La Gomera is one of Spain's Canary Islands, located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa. In area, it is the second-smallest of the seven main islands of this group. It belongs to the province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Its capital is San Sebastián de La Gomera, where the headquarters of the Cabildo are located. This map is probably even more challenging than my Jan Mayen map. Aside from the railroad connection, which I have no idea how you'll use, this map's resources are extremely difficult to access. The different zones on this map are modeled semi-realistically, very similar to that of the real La Gomera. The rainforests are better left undisturbed for even more challenge, and me being the ultimate bastard of the universe, I placed oil and ore there, as-well as fertile land, which is available from the start. If you really want the oil, you have to butcher the rainforests. If you really want to be renewable, you have to butcher the rainforest too. If you want to be Greenpeace, you have a huge problem to overcome. The rolling hills and mountains are incredibly different to go by. If the Spanish colonized this place, you can too. NOTE: Los Organos is not present here. Sorry. NOTE2: be careful about where you build! I got flooded in a lot of places. -

G'Day Simtropians, Well this brings us to the last Canary, Tenerife. The largest and highest island, with Mount Teide topping out at 3,718m, it is the third largest volcano in the world and Europes largest. The second capital of the Autonomous Community is Santa Cruz de Tenerife. See this map up CLOSE and personal. This real world map is 81.92km x 69.632km and is terrain and scale accurate. Produced with DEM and satellite data and utilising 16bit mapping technology it is in .SC4M format. As it is too large for terraformer to handle only Wouanagaine's mapper will import it into one's game. There are some instructions and links in the readme. I think that's all. Thanks and cheers. -

G'Day Simtropians, Todays maps I wish to present are the last two in the archipelago that is the Canary Islands, requested by Marsh at sc4d. Thanks Marsh. First up is Lanzarote, probably the most benign for building on along with Fuerteventura, it is the lowest and flattest of the all the Canaries although it is pocked with many small craters. The three small islands in the north will make for some good inter-island trade and commuting. See this map up CLOSE and personal. This is a real world map and was produced with dem and satellite data. It measures 46.08km x 65.536km and is terrain and scale accurate. Utilising 16bit mapping technology it is in .SC4M format and requires Wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer to import it into SC4. If using mapper the mapper patch will need to be installed. G'Day Simtropians, Another map in the Canary Island series as requested by Marsh at sc4d, thanks mate and I hope you enjoy these cagefree beauties. La Palma is also a bit rugged with a large volcano right in the high diddle diddle. There is some flatter country on the eastern seaboard for those who are not keen on unleashing their mountain sims. See this map up CLOSE and personal. This is a real world and was produced with dem and satellite data. It is 32.768km x 45.056km and is terrain and scale accurate. Using 16bit mapping technology, it is in .SC4M format. As such one requires Wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer to import into one's game. G'Day Simtropians, Today I am uploading some maps requested by Marsh over at sc4d, Thanks Marsh. This first one is of La Gomera, one of the smaller islands in the chain that makes up the Canary Islands. A volcanic archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa and an autonomous community of Spain. These islands are also the most southern extension of Europe. See this map up CLOSE and personal. This is a real world map and is 28.672km 24.576km. It was produced with satellite and dem data and is terrain and scale accurate. Utilising 16bit mapping technology it is in .SC4M format and requires Wouanagaine's mapper or terraformer to import it into one's game. Links and instructions are in the new look updated readme.
