Hi folks, this is the corrected one I talked about. It's somewhat bigger and covers a slightly larger RL area , but it's essentially the same map, just bigger.
This one's on the higher end of region maps at 2881 x 2753, or 46km by 44km (allowing for the fact that a small map is actually 1,024m by 1,024m). I'd suggest a high end computer for rendering this - it took my computer something like 8 hours (ie my computer is NOT a high end computer).
The map is not exactly to scale, but it's very close.
If you choose to use this map, I suggest using the attached config.bmp as it allows all bridges to be constructed roughly where they are in RL.
The coastline on this one is much much smoother, as are the hills. It's hardly pixelated at all, actually.
EDIT: I forgot to mention the need for the 1500m file. Durgh! It can be found inside this download. You want one of the ones with 1500 in the filename.
The import procedure is the same as for my other maps.
I've just uploaded a better config.bmp with mostly large city tiles. The transition to ST7 appears to have borked the original .bmp image, so I've uploaded a new one.
