this is my first ever upload.
The Scilly Isles are about 50kms west of Cornwall, UK in the Atlantic Ocean. it is a small farming community. i discovered it google earth and found a nav chart to copy it.
i think i have discovered how tweetyjoey's Hong Kong map was made, and in doing so i have created this map along the same lines.
this entire map was hand painted (9hrs work) from a real scale Navigational Chart of the area. the distance between islands is to scale.
the elevation in this map is in steps, as it has been done by hand. when you have rendered the map in you SC4 game, i recommend smooth the terrain on the cities for nice gentle slopes.
config included. the map is 2049x2049 which is for a whopping 36x36 tile region map. the omnibus can show you how to make alternative configs, and how to insert map in game for newcomers.
