Cascavel is a city in western Paraná state. The population is 292.000+ inhabitants. The city is responsible for 26% of the total production of cereals in Paraná. The main crops are soybeans, wheat, corn, rice. It's also a big producer of poultry, swine and beef cattle.
The main industries are food processing , chemicals, metalurgy, and beverages.
Cascavel is also a very important college center.
