About This File

This is a map of the valley where Las Vegas is located. I retrieved the data from the USGS website and created the region by lowering the elevation of the area. So, the actual altitued is not correct however, the actual terrain features are. The mountains do not seem nearly as high as they should so if you have any suggestions, let me know and I can play around with it some more. Also, I don't know if Mead Lake should be on this map or not so let me know.

Feel free to edit the map or config file how you see fit. I organized the cities within the region to work around the mountains.

This map is a good example of what I like to see on STEX, either a real-world location or a nicely detailed fantasy map like Middle Earth. I can't criticise on this map.

Its a good basic map of the area, but as the user himself commented, the altitudes are incorrect, which only go's to prove the near impossibilty to create "An accurate scale map" - the whole category is a fallacy, due to the inherent restrictions of the rendering engine
