  1. Citys with transport layout

I'm surprised you put a water pump in the middle of so much industry. In my vanilla games the pump will become polluted and stop working very quickly as a result so I put them far away usually in residential areas. Thanks for all the rest. Good feedback! Didn't realize the sims are so lazy they won't walk. Cities Skylines seems like the opposite of that where pedestrian is encouraged. Personally, I put bus stops all over the place in SC4 "just because". The game loves to put high density low wealth buildings wherever there is a lot of traffic, that is part of the issue. I think I read some of these are resolved in updates but again I can't get the latest version (or NAM) on the game if purchased and downloaded via the EA app, which seems to be the only way to download the official game these days.
  2. I have uploaded a new medium file called CM2, i hope it will work or please let me know.

Thanks for contacted me about it.

  3. Citys with transport layout

I finally got it working. Seems like you just have to get one map started and then the others kick in like they're connected. I filled your entire large map in about an hour with almost 700k residents. RCI behaved normally. Still lots of abandoned buildings due to commute time. I don't understand why that is since your maps have so much transport. Although I do notice there are not any stations or stops for the rail lines and any subways, could that be part of it? Otherwise, not sure why a Sim wouldn't just drive or walk a block to where I have all the commercial and industry right next to an abandoned building due to commute. Maybe there's a mod for commute. I can't install NAM because I have the EA version of SC4 which apparently is unpatchable and incompatible with that mod. That could be one issue, in which case I've played the game out. Thanks again for your contributions!

The RCI on these are kind of strange. For example the medium city won't build anything on the R plots after 20+ years of running, and with maybe just a couple of commercial and industrial buildings (yes they all have power and water and amenities). RCI is all flatlined or negative. Not sure why unless it's something to do with my region or perhaps these maps have to be connected to others in a certain way?? The small one I got working just fine by itself although the RCI bars are still kinda wonky so I can't really tell what the city needs. Maybe all the roads and infrastructure has done something to it I've never seen before. Anyway, cool maps!

I would rather not give out my email. Can't you post them here? Edit: never mind, I see the link to cites with transport layouts below. I think that's what I'm looking for. Thank you!
  6. Orion's Belt Modpack | Bigger Cities Made Easy!

For what it's worth I tried installing this mod with the EA app on a Win10 gaming PC. It's the only way to buy and download SC 2013 right now as far as I know. If someone knows how to get it on Orion today please let me know, as everything seems to be build around that launcher. That said, the initial screen with the big play button keeps crashing due to the userData folder I discovered. When I remove that one folder I actually get the expanded borders, the new UI, I can build regional roads past the old border, but I CANNOT find any snap points along the new roads inside OR outside the "old' borders. I also can't place any of the individual buildings so something is wrong with the snapping. Yes I followed instructions...saved gave, closed everything, restarted, etc. Maybe it's because I had to remove the userdata folder, but there is no other way to get into the game without an error related to something with the network mode (even when I put the EA app into offline mode only to force single player startup). Yes, people have probably moved on from this game. I loved SC4 but recently discovered SC 2013. The biggest problem with it is the small map sizes. Gets old really fast so I was hoping this mod was the answer. Oh well. What's next? Cities Skylines doesn't have the polish that SimCity has always had IMO. Maybe Skylines 2 will but who knows. The UI there just isn't great. SC always had a great UI without too much complexity.

Does anyone have maps that already have transportation built into them? I'm looking for something I can just run with (press play and watch it grow) not necessarily built out. But this is a good map and makes building out go pretty fast. I just can't ever seem to get the transportation to work well. Thanks.
