  1. Angel of the North (HD)

Didn't know you were still active! Nice BAT, looks great!
  2. Jon 1x1 House A

Very helpful, especially to fill those tight W2W gaps.
  3. Jon 1x2 House B

You've got some fantastic work going here. These are going to make a fantastic addition to my game. 5 stars!
  4. SM Tornado Warning Sirens and Signs

A few years ago, I was looking all over for one of these. It's nice to finally have one. Had it been scaled differently and lotted a bit better, this would've been awesome. I give it 3/5, still!
  5. Cities XL Beta direct download link

I have a quick question. The download has finished, and the file is sitting on my desktop. But when I click to open it, it gives me a list of programs to choose from. What do I choose? I can't install the game until I know how to open the file. Thanks.
  6. Extra Beta Keys? Post here!

    Woo hoo! Got one!
  7. First of all, I'd like to thank you all for coming to visit this CJ. I hope you enjoy this first post, and maybe I'll see you return later on! Westingtown is one of four cities in the large and diverse Windsor County, which is a member of the "Windkloppel Conglomerate", a union of counties found in a small archipeligo in the middle of the Atlantic sea (We'll get further into the history of Westingtown, Windsor County, and the Windkloppel Conglomerate in a future update). This CJ will have many purposes and goals. First, I'd like to build SC4 from the ground up. That's right, I uninstalled my game, and now I plan to organize the appropriate plugins and create my game how I want it to be. I'll continually share with you what plugins I've downloaded and how I've shaped the game to my liking. Secondly, I plan on creating Windsor County (Starting with Westingtown), and later move to various other counties in the Windkloppel Conglomerate. I'd like to include not only the aesthetic and cosmetic aspect, but also the politcal. All in all, this CJ will (hopefully) become a mix of all areas of SC4 and beyond. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to leave a comment to help me reach my goal. This CJ is as much yours as it is mine, so I urge you to add your input! Update 1: Can I even call this an update? I've installed my game today. It brought back a lot of happy memories. Does everyone remember this screen? I haven't booted up the game itself yet. First, I want to get a few essential downloads. In the next update, I'll choose the map for Windsor County off either the ST or SC4D exchange, and begin some basic terraforming to get Westingtown ready for development.
  8. "Teens in Oaktown go to Oaktown High School (duh)" Nice quote there. And those are some pretty expensive houses!
  9. Welcome back! Today, I take my first baby steps toward developing Westingtown. Replies BlondeTwiggy: Thanks for visiting. I'd also like to congratulate you on a job well done in your joint-CJ, Zärin Flumen. It looks really nice! Mellophonius: Someone is smart! Yes, I did. I also go "Windsor" from Grace Windsor Wexler. You have a good eye, my friend. Schulmanator: Thanks, it really feels great to be back. Jacqulina: Thanks, I'm glad I'm back on the CJ scene! I'm sure I'll see you back here soon. Twenty20: Thanks for coming, and I hope I see you back here again! I also really like your username. Archean: That's funny, I didn't notice that. Thanks for stopping by! Equilibria: I see we have another observant poster! You and Mellophonius have a good eye. Update 2: Roads and rails I've decided to use the "NHP Nihau" map for Windsor County. I'll be using various other island regions for the other counties in the Windkloppel Conglomerate, but for now, Windsor County will be our main focus. So over the past few days, I've worked on laying down the main roads and railways around the tile. An overview of the Westingtown tile. I'm so excited to work with this nice little lake! It's a perfect centerpiece for the town. The future downtown of Westingtown. Downtown will become the main center of commerce in this area of Windsor County. The tallest building will be no more than 6 stories high. Downtown will also contain many government buildings, many of which being not only District offices, but County offices as well (Westingtown is the county seat). These include the Windsor County Westingtown District Offices, the Windsor County Supreme Court, and various other facilities. I'll expand on the government system of Windsor County and more in the next update. What will soon become Westingtown's "Old Town". "Old Town" will feature many of the first buildings to appear in Westingtown in the beginning of its history. A peninsula, and the future Westingtown Marina. Located in this natural harbor will be the Westingtown Marina. There will eventually be plenty of boats docked here, along with many businesses and tourist shops. The peninsula will likely remain undeveloped, aside from a trail or two. An avenue overpass, along with the future site of the mayor's home. This lakeshore will feature the mayor's home. The avenue eventually leads to an interstate exit. The interstate sticks to the very edge of the city limits, and has only a few exits leading to Westingtown. All in all, Westingtown will be a small, mainly residential city. Its main use will be governmental: It is the Windsor County Seat, after all! Although there will be a few thriving businesses, it won't necessarily be a center of commerce. Next time, in order to give myself time to begin downloading essential buildings for Westingtown, I'll begin an in-depth analysis on the government and politics of Westingtown and Windsor County, and their role in the Windkloppel Conglomerate. Thanks again for reading!
  10. Unfortunately, I'm having some technical difficulties trying to update. The update will be up tomorrow!
  11. Schulmania

