The Sheraton is still under construction... I'm not happy with the lot layout, and am still playing with it.  I guess I'll wait to upload this until next week.  I'd rather take my time and get it right, than hav to do an update in a few days.  It's rendered and all, just tweaking the lot.

 

I've also made more progress on the Ritz Carlton.  It's actually nearing completion.  I'd say the building is about 90% ready to render, just adding little details here and there.  It's going to be a bigger, Reward lot.  Probably 7 or 8 tiles square.  It will probably be the week after the Sheraton, as I need to figure out the Reward thingy stuff, and then test it thoroughly to make sure it really works the way I intend.

 

Here's the top of the Ritz, with most details.  I am still adding a few things to the roof, like some pipes and such...

if thats around 20 stories tall, its the ritz carlton in tysons corner (or are there other ritz-carltons that look like that?). Great job too. Looks just like the one im thinking about.

good guess.   I got a pic of the one in Tysons Corner, which is what it is based on.  The pic only shows it from the front, so the sides and back are going to be made up.  It appears to have a conference center out back, which is what I am adding there.

 

I have a couple other smaller projects to complete, but will start the other hotels soon.  I', kinda in a hotel mindset, as I'll be traveling a lot this month...

hehehe.... The Ritz model is ready, but I'm still tweaking the lot.  The RW caught up to me a bit this week, so I wasn't on too much.  When a phone call from your boss starts with ; We have had a sales force re-alignment and some re-organization.....  the week gets interesting.  No bad knews for me luckily, but it kept me busy figuring things out....

 

The Sheraton should be ready for this week, and maybe one other.  I'll play with a couple new designs tonight.

Well, here's what kept me busy for a couple hours this evening.  I didn't intend to do anything like this, but saw a request in the BAT request thread that looked neat, and relatively simple.  It's not my normal style, and I don't imagine I'll do many more like it, but it's been a little fun.  It is based off the Unisource Energy Tower, in Tucson, AZ.  It will be referred to as the Tucson Tower.  I only had a couple pictures off the net to work with, and modified the design a little to work better in game.  It is currently 120 meters tall, at 24 stories.  There will be an additional 6 meters or so at the base for the lobby level, and another level up top for the atrium area.  It should sit snuggly on a 2x2 lot, and I'll probably do a couple lot size variations.

I was able to work on the crown today, and came up with an interesting twist on the nitelites.  I made the very top level an observation lounge, and put people in it behind transparent glass.  With the lights tweaked just right, it looks pretty cool.  Too bad I couldn't do every level that way, but BAT doesn't like too many Omnis; it really bogs down and has a tendency to error out.  If all goes well, this might be ready this week.

Oh WOW looks real good SG!!!  I cant wait to place it in a city!  One day I will have to teach myself about the BAT program and make my own buildings to place on here.  But I will have to find some time between work and school.

i cant beleive you did the unisousrce energy. i live in tucson and work down the street from it. i have to say it looks really good. its kinda embarrasing that tucson is a city of a million people and thats the the tallest building (24 floors).lol.

I am a Tucsonan and am proud that this building is finally coming to Sim City

Also, emporis lists the tower at 23 floors... it was built the year I was born too!

I can't wait to see it released!
