What's the key hardware factor in SC4 gameplaying?
JohnnyChen replied to JohnnyChen's topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Of course you can get a measurable and feelable improvement BUT don't be fooled, even on state of the art highend systems you won't get a perfectly running sim city 4. at a certain point in city development, the game's performance breaks in, no matter if it's a P4, core 2 quad or i7 (or amd equivalents), and these points aren't too far away from each other Thanks for your detailed suggestion, GMT & Noony Moose. I even think of my 2009 cerelon cpu can be enough on SC4 gameplaying which compare with 6 years before, and now I know I'm some kind of fool -_-! So bascily I learnt from you and now I find the key factor to this "OLD" game is a SUPER CPU with average ram/hd/gfx. SimCity is unlimit, no matter in gameplaying or upgrading. -
What's the key hardware factor in SC4 gameplaying?
JohnnyChen posted a topic in SimCity 4 General Discussion
Hey guys, after a 6 years waiting, I decide to start building a city in SC4RH again. The first thing comes to me is to upgrade my computer which I bought in 2009. I know for SC4RH, a 2009 PC machine is good enough (thinking back to 2003....), but I want to maxmize my SC4RH experience now. So I want to know which hardware is the key factor in providing a best performence during my gameplay? Is it the CPU? the hard disk? the memory? anyway I don't think it's the graphic card... What's your advise? -

The full view of Port of Zhanjiang. This is the phase1, its function is specially for use to load the gas, oil, mines and many other basic resourrces from the cargo ships. In fact, in real life,POZ is China's biggset resources port, over 1/3 African resources(oil, mine etc..)comes to China is load in here.