So fancy! Looks like a place for only the finest of felines.
  12. Schulmania

My excitement for this next update simply can't be contained. He he...
  13. Spontaneous Combustion

As yunxiang said, you really shouldn't download off the official exchange. It's best to download from the STEX, LEX, or the various other wonderful exchanges.
  14. Santa Paloma Valley

This sounds really exciting! I love the thought of watching the tiny homstead grow into a town. Maybe this CJ will continue long enough to see it become a modern city! That would be a lot of fun. I'll be back for more!
  15. Paranor Semi-Reboot

Interesting. It seems shocking that King Donaill would make such a sudden move in the complete opposite direction. I wonder if there was a reason behind this...? I suppose I'll find out in later updates!
  16. Show us your Universities, Colleges and Campuses

Amazing universities, everyone. I'm constantly amazed at the talent here.
  17. Creating Andrewtropia

Things are looking very nice so far. I have two small tidbits of advice: 1. Don't put anymore skyscrapers over 40 stories. That downtown is gigantic, and if it gets any bigger it will become unrealistic. Start having the building height slope down now. A downtown that size will need a lot of mid-rises to make it look decent, and even more suburbs. Be prepared! 2. In my opinion, the 20-lane highway going into the avenue would be a nightmare to drive along. It's one, huge intersection that would have way to many cars. Try having have the lanes split to the left and the other half to the right, and then have them split further, so you eventually have four possible exits (Per direction) a driver could use. This would ease the madness on the exits. Everything else looks nice. Good luck!
  18. The Source- Custom Lotting at its Finest

A very pleasant update. Everything blends so beautifully.
  19. Schulmania

I think these are the best nature pictures I've seen from you!
  20. Ruins

    Great idea. Consider making more!
  21. Schulmania

Ha ha! I'm glad you're glad I'm back (If that makes any sence...). Those maps certainly prove how much I've missed while I was gone. Looks like I have some catching up to do! -Jason
  22. Schulmania

Heh...haven't been here in a while... Glad to be back!
  23. Montanna Bay

Montana Bay is a small, independent nation sandwiched between North Dakota and Saskatchewan, Canada. It's home to just over 900,000 people, most of whom live in small villages and towns scattered across the countryside. Founded in 1878 through the "National Independence Act", Montanna Bay broke away from Canadian rule to form its own nation. Here are a few teasers until the first update:
  24. I live less then an hour away from Binghamton, so this event is extremly scary to me, especially since we live in the middle of dariy country where the chance to be on national TV only comes once every decade or so. It's so strange to see places I go by all the time on CNN and other news networks. There are a lot of misconceptions that the news networks are putting out about Binghamton. First of all, it is NOT a "small town". It may be smaller then where these big-shot news stations are coming from, but it is by no means small. They're putting out that the city has about 50,000 people, which is true, but Greater Binghamton has over 100,000, which in my opinion is not small. Also, they seem to be thinking that the University is right next door to where this happened, even though it's definitely not. BU is located in Vestal, which is part of Greater Binghamton, but it's by no means near this civic center. The misunderstood the woman who said there was "student-housing" right next door. What she meant was that students live in apartments next door, but most news stations took it as they were college-owned dorms . I know this isn't much about the event itself, but I thought it was important that these misconceptions were cleared up.
  25. I saw right through your trick, Jill! Ha ha, no offense, I'm just overly vigilant when it comes to looking out for pranks. I knew you wouldn't dare do anything like that!
