EA Working On Unannounced 'Maxis Style Sim Game'
leonel1982 commented on Dirktator's article in News
Why don't you just tear out my heart and save me the pain?! -

Hope I get in!

Damn you've been busy! Good job!

That is quite clearly City Life. City Life is the only city simulator I know that allows for a very free form way of laying road.

I'm okay for the online activation but I'll just have to tolerate the 3 installs and make sure to uninstall Spore when wiping my system.

Will you subscribe to the "planet offer" thing?
leonel1982 replied to Soviet779's topic in Cities XXL
It would depend. I'd have to see it in action before I made any commitments. But it could be really cool though! -
I can definitely tolerate a one time activation and requiring an authentication when downloading patches and stuff. But I don't like the 3 activations part, considering I tend to mess my system up on occasion and I have to reinstall everything.

I started with SimCity 2000. I was something like 14 walking with my dad in downtown Hong Kong and we went to the place where there were Mac stores. I saw SimCity 2000 and asked my dad to buy it for me. He told me that I should use my own money, of which I had none. So I signed in defeat and we went home. Several days later, my dad calls me into his work area and I discover that not only did he upgrade his Macintosh SE/30 to a Macintosh IIsi, SimCity 2000 is on the screen!

SimCity Societies vs City Life - Which sucks more/less?
leonel1982 replied to UrbanLegend's topic in City-Building Games
I'm sad to say but SCS sucked more. At least with City Life you can build realistic curving roads and have cities that look fairly realistic instead of cartoony. -
Why EA is every serious gamer's nightmare

In my eyes, I have yet to see any worst buildings.

I discovered that talking to yourself makes you look crazy. So now I'm just doing inner monologues in my head. What? Too weird? Doesn't matter since most of Portland's populace makes talking to yourself look like a nervous twitch!

Alternate History Architecture
leonel1982 replied to decola's topic in Architecture & Urban Planning
I suggest the Great Hall that Albert Speer built in the book Fatherland, which is an alternate history of what if Germany had survived the war and conquored all of Europe and Russia. The Great Hall makes the Brandenburg gate look like a footstool. -
Neat! I think I passed by that building once when I was taking the green MTR line east! I recall looking at the openings with great interest.

Welcome to the Commonwealth of Hong Kong

Apologies for the lack of updates! I've come across a job and that's been taking up a lot of my time recently. So now as a rule of thumb I will be trying for a weekly update. -

Welcome to the Commonwealth of Hong Kong

simcitic Yes but in this alternative history, Hong Kong is really strapped for space so they got to construct airports close to the city. 2s I'll be doing that in a few hours actually! Just gotta edit my posting, upload the pictures etc. yaptszwai Yes Wanchai actually does, more than Center Point and yes I lived in Shatin from 1989 - 2000 with me coming back from university until 2003. Till next update! -
I voted Joe90 because, not to be biased or anything, when I think about advances in road systems I think the American highway system, considering that what America had before then were dirt roads. Not to mention that life in America thrived on the highway system, especially Los Angeles in which the city was BUILT around the car. Not to mention that the little b/w illustration of the highway could be the possibilities of what NAM can offer, which from what I can see already do offer.

Welcome to the Commonwealth of Hong Kong

Thank you for your kind words, folks! The next update will be concerning Center Point, which in the real world is called Central. jesselong Yes I saw your region. It looks like it's coming along excellently! The addition of trees makes it all the more real. Until next update! -
Portland has the MAX that covers the metro area east and west of Portland. The blue line goes all the way from Gresham through Portland to Hillsboro. The red line goes from Portland to the Airport and there's a new yellow line that goes from Portland to a convention center very near the Washington state border. http://www.trimet.org
