Gemika : Have at it!  I'm actually not sure why I didn't transit enable them all myself.... just has a momentary lapse I guess....  Just remember, transit enabled lots cannot connect together; you must have at least one network tile in between. Post any pics you like in here, I'd love to see them.

 

I've got my mind on one more smaller shopping center, with smaller businesses, then I think I'll move on fom this genre for a little variety.  I have a couple more hotels in mind, on a little more ritzy level.  Maybe something like the Embassy Suites I did.  That one was fun, and turned out very well I think.  There was a request in the BAT thread for one in particular I'm throwing around.  Sort of a New York landmark.....

I like the idea of the Home Depot, the other one is lacking a bit, but i think maybe a series of restaurants would also be good , like Olive Garden (mentioned before), Chile's, Apple Bee's, Ruby Tuesdays, ummm....maybe a Don Pablo's, Uno's, thats all i can think of!

SG, I'm having problems with your lots. The past few you released in particular. Where the parking lots should be there is just grass. Can you please help?

ert: I had the same problems for awile. Search for texture packs on the STEX and download them all and there will be a parking lot there.

We don't have Home Depot here in Oz, but we have something better Bunnings. They're HUUUGGGEEEE, the ultimate big boy's toyshop. Here are some pics...

 

 

 

Can't quite get the scale yet, have a look at these shots...

 

 

 

 

It would be a large lot in SC. As you can see the stores are just basically warehouses, i.e. cheap to construct). The stores carry all the usual home and hardware stuff. There's an outdoor gardening area at one end (usually covered with shade sails) and a drive through timber pickup section at the other end. Inside they have rows and rows and rows of stuff . The even do kitchens. There's the obligatory kids playarea, kids workshop area, cafe and mini theatrette for home handiman training sessions. Oh, and most importantly, there is always a BBQ out the front where you can get a sausage in bread for the small change left in your pocket (timeslots are given out to different charity organisations, such as school and the scouts, for fundraising).

 

 

No I don't work for Bunnings, but I should have shares in them.

 

Maybe I should think about a Sim Home and Hardware lot?

since the BAT came out i've been looking for someone to make the old-style circular Holiday Inn, like the Holiday Inn Harbor View in San Diego, the Holiday Inn Long Beach, the Holiday Inn by the 405 in LA.

 

if you want a hotel that'll make at least one person freaking exstatic, how about this one?

The real world caught up to me for a few days, but I got a little work done.. this is something slightly different for me, it is based on a legal building I drive by fairly often.  It will have a small domed tower above the roof when it is done.  Not real sure where I will go with it as far as what building use, but it is scaled to fit on a 3x3 lot.  It is still under construction....

Can you make it a court? PLEASE! We don't have any other courts available to us, and especially no BAT courts, and you said it was a legal building! That would be so neat if you did! Consider it!

SG I think this would make a very nice County Courthouse for smaller towns/citys looks very realistic and I love the shape and what you have sofar the textures look very real and I'm not really worried about what you decide to do with it becuase I consider your BATs to be the most realistic looking in the game. Keep Up the great work!

I like this, simgoober. I also think it would make a nice court house that would complement the larger one that Vlakhaas is doing. Then we'd have new courthouses for large and small cities. If you want any help with the lot, give me a shout.

Progress continues.  I like the idea of a small, suburban courthouse. I'll probably go with that.  I have a lot of the structure done, and just need to finish details. The roof needs some work, it's always interesting to see these buildings from other perspectives.  The one I drive by of course I only see from the street, so I don't know what is up there.  I'll throw in some skylights to break it up, and the standard roof junk as well.

Here's a couple in game shots.  I still have to MOD the lot, so it will be a day or two.  It seems you can't change the building on a reward lot, so I may have to do some playing around to get the desired effects.

Here's something else I am playing with.  I have seen several requests for low income, R$ housing.  I see townhouses like this fairly often in suburbs, and could make them in several variations if there is interest.
