This lot was inspired by footage of the infamous outdoor hockey game between the Edmonton Oilers and the Montreal Canadiens. The fans didn't care about the weather, and that only proves that a real Hockey fan would be willing to freeze their ass off to see their team play. I decided to bring this to SimCity 4.
The lot is a Major League Stadium that will not replace the original Baseball Stadium, and it's cheaper to build:
Plop cost: $22,000
Bulldoze: $2,220
Monthly cost: $240
A couple of notes...When you download this building, make sure you also have the Rockefeller Winter Landmark available at the Maxis website, or else the rink prop will be a no-show. When you first plop the lot, the rink won't be there right away, but don't panic...just keep an eye on your date on the bottom left hand corner. When the date rolls over into November, the rink will be there for the season.
