Remember all that money we spent on these guys? Now where is General Montgomery when we need him? The western world has spend billions on Libya, a lot of it recently, and they can't even keep their ports out of rebel hands. Radicalization of Islam continues in spite of or in accordance with the Saudi regime's mood, apparently. Since Islam lacks a central authority, the number of schisms seems to be multiplying daily as each tinpot Mahdi sets up his own set of jihadists. Something has to be done by the Arabs themselves before the whole works becomes a giant anarchy. The Western states need to keep their hands in their pockets and their people at home.

Obama's take. L.A. Times. The (anti-)social media does it again. People should do a little more thinking about the consequences of their action before committing what they know will be considered to be a sacrilege by some large community. I believe that some sensitivity training is required on all sides, but especially on the "social" media. The Muslim community is especially sensitive to images of any kind, and depicting the prophet in any way is real trouble. In the past, the storming of an embassy would result in an immediate declaration of war. Think about that.

Tripoli is the capital of Libya and dates back to antiquity when in the 7th century BC the Phoenicians founded a city there. See me up CLOSE and personal. This real world map was produced with dem and satellite and measures 53.248km x 45.056km. Utilising 16bit technology and in .SC4M format one requires Wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer to import it into one's game. It is terrain and scale accurate.
