i am not advertising a minecraft mod installer nicistarful, I am Just bringing it up because i have been trying to download simcity mods, but i don't know how. then i thought, i have gotten mods on my minecraft before, by Skyaz, and i thought, what if someone made a web site that would make downloading and installing minecraft mods just a bit, or a chunk easier, because whenever i try to get a simcity mod, i just get something that i don't want or don't need.

This is incorrect. Universities are only needed if you want to research or have high tech industry. Community Colleges (and education levels of Elite MegaTowers) offer the best "bang for your buck" and upgrade industry to medium tech/manufacturing. High Schools have the benefit of being the most compact and elementary schools are virtually useless once you unlock high schools. However, you are correct that all students should be educated because lack of education causes several problems. --Ocram well i saw when i was playing that there are 2 types of students, primary and college students so both grade/high and collage/university are both needed. It is nesesary to have every single educational building because if you have about 50000 sims in your city and a insufficent police coverage then education is EXTREMLY nessesary because education will eliminate criminals and police won't be nessesary but still slightly needed

7-Zip also works with Windows 8 too. The number 7 in the name has nothing to do with being only compatible for Win 7. Got it. Next time I can get the mod I will follow what you said. Thx for the help

Most of Oppie's mods (including the Central Train Station) are packaged in RAR archives. To me it sounds like your computer doesn't recognise this file extension, so is unsure what to do with it. By default, Windows can only open and extract ZIP archives. So to fix it, you'll need to install some kind of file manager that has this capability. I'd personally recommend 7-Zip for this task -- a lightweight but very powerful tool. Once configured and installed, you can associate 7-Zip with the list of supported file types. Make sure rar is checked in the options as follows: Note: You may need to run the program as an administrator in order for the changes to be saved. Once done, when attempting to download, a window will open (this is from Firefox, other browsers will display this slightly differently): All you'll then need to do is extract the contents using 7-Zip into the SimCityData folder. I have this problem when i was trying to download the Central train station mod. my computer said "how would you like to open this file?" i have the newer version of windows and it just wont download. all i need is to know how to download the mod.

Hi modders, can you guys develop a mod that makes that 2 or 3 lane roads that have emergency vehicles driving down and make the Sims drive to the right of the road for the emergency vehicle to get to the fire or crime or injured sim.

I thought up of a mod that would add a new type of mega tower floor called the hybrid. the hybrid floor would basically have 2 or 3 or even 4 floors in one, even if they are the same type. and it would take the same amount of space as one mega tower floor. ITS THE FUTURE! but it would have to be researched by the academy with all four extensions added and 2 floors = 80000 simolions, 3 = 14000, and 4 = 18000. so even though you can pack more Sims in one mega tower, it is EXTREMELY expensive and your city will need to be close to complete in its development I hope you like my first mod idea/first post and modders, i hope you will consider making this idea into a mod for simcity 5 cities of tomorrow JohnDin05
