store?  http://www.rasputinmusic.com/newark.html
