  1. My take on the whole thing is that its going to be ages before we see another SimCity game because those crazy kids over at Maxis are working on the whole Sim experience in one package. SimCity with micromanagement down to The Sims level. Just imagine.
  2. Glacier Valley

You're gonna love it when Jeronij finishes those diagonal dirty streets, should fit in perfectly with the them you have going so far. Excellent work, and good story telling.
  3. Under Network Scenery

Theres also a little item on the STEX that helps to blend elevated rail and monorail with the rest of the city. They're a bit tough to place, but it turns out lookin pretty good, like so: see?
  4. Newark

That interchange is exceedingly clever. Good work.
  5. Prentiss Textile Mill

I like it as an anchor lot for the canals, lends a lot to the effect. It doesn't seem to have a query window though.
  6. Grygera, City of

That looks sick, your downtown is extremely well put together. It has a very believable feel. Nice touch putting all the Eastland Grand lots together too. Good stuff.
  7. This is great, nice job resisting the urge not to use roads right from the start. It feels very natural, which is what I really like in a sim city. Keep up the good work.
  8. New mod: Slope smoothing

How does this one compare to the CSX version? I'm using it right now and find myself largely satisfied with the results, though it irks me to no end when I misplace a road tile and screw up whole slopes. I imagine thats not unique to any one version though.
  9. The City of Danavia

Looks promising, your layouts are pleasing to the eye, and it looks like you probably have some pretty whacky transit systems up your sleeve. If I may suggest though, replace the toll booths with Snoopy's new ones? Unless you think the style wouldn't fit with the asphalt mod, I think it'd probably look a bit better than what you have...but that's me. Good start.
  10. -=CORDOVA=- ; a gurrgkud CJ

This one is going places. Nice work.
  11. whats your highest populated city?

The first city I haven't quit on since getting the game, Founders Flat; population approximately 187,000 sims. Full 1280x1024 version: Here And a region shot, The Region Formerly Known as New York; population approximately 375,000 sims. The city next to Founders Flat has about 118k at the time of this shot. I really need to make more suburbs.
  12. Show us your most unique and creative transportation network!

Yeah, its stupid for real life, but just right for fun in simcity.
  13. Welcome to Hobbitton

I like where you're going with this. Is that lot we're seeing going to look as though it's built into the the side of a hill? Because that's exactly what it looks like you're going for with both the picture and the layout of your hills and whatnot. Getting that illusion is KEY for this project, and I'd say you're getting there. Oh yes. PAGE 4!
  14. The Republic of Nadolia

Those boats look a bit stuck, I'm sure they're just ornamental though. Good mix of the european and american feel. The shiny midrises are a nice contrast to the old world sardine packs.
  15. Wow. Just wow. I'm amazed.
  16. I love that ground-clock and simply must have it. As well as the towers in the bottom of the second-to-last picture. I must know!
  17. The Deucalion

Fits in the midrise skylines perfectly.
  18. I really like the lakes between all the farms, that's a swift idea; and how it feeds into the canals in the city, the masterstroke. Nice, very nice. Let's see mosaic 2!
  19. Lindaraja

This is a great change from the regular stuff. Now lets see some skyscrapers in the castle. Just kidding. We all know you'll come up with something that fits perfectly.
  20. Fairveiw (My first CJ)

All I can say is bigger pictures please! It looks promising, but the pics are so tiny I can barely see any detail! Lets see those crazy transit systems and creative use of the custom lots. Good luck with it all.
  21. Big Bertha, British Columbia

That is one MASSIVE region, it must have taken you days to terraform all that. It's sure going to make one hell of a huge cityscape. I look forward to seeing what you can make of it. Seeing what you've done with PEG's lots and tunnels and whatnot, it's bound to be good. It all serves as inspiration to break me out of my crappy grid city mold. Hat's off to you good sir. By the way, where can I nab those street textures? I want to replace the dirt roads I'm stuck with now.
  22. My sims prefer Engrish. Not only can they communicate, but its a constant source of entertainment.
  23. Narva Headquater

Looks good in my skylines. Glad to have it in there.
  24. Show us your most unique and creative transportation network!

I just can't gush enough about how great ST is (and SCC too, but I have no forum account there). So I'll leave it at saying, Simtropolis is freakin' awesome. After looking through this thread and countless CJs, I was compelled to make something of my own. I think it'll make for a good second post. 800x600 of course. It's the first remotely unique intersection I've come up with, felt eager to share. Just have to fix that stray retaining wall tile. :/ I always get confused on those corners.
